Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 1363 - 1365: I Won’t Be an Assassin, But I Will Not Spare Them Easily
She wished she could strip the tendons from Cecilia’s body and peel off her skin!
Margaret held Isabel, gently stroking her back, "Keep your voice down, Isabel. Have you forgotten who those people are outside?"
The people outside were sent by Cecilia, and any carelessness would lead to another beating.
Isabel gritted her teeth in anger. Suddenly, an audacious idea popped into her brain, and hope gradually glimmered in her eyes. "Daddy, Mommy, I have an idea."
Andres, leaning against the wall, gradually shifted his gaze over, "What idea?"
"Isabel, what’s your idea?" Margaret looked at her excitedly, seemingly already envisioning their escape from this hellish place.
"I have a senior sister; she’s the daughter of the President of Country A." Isabel laughed venomously, her laughter carrying an eerie chill, "I seem to remember her nemesis is Thomas Shannon."
"You want to join forces with her?"
Isabel nodded, "Doesn’t Cecilia claim that Thomas Shannon loves her the most? Since she’s the woman Thomas loves the most, as long as we control her, won’t Thomas have to surrender dutifully?"
Andres pondered for a moment, nodded, "Mad as it sounds, it’s worth a shot."
This might be their last chance and hope.
...
In a blink of an eye, Thomas Shannon and Sophie Sullivan had been in a cold war for one week.
During this week, neither of them contacted the other, and Sophie seemed to prove her words: ’I don’t want to see him again in this lifetime,’ as life fell back on track.
Weekend, cloudy day.
After waking up, Sophie instructed the bodyguard, today, they would go to the cemetery, bringing Andres and his family along.
The autumn wind rose, and the temperature plummeted.
The cemetery was well-maintained, even in autumn, it stretched with green as far as the eye could see.
Sophie, surrounded by bodyguards, walked at the forefront.
Andres, Margaret, and Isabel, a family of three, were escorted by men in black, moving forward.
Their clothes were in tatters, their old wounds unhealed and new ones added, their bodies reeking of the smell of blood and twisted black scabs.
They were in a wretched and terrifying state.
Sophie bowed deeply to two tombstones, "Grandpa, Grandma, Joanne is here to see you."
After placing down the fresh flowers, she picked up a towel, carefully wiping the tombstones, staring blankly at the benevolent old faces on the tombstones.
Suddenly, Isabel cried out, "Grandpa, Grandma, Isabel misses you so much... Cecilia wants to kill us, save us, Grandpa and Grandma!"
Sophie’s gaze turned cold, casting a glance at her, "Shut up."
The two words were not loud, yet carried an imposing air without anger.
Isabel wanted to say more but was silenced by a man in black covering her mouth. Sophie withdrew her gaze and continued to address the tombstones: "Grandpa, Grandma, a lot has happened over the past year..."
She recounted everything one by one, her voice so light it dissipated with the autumn breeze.
Those past events that she never wanted to recall in this lifetime were all poured out at this moment.
"As the heir of the Onassis Family, I have the duty to uphold the family’s honor, so I won’t become an assassin, but neither will I let them off easily."
Sophie stood up, lifted her hand, and the men in black immediately pushed Andres and his family of three to the front of the tombstones.
The three of them were kicked at the back of their knees by the men in black, and their bodies fell straight to their knees.
"Bow to Grandpa and Grandma and confess your mistakes."
Andres sneered at her, his gaze as cold and venomous as a snake.
