Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 1389 - 1391: Fennie, Can You Come See Mother?
"What can be done, what cannot be done, I hope you understand."
After spending so many days together, she somewhat understood that Raina Bell harbored resentment in her heart.
Hopefully, this matter has nothing to do with her...
Otherwise, Cheryl Chew would be unable to forgive herself, let alone face Mrs. Shannon.
Raina Bell sneered, "Fit, even you don’t trust your Elder Sister? Others don’t trust your sister, and now even you don’t trust me?"
Cheryl Chew worried she might misunderstand, so she explained, "Elder Sister, it’s not that I don’t trust you, I’m just worried you might..." make a mistake.
The bodyguard had already opened the car door, Cheryl Chew patted her shoulder, "You’ve been tired for one night, go back and rest well. Don’t overthink it."
Inside the ward, Mrs. Shannon patted Thomas Shannon’s hand, "I’m fine, don’t furrow your eyebrow tips."
Thomas Shannon’s thin lips pressed tightly, daring to mess with his mother’s head was unforgivable!
"By the way, weren’t you going to chase Miss Sullivan? How did it go, did she forgive you?"
Thomas Shannon glanced at her wistfully, "Mother, Fennie is now your daughter-in-law, not some Miss Sullivan."
Mrs. Shannon laughed softly, "Alright, my mistake. Why didn’t Fennie come back with you, hasn’t she forgiven you yet?"
"Mother, let’s talk about this later, okay?" Thomas Shannon called over Charlie River, "Breakfast still isn’t ready, what are you doing?!"
Charlie River quickly complied, "Mister, Madam, Young Master, breakfast is on its way, it’ll be here immediately."
As Mrs. Shannon was having breakfast, Thomas Shannon stepped out of the ward and went to the end of the corridor.
He lit a cigarette, having returned suddenly without telling Sophie Sullivan, not knowing if she’s angry.
His mother did remind him of something...
A phone call came to Sophie Sullivan’s phone.
Sophie Sullivan was eating fruit, and the mobile phone placed aside rang. She glanced at it, ignoring it.
Gaby was lying on the carpet, gnawing on an apple. Hearing the phone ring, it suddenly lifted its large head.
Its eyes were fixed in the direction of the phone, then it looked at Sophie Sullivan and howled.
Sophie Sullivan tapped its body with her toe, "Be a well-behaved baby and eat your fruits, don’t be distracted."
The phone continued to ring persistently. Sophie Sullivan, annoyed by the noise, let out a frustrated hum and lazily picked up the phone.
"Fennie..."
"What’s up?" Her eyebrow tips raised slightly, taking a light bite of a strawberry. The sourness instantly filled her oral cavity, and she leaned over and spat it out.
"What happened?" Thomas Shannon, hearing the sound of her spitting, was very worried, "Are you sick?"
"Do you need something?" Sophie Sullivan’s tone was impatient, showing signs of an impending temper.
Thomas Shannon sighed deeply, "I left without saying goodbye, you’re not mad, are you? Mother was hospitalized and the situation was urgent. I didn’t make it in time to explain to you clearly."
Sophie Sullivan’s tightly furrowed eyebrows gradually relaxed, she asked, "Is it serious?"
"Hmm, the situation has basically stabilized." Thomas Shannon’s voice was hoarse, tinged with endless fatigue, "Mother misses you, Fennie, can you come see her?"
"..."
"Consider it me asking you, okay?"
"Why does she want to see me?"
Thomas Shannon awkwardly cleared his throat and took a deep drag on the cigarette, "You’re now my wife, mother’s overly sentimental, she always feels she might not make it... Fennie, can you come see her, please?"
Sophie Sullivan, having lost Daddy and Mommy, knew the value of family ties.
After pondering for a moment, she agreed, "Alright."
