Paradox: Sign-In Across Two Worlds
Chapter 40: Sudden Reaction [R18]
Qing remained silent as he watched Yue sniffle from a mixture of gratitude and slight happiness, and a faint smile eventually appeared on his lips. ’At least the problem is solved for now...’ he thought, feeling some of the tension that had been weighing on him finally disappear.
Several moments passed as Yue continued wiping away the tears on her cheeks, but she seemed unable to completely calm herself down.
It wasn’t until nearly half an hour later that her crying finally stopped, leaving the room quiet once again. Qing continued watching her without saying anything, giving her enough time to recover from the emotions that had overwhelmed her.
Yue slowly lifted her face and looked toward Qing, and the moment she saw the faint smile on his face, something inside her suddenly reacted. A strange surge of emotion passed through her chest, causing her cheeks to flush red as the Heavenly Bond Constitution reacted before her conscious mind could even understand what was happening.
Without warning, her hands moved to both sides of Qing’s face and held him firmly before she leaned forward and pressed her lips against his.
"Mph! Mhmmm!!" Qing’s eyes widened as he felt her tongue invading his mouth suddenly, ’W-Wait! What the hell?!... Her Constitution! Fuck!’ He screamed inside his mind as she laid him down on the bed completely without leaving his mouth, her soft moans echoed through the entire room, "Mmmm...mmmm." as if she was devouring the most delicious thing in the whole world.
Before he could react properly, Yue’s Spiritual Energy began resonating with his, and the Constitution’s instinctive reaction made it difficult for her to pull herself away.
Qing could only endure her kiss as she forcefully pushed him down onto the bed, her strength being on a level that even his current combined strength with his Astrine Blade, along with his current Cultivation Realm, couldn’t possibly compare to.
After all, she was three whole stages above him, making the difference between their physical strength far too great for him to resist her, ’Damn it, it’s the second time now! B-But how can she be this good at kissing? Is it her Constitution or some kind of instinct?!’
The indecent moans couldn’t escape the room as Yue had created the sound barrier earlier, making it impossible for Qing to escape from her clutches right now.
Several minutes later, Yue finally pulled away and began breathing heavily, her face still bright red as she looked at Qing. "Huff... huff... T-That should be enough for now. The Constitution seems to have gone inactive again..." She lowered her head slightly before speaking in a weak voice, "S-Sorry for that, Qing."
However, despite her apology, the expression on her face was completely different from her words, and the obvious satisfaction she was struggling to hide made Qing’s expression become complicated.
’Maybe I really am screwed... I’m sorry, Alice!’ he cried internally as a painful feeling appeared in his chest, because even though the situation had been caused by Yue’s Constitution, it still felt strangely similar to betraying the person he loved.
Qing let out a mental sigh as he thought about Alice and the inevitable explanation he would eventually have to give her. ’I-I’ll eventually have to explain everything to her, and when I do... I already know a catastrophe is waiting for me.’
He could already imagine Alice’s anger reaching a level he had never witnessed during his previous life, and the thought alone made him feel a headache coming on. Still, there was nothing he could resolve at this moment, and he couldn’t allow this unexpected problem to interfere with everything he needed to accomplish in the Azure Heaven Realm.
’For now, I’ll deal with everything one step at a time.’ Qing finally looked toward Yue and spoke in an awkward voice, "S-Senior Yue, you don’t need to apologize. I understand the situation, but... could you get off me now?"
Yue seemed to finally realize their current position, and her entire face became even redder. She immediately released Qing and vanished from the bed, appearing beside it in an instant while deliberately turning her back toward him.
Qing slowly sat up and adjusted his clothes before stepping down from the bed, while Yue remained facing the opposite direction for several moments as she tried to regain her composure. Once the awkwardness had settled down slightly, Qing cleared his throat and said, "Alright, we should probably go outside now. Han and the others must be waiting, and don’t we need to arrange a safe place for the Stoneheart Sect’s people?"
Yue’s flushed expression gradually returned to normal as she turned toward him and nodded, "Y-Yes, we need to do that," Yue answered before hesitating for a moment. Her expression became embarrassed again as she looked toward Qing, clearly remembering the promise he had made earlier.
"But what about you? You’re coming with me to the Nine Lotus Sect, right? You said it yourself the other day." Qing smiled when he saw her expression and nodded without hesitation.
"Yes, I will be coming to the Nine Lotus Sect as a disciple of the sect." The moment those words left his mouth, Yue’s embarrassment immediately disappeared and was replaced by a delighted expression, causing Qing to shake his head slightly at her sudden change.
"Let’s go now," he said before stepping toward the door, and Yue quickly followed after him.
...
A few minutes later...
At the front of the Stoneheart Sect, every surviving member of the sect stood together in front of the Nine Lotus Sect cultivators, waiting for whatever decision they were going to make.
Han stepped forward from among the Nine Lotus Sect members and spoke loudly enough for everyone to hear, "Now that we have dealt with the Demons in this eastern part of the Azure Heaven Realm, we will be taking our leave, but before we do that, we need to make sure that you survivors of the Stoneheart Sect, along with the survivors from the other Sects who eventually came here, remain safe!"
He looked across the gathered survivors before continuing, "For that reason, we are going to send all of you to the central part of the Azure Heaven Realm. Once you show the token of our Nine Lotus Sect, any Sect you approach will take you in immediately and provide you with protection. Even the weakest Sects in the central region have cultivators at the Core Formation Realm among their members."
"So surviving there against the Demons will be far easier than remaining here and waiting for your deaths." Han finished, his expression becoming slightly solemn as he turned toward Qing. The survivors remained silent for a moment as they processed his words, but several of them exchanged confused glances because they couldn’t understand how they were supposed to travel such an enormous distance.
After all, the central part of the Azure Heaven Realm was hundreds of thousands of miles away from their current location, and none of them possessed the strength to travel such a distance on their own.
Qing immediately understood what Han was conveying when he saw him turn toward him. He nodded before walking toward the empty, massive circular platform located beside the destroyed entrance of the Stoneheart Sect.
It had originally been used as a training ground for the disciples of the Stoneheart Sect, but after the Demon attack, several sections had been damaged, and blood had stained much of its surface. Qing had already erased the bloodstains with his Spiritual Qi earlier, so the remaining space was more than enough for what he intended to do.
Qing immediately crouched down and began drawing a massive Formation across the circular platform. Han quickly appeared on the opposite side and began drawing his own portion of the Formation. The two continued working without saying anything, and within a few moments, an enormous and complicated Formation had been completed across the entire platform.
The survivors immediately realized what they were looking at, and several of them widened their eyes when they understood that the Formation was meant for teleportation.
However, there was one major problem.
’Where are they going to get enough Spiritual Qi to send nearly a hundred people hundreds of thousands of miles away?’
Even Han had been wondering about the same thing, but Qing had already given him an idea before they began constructing the Formation. He had integrated a separate Spiritual Qi Circulation Formation directly into the teleportation Formation, allowing it to draw the ambient Spiritual Qi from the surrounding atmosphere and continuously circulate it through the Formation itself.
The idea had sounded absurd to Han when Qing first explained it to him because the amount of Spiritual Qi required to teleport nearly a hundred people across such a massive distance should have been enormous.
However, once Qing demonstrated that the Formation could continuously gather and refine the surrounding Spiritual Qi before using it as the energy source for the teleportation, Han had been left completely speechless.
It was an unconventional method that would have been extremely difficult for an ordinary Formation Master to create, but with Qing’s comprehension, the entire process had been reduced to something he could execute with ease.
For now, Han could only sigh internally as he looked at the completed Formation. "Alright, everyone, prepare yourselves. Once the Formation activates, you will be transported directly to the central region."
