Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 1355 - 1357: All Because That Bastard Thomas Shannon Pissed Me Off
The scorching temperature frightened the servant, who pulled back their hand as if electrocuted.
"Miss Cecilia Branford has a fever..." the servant said, turning around and running out immediately.
Soon, the family doctor arrived at the bedroom to hang an antipyretic medicine for Sophie Sullivan.
When Lucifer arrived, Sophie hadn’t woken up yet. He sat by the bedside, looking at the feverish and unconscious Sophie, feeling distressed.
He got up, left the bedroom, and reprimanded the butler and all the servants, "How are you taking care of Cecilia, letting her get such a high fever!"
"Young Master Lucifer, you... please don’t be angry. Miss Cecilia was fine last night, we didn’t expect her to suddenly have a high fever." The butler’s forehead was covered in a fine mist of sweat.
He dared not raise his hand to wipe it, so he let the tiny beads of sweat congeal and drip down.
Lucifer’s charming yet sinister face had an expression as cold as ice, "I see that Cecilia usually indulges you too much. Everyone go downstairs for discipline. This is just a small lesson, next time it won’t be just a simple punishment."
"Yes, Young Master Lucifer." The butler and servants replied in unison.
Sophie slept deeply, and after waking up, she felt weak all over, her throat burning, her eyes dry and uncomfortable, and even her breath was scorching.
Realizing she had a fever, Sophie let out a painful groan.
Lucifer pushed the door open and entered, carrying a tray. Seeing Sophie awake, he hooked his lips into a smile, "Cecilia, you’re awake?"
"Lucifer, why are you here?" Sophie struggled to sit up. Lucifer got to the bedside first, put down the tray, helped her sit up, and placed a pillow behind her waist to make her more comfortable.
"The butler called and said you were sick, so I came. The Chief Chef made porridge, have a little, and take medicine later."
Lucifer picked up the porridge, stirred it with a spoon to cool it, and fed her spoon by spoon.
Even if she wasn’t hungry, Sophie still forced herself to eat some. She didn’t dare take medicine on an empty stomach, fearing a stomachache.
"What happened to make you get a fever? Did you kick the quilt off last night?"
Sophie snorted disdainfully, "Lucifer, I’m not a three-year-old child, I don’t kick the quilt in my sleep."
She paused, then continued, "It was that bastard Thomas Shannon who made me angry."
"If that’s the case, do you want to vent some anger?" Lucifer’s deep blue eyes squinted slightly. He had long been displeased with that fellow Thomas Shannon.
He wanted to beat him for a long time!
"I do!" Sophie snorted, "But, I’ll do it myself."
She wanted to personally knock him down and vent her anger.
After eating a bowl of soft porridge, Sophie leaned against the head of the bed, looking at Lucifer, "Lucifer, I want to go find Liam Donald."
"Cecilia, stop making a fuss, your body hasn’t recovered yet. I won’t allow you to mess around."
On this matter, Lucifer was quite principled.
She could be capricious, but she couldn’t take risks with her health as a joke.
"I’m already fine, the fever has subsided, hasn’t it? If you don’t believe me, feel it." Sophie grabbed Lucifer’s hand and placed it on her forehead, her beautiful eyes flashing as she looked at him.
With a look that made him believe her.
"Your fever has reduced a lot, but your body still needs recuperation." Lucifer pressed his index finger against her brow, tapping it, "Cecilia, don’t joke about your health, you know I’ll get angry."
