Chapter 60: First Fusion

Qing remained silent as he thought, ’Only some seven hours remain for my remaining time here. Many things must have passed in Earth by now...’ He closed his eyes for a bit before exhaling a long breath. He knew he couldn’t do anything about it, as that was simply the function of the system.

’For now, I need to take measures here. At least time will be stopped here once I work in Earth. Yes... One needed to form that fusion inside their own Dantiain so that it could become integrated into the very Dantiain that stored their energy. After all, if he were to convert Spiritual Qi into two different elements outside his body and then fuse them, it would become a ’technique’ even if he successfully fused them, rather than becoming a permanent fused element.

He immediately channeled the ambient Qi in the atmosphere through his Spiritual Roots and started converting it into the most basic elements, Fire and Wind. Both came through two different Spiritual Roots inside his Dantiain, and the moment they arrived there, Qing felt the heat pressing down on his Dantiain as if it were going to burn his entire being.

"KHUG!"

He clenched his teeth as sweat ran down his temples. Then came Wind from another side, and the moment both elements arrived at the same place, Qing felt as if an electric shock was running through his entire body, ’NOW!’

He immediately forced his will upon both elemental energies. The moment he did so, both started to rotate around each other first before gradually beginning to mix, while the heat only continued to increase as most of the Fire’s properties began consuming the Wind’s properties.

’Damn, just fuse already!’ He shouted inside his mind as he could already see the process through his Spiritual Self inside his own self while he controlled it. The moment he forced his will upon the elemental energies once again, both merged forcefully, and the Fire blazed with greater intensity while swirling around like the Wind as well.

Qing finally felt the fused element beginning to come under his control. All this time, it was as though both elements had been rampaging through his entire being, making it difficult for him to maintain control over them. Blood suddenly came out of Qing’s nose and his closed eyes, ’Guess this process is really difficult as the rumors say.’

He thought as he finally opened his eyes, the blazing and swirling Fire now resting inside his Dantiain itself. The two elements had successfully fused together, and the result was now under his control, after a long moment of panting heavily Qing finally felt relieved, ’Phew, good heavens, my daintain is still intact.’

’Fusion had another boon I had almost forgotten. Once I fused the individual elements, I wouldn’t need to convert them through Spiritual Roots anymore. I can directly convert from the get-go from my Dantiain itself.’ He mused in his thoughts as a small smile appeared on his face.

Just as he was thinking that, the system screen appeared as he had suspected.

Qing nodded as he looked at the result, thinking, ’The name is a bit peculiar though. I was thinking of naming it ’Infernal Gale’ but well, whatever.’ He dismissed the matter of its name and focused on the power he had just successfully fused, wanting to see how much strength it possessed even without being used through any proper technique.

He extended his index finger and released only a small amount of the fused elemental Qi. The moment it left his body, the tiny shapeless flame twisted together with the surrounding Wind before shooting forward and rapidly expanding as it drew in the Wind in the atmosphere.

The fused Qi struck the wall of the room and burned its surface slightly before fading away. Qing calmly looked at the result, his eyes narrowing slightly as he realized that even such a small amount of the fused elemental Qi possessed considerably more destructive power than he had expected.

’On that matter, I think that guy Jin had some Ace up his sleeve that he couldn’t reveal because of how fast the match ended.’ He thought on that matter as he remembered how Jin had still been confident talking about another duel.

’Well, for now I need some sleep again, even if I am a Cultivator, I am a human from Earth first and human habit to sleep will never go.’
