"I said there isn’t any, so there isn’t any. Stop asking."

Sophie Sullivan didn’t want to say more, even if Thomas Shannon continued to ask, he wouldn’t get a clear answer from her.

If she didn’t want to speak, then so be it; Thomas Shannon could just send someone to investigate.

It would just take some more time.

......

James Shannon and Mrs. Shannon returned to the Imperial City, and Your Excellency Mr. President sent an invitation letter, inviting them to dinner tonight.

James Shannon and Mrs. Shannon went to the banquet, and inside the spacious restaurant, only Thomas Shannon and Sophie Sullivan were left dining.

Without the parents around, Sophie felt much more at ease.

She rested her chin on her hand, unsure if it was due to her worries or a poor appetite, but she looked lethargic.

She ate with little interest, and seeing her lack of appetite, Thomas Shannon focused on feeding her.

"Do you want some shrimp?"

Sophie nodded, "Yes."

Thomas Shannon put down his chopsticks, used a hot towel to clean his hands, and began peeling shrimp for her.

Once he peeled one, he dipped it in sauce and fed it to her.

"Thomas Shannon, I plan to leave tomorrow."

Sophie’s soft voice sounded, and Thomas Shannon’s action of peeling shrimp halted, only pausing for a few seconds before resuming as usual.

Sophie tilted her head, watching him, "Did you hear what I said?"

"What if I heard it, and what if I didn’t?"

"If you heard, then unlock the ankle chain for me." That was her purpose for this trip.

Thomas Shannon lowered his head, seemingly focused and serious in peeling shrimp, but in reality, his thin lips had pressed into a tight line.

Deep and cold eyes, beneath which a violent storm was brewing, and after a while, that dark storm was suppressed by him.

The peeled shrimp, dipped in sauce, was fed to the edge of Sophie’s lips.

Her red lips parted slightly, just about to eat, but Thomas Shannon turned the shrimp with a slight hand movement and fed it to himself instead.

Sophie glared at him angrily, "Bastard."

"You can leave, but keep me company tonight and have some fun."

"What kind of fun?" Sophie watched him warily, knowing his version of fun was nothing good.

Last night, he had driven her to exhaustion, like a ravenous wolf starving for years, his ferocity scared her.

"There are a few good bottles of wine in the wine cellar; keep me company to drink and chat tonight, hmm?"

Drinking?

Sophie’s heart skipped a beat, aware of her poor alcohol tolerance.

In Country F, whether for socializing or banquets, she always avoided drinking, and when she couldn’t, she would just take a sip as a token gesture.

After all, with Miss Cecilia Branford’s identity, who would dare say no to her?

"What’s wrong, is this request too much?" Thomas Shannon cleaned his hands, stood up slowly, "Since you don’t agree, then forget it. I don’t want to force you. Tomorrow, I’ll have Charlie River take you to the airport, you... take care of yourself."

After speaking, he left the table, turning to walk out.

"Thomas Shannon, come back here for me!"

A slightly spoiled low shout rang out, and the servants had long since gotten used to it.

Who’s the maniac?

She had always acted on her own whims, even ordering the Young Master in public, and he wouldn’t get angry.

On the contrary, the Young Master might even be pleased.

The servant glanced at Thomas Shannon secretly, and sure enough, his own handsome and noble Young Master had a happy curve at the corner of his mouth.

The only person capable of handling the Young Master would likely be Miss Sullivan.

"Hmm?" Thomas Shannon just halted his steps, his voice low and deep, without any emotional fluctuation.

"Sit down."

Sophie remained seated without moving, without even turning her head, and commanded.
