Pampering Discarded Heroines Triggers My 10,000x Rebate System
Chapter 138: The Conservatory
The iron gates of the Albright estate shut with a low rumble behind them as the armored car moved smoothly down the winding cobblestone hills of District 2.
Inside the passenger cabin, Amber held the gold-embossed deed against her lap, tracing the constellation seal of House Vesper.
"Twelve acres in District Three," she murmured with admiration in her dark-brown eyes. "Lord Albright kept every inch safe from House Vance for two years. He truly respected Calista’s family."
"He’s a man of principles," Zephyra agreed, holding the four-inch celestial brass key. "Rare in this city."
Evren settled back into his leather seat with a calm smile. He retrieved the embossed platinum VIP card the chief apothecary had slipped him earlier that morning, complete with a direct twenty-four-hour concierge line.
Evren dialed the number on his phone.
"Old Spire Concierge," the chief apothecary answered on the second ring. "Chief Apothecary speaking. How may we assist you?"
"This is Chairman Evren. I need three auxiliary reagents from your high-grade vault," Evren said smoothly. "Three ounces of cold-distilled Moon-frost dew, four ounces of crushed celestial lotus petals, and one sealed vial of pure silver marrow."
"All three are in stock in our reserve, Chairman," the apothecary replied respectfully. "Total cost is uhmm... a minute please." There was a pause on the other end for about ten seconds before he returned. "That’s about one million five hundred thousand dollars."
"I’ll take them," Evren said without hesitation. "Send over your account. Package them in a climate-controlled lockbox and dispatch an armored courier immediately to Room 104 at the Imperial Sanatorium. Guild Master Walter’s men will receive the delivery."
"Transmitting our priority account details to your device right now, Chairman," the apothecary replied. "Our courier will depart the second settlement confirms."
A soft chime sounded as the verified billing link appeared on Evren’s screen.
Evren tapped his phone, authorizing the one point five million dollar transfer from his account. The transaction cleared in a split second, chiming with an instant confirmation.
"Payment received in full, Chairman," the apothecary said with genuine awe. "The armored courier is rolling out immediately. Arrival within forty minutes."
"Good," Evren said, ending the call.
A brilliant golden flash washed across Evren’s vision as the familiar system bell rang in his mind.

Evren pocketed his phone with satisfaction. Spending one point five million on Calista’s reagents had just poured another one point five billion in liquid capital into his account.
"Reagents are en route to the hospital," Evren told the girls. "Now let’s go get her family’s crown jewel."
—
Twenty minutes later, the town car pulled up to District 3 and stopped in front of a huge stone wall topped with sharp iron spikes. At the center stood thirty-foot wrought-iron gates shaped like blooming constellations, tangled in silver ivy. Faint blue barrier runes flickered across the bars.
Evren stepped out with Amber and Zephyra, approaching the central star-shaped lock.
He inserted the four-inch celestial brass key and turned it clockwise.
A hum echoed through the quiet avenue.
The dormant runes flared into radiant azure starlight, cycling through ancient authentication sequences. A second later, the defensive arrays deactivated with a chime.
With a deep mechanical groan, the massive gates slowly swung open, parting for the first time in two years. "Incredible..." Amber breathed, stepping past the threshold.
Before them lay the twelve-acre House Vesper Ancestral Conservatory.
Soaring crystal domes rose like interconnected glass cathedrals under the sun, framed in brass and diamond-patterned starlight glass.
Wide flagstone pathways were flanked by dry stone aqueducts, while Albright’s maintenance wards kept the interior climate perfectly regulated.
Luminescent blue mosses and dormant star-bushes lined the terraced gardens, sleeping peacefully in the quiet air.
"This isn’t just a garden," Zephyra whispered, her violet eyes scanning the glass canopies. "This is a sacred sanctuary."
"Calista’s great-grandfather spent forty years building this soil," Evren said, leading them toward the center. "Let’s find the central arbor."
They walked past dormant alchemical greenhouses until they reached the center of the conservatory.
There, beneath the highest prismatic glass dome, stood the Star-Arbor Sanctuary.
At the center sat an elevated circular terrarium of white celestial marble, filled with soil sparkling like the night sky. Growing in the middle was a single magnificent tree.
Standing ten feet tall, its translucent emerald trunk reached upward as its graceful branches spread toward the glass ceiling, filled with star-shaped leaves that shimmers with pale starlight.
"The Astral Star-Jade Tree," Evren said softly.
"It’s completely healthy," Amber said in wonder. "After two years without Calista, it’s still thriving."
"House Vesper built the soil to be self-sustaining," Evren explained. "It feeds on starlight filtered through the dome."
Next to the terrarium was a carved cedar potting bench. Preserved inside stasis wards, an antique brass rack held House Vesper’s runic silver tools, along with jars of grafting resin and a velvet-lined harvesting case.
Evren walked over and picked up a runic silver trowel that was crafted from pure silver to ensure common metals wouldn’t poison sensitive astral roots.
Recalling Page 42 of the grimoire, he knew the crucial rule: never touch the central taproot. Severing the main column would shock the tree, withering the star-jade marrow to ash within minutes.
Evren activated Kinetic Flow. Faint geometric lines traced across the silver soil in his vision, mapping the subtle mana currents of the root system below.
Guided by the glowing flow, Evren crouched by the marble edge, carefully parting the loose silver soil eight inches away from the trunk.
His blade uncovered pale-green root runners radiating outward like spiderwebs.
Following a thick lateral branch, Evren found what he was looking for: a swollen rhizome nodule resting four inches beneath the surface. Through its emerald skin, bright azure sap pulsed like liquid starlight.
"Found it," Evren said calmly.
With a steady, diagonal slice, Evren severed the lateral runner.
The living root nodule separated smoothly into his palm, cool to the touch and humming with gentle astral vibrations.
Evren reached for a jar of celestial grafting resin from the bench, applying a generous seal over the mother tree’s cut runner. The resin solidified into clear amber, sealing the plant’s mana circuit completely.
Overhead, the star-shaped leaves shimmered with tranquil light, undisturbed by the harvest.
Evren took the velvet case from the bench, gently resting the living root onto the silk lining before snapping the silver latches shut.
DING!
[STAGE 1 LIVING CATALYST SECURED: ASTRAL STAR-JADE ROOT!]
[PURITY LEVEL: 100% UNBLEMISHED (70-YEAR MATURATION)]
[HEROINE #3 STAGE 1 ELIXIR SYNTHESIS: REAGENTS ACQUIRED!]
Evren stood up, holding the case. "We have the catalyst. The courier should be arriving at the sanatorium right about now."
"Then let’s not keep our Star Alchemist waiting," Zephyra smiled.
—
Thirty minutes later, the town car pulled up to the rear entrance of the Imperial Sanatorium. Two Iron-Thistle veterans stood guard outside Room 104, saluting as Evren approached.
"Chairman," the lead sentry said. "The Old Spire courier arrived ten minutes ago. We inspected the seal and placed the lockbox on the side table as ordered."
"Good work," Evren nodded, opening the door.
Propped against her pillows, Calista was watching the door with wide, anxious eyes. On the nightstand sat the sealed steel lockbox from the Old Spire Herbal Exchange.
When Calista saw Evren holding the velvet case, her breath caught in her throat. "Chairman Evren..." she whispered with a trembling voice. "Were you able to enter?"
Evren walked to the bedside, setting down the case.
With a warm smile, he placed the gold-embossed deed and the four-inch brass key gently on the blanket over her chest.
"The Vesper Ancestral Conservatory is officially yours again, Calista," Evren said softly. "The deed is signed, the wards recognize the key, and your family’s seventy-year tree is blooming."
Calista stared down at the constellation crest resting against her blanket.
Tears spilled over her eyelashes, tracing warm paths down her pale cheeks. For two years, she had believed her family’s legacy was gone forever. Now, holding it before her eyes, that hopeless darkness vanished.
"Thank you..." she sobbed softly, unable to lift her arms to wipe her own tears. "Thank you, Evren..."
Amber stepped forward with a gentle smile, drawing a soft silk handkerchief and tenderly wiping the tears from Calista’s cheeks.
"You don’t have to carry the pain alone anymore," Amber whispered, smoothing a stray lock of hair behind Calista’s ear. "We take care of our own."
Zephyra stood at the foot of the bed, her violet eyes warm with understanding.
Evren gently unlatched the velvet case, showing Calista the glowing azure root resting on silk.
Calista’s breath hitched. "A mature lateral rhizome... with starlight sap intact... You harvested it perfectly."
"We have the Moon-frost dew, the lotus petals, and the pure silver marrow," Evren said, opening the steel lockbox.
He summoned the matte-black Ancient Alchemy Crucible onto the bedside table, looking down at Calista. "Two years in that subterranean darkness ends today," Evren said firmly. "Let’s rebuild your spine."
