Chapter 338:Agros The First Devotee Of Lord Of 2nd Layer of Hell
Inside the black mist, Ethan was flung inward
by a massive dark hand had wrapped around his body, binding him tightly. The grip was strong, filled with vile energy, yet Ethan did not struggle.
He had to admit it.
The sudden appearance of the hand had taken him by surprise but could break free at any moment, but instead, he chose to let it pull him in.
SWOOOSH!
The hand dragged him deeper, toward the center of the inner area where everything had already turned to dust and rubble. Broken stones floated in the air as if gravity itself had been twisted.
Around him, strange creatures began to form. Their bodies were half-solid and half-smoke, their shapes shifting as low growls echoed from every direction.
The hand finally stopped.
From the thick mist ahead, two enormous swirling eyes opened. They burned with nefarious flames, staring directly at Ethan.
A chill ran down his spine when those eyes locked onto him.
“So it was you who foiled my plans,” a deep voice echoed.
Ethan tilted his head slightly. “When did I?” he replied calmly. “That stupid king did most of the work.”
“Slander…That’s some stupid biased slander on my character.”
The eyes narrowed.
“You… Do you think of me as a fool?”
“For that, I need to know who you are,” Ethan shot back. “I do not even know you.”
A low, heavy hum filled the space.
“Hmmm,” the voice responded. “An ant wants to know my name.”
“Very well.”
“Then listen carefully.”
The mist churned violently.
“I am Agros, the First Devotee of the Lord of the Second Layer of Hell. Today, I will kill you and use your life as a sacrifice to open the gates for the hell army to descend. Hahahahaha!”
Wild, chilling laughter followed, mixed with a roar that shook the ground.
Ethan’s eyes widened slightly.
“A portal to hell?” he muttered. “Damn. What kind of crazy shit do people even do these days?”
“Hey.”
Agros’s laughter stopped abruptly.
The massive eyes focused on Ethan’s small figure.
“You are just a projection of some super powerful guy, right?” Ethan asked.
“Yes,” Agros answered coldly. “So what?”
Ethan’s lips slowly curled upward into a dark, sinister grin.
“Then fuck off.”
The next moment, his body exploded with momentum.
[Battle Frenzy]
BOOOOM!
Crackling sounds erupted from Ethan as the mana inside his body churned violently, spinning like a raging tornado. His power surged instantly, pushing him to his limits.
But Ethan knew.
It still was not enough.
“Time to summon family,” he muttered.
BOOOOM!
It felt as if invisible shackles binding him had shattered. Powerful gales erupted from his body, ripping through the surrounding mist.
Crackling sounds echoed one after another as he activated All for One.
His aura climbed rapidly.
Early Emperor Realm.
Middle Emperor Realm.
Late Emperor Realm.
Then it broke through.
His power surged past the Emperor Realm entirely and slammed into the Legendary Knight Stage, surpassing everything before it.
Agros roared in shock and fury.
“Mortalllllll!”
“Do you think sacrificing your life is enough to defeat me? Dream on!”
“You can think whatever you want,” Ethan shouted, waving his hand forward.
A massive shockwave burst out like a whip, slamming into Agros. The dark hand that had been gripping Ethan was blasted apart, torn into fragments of shadow.
Agros’s figure finally materialized fully.
It was enormous.
Its body was as large as a building, towering like a walking calamity. Its form was twisted and monstrous, radiating pure destruction.
A massive sword made of bone formed in its hand.
Agros swung it down with terrifying force.
But Ethan did not retreat.
Sacred Luminous Swordsmanship surged through his body as he raised his greatsword and struck back.
BOOOOOOM!
The two attacks collided head-on, producing a sharp, resonating sound that pierced the air.
The ground beneath them shattered.
Cracks spread outward instantly, and a bottomless pit opened beneath their feet.
BOOM!
Agros staggered backward, clearly taken aback.
It could not believe that a mere mortal was able to push it back.
Fury consumed it.
Agros roared and began swinging its massive sword wildly, each strike carrying enough power to erase entire districts. Buildings were sliced apart like paper, and shockwaves ripped through the ruins.
Ethan moved.
His figure blurred as he jumped, twisted, and leapt through the air, narrowly dodging each devastating blow. Stone shattered behind him as attacks missed by inches.
“Ahhhhh!” Agros screamed in rage. “Stop it, you slippery fish, and just die!”
The bone sword glowed violently as Agros raised it high. Dark power gathered, swirling around the blade before erupting outward.
A beam of annihilation fired forward.
The beam tore through the land, erasing everything in its path. Entire sections of the capital vanished in an instant, reduced to nothingness.
Ethan’s eyes sharpened.
He gripped his sword tightly, his body glowing with sacred light as he prepared to meet the destruction head-on; however , seeing the attack,he just simply ran and avoided it.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The ground seemed to collapse and vanished into nothingness…
Argos, seeing this roared angrily,”Get back here.”
The bone sword in his hand glowed violently. Dark runes crawled along its surface like living scars, each one pulsing with curses and hatred. Flames with the color of dried blood wrapped around the blade, hissing and screaming as if countless souls were trapped inside.
Agros raised the sword high and brought it down.
The air screamed.
A massive arc of cursed fire and darkness tore forward, splitting the ground even before it reached Ethan. The land cracked open like fragile glass.
The remaining buildings, streets, and towers were swallowed by the wave, erased as if they had never existed.
Ethan wanted to retreat but felt life’s presence behind.
“Fuckk…If I dodged this time the attack might have stuck them.”
His eyes hardened, and sacred light surged through his body. The greatsword in his hands hummed as golden light wrapped around its blade, clashing violently against the incoming darkness.
BOOOOOOM!
The two forces collided.
A deafening explosion erupted, sending shockwaves ripping outward in all directions. The ground collapsed further, forming massive craters. Debris was thrown into the sky, and chunks of stone the size of houses were reduced to dust midair.
Ethan was pushed back by several miles, his boots carving deep trenches into the ground. His arms trembled, but he held firm.
Agros laughed, a deep, distorted sound.
“Feel it!” he roared. “This sword carries a thousand curses. Each strike rots the soul, burns the flesh, and devours hope!”
He swung again.
This time, the bone sword split into multiple afterimages. Each strike carried cursed flames and black lightning, attacking from different angles at once.
CLANG! CLASH! BOOOOM!
Ethan moved around emitting lightening flickers.
He blocked one strike, twisted his body to dodge another, and parried a third. Each collision sent violent shockwaves through the battlefield. Sacred light and cursed fire collided again and again, tearing the surroundings apart.
A cursed blade grazed Ethan’s side.
Dark flames clung to his armor, hissing as they tried to eat into his flesh. The curse spread instantly, black veins crawling along his skin.
Ethan gritted his teeth.
Light burst from his body, burning the curse away with a sharp hiss. The flames screamed as they vanished.
Agros’s eyes widened slightly.
“You can burn curses and even heal your wounds?” he snarled with a perplexed expression.
