Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 1299 - 1301: Well Then, Let’s Have a Pleasant Collaboration
The guards quickly stepped forward and approached her, lowering their voices, "Miss, the person has been brought to your study room."
Lillian Spencer tossed the horse whip to the guards and turned away from the training ground.
Inside the study room, a tall man was already seated on the sofa, leisurely sipping a cup of tea.
Lillian Spencer pushed the door open and entered, seeing the man sitting on the sofa, she smiled, "You don’t seem to have any reservations."
"Of course, Miss Lillian Spencer has gone to great lengths to help me, haven’t we already formed an alliance?" The brown-haired man, with distinctly chiseled and deep features, had blue eyes that made him look utterly foreign.
Lillian Spencer sat down in front of the desk, "Frank Mitchell, I’m not going to beat around the bush with you, the only reason I’m helping you is for one purpose."
Frank Mitchell put down the tea cup, leaned back on the sofa, and crossed his arms over his chest, chuckling lightly, "To deal with Thomas Shannon, right?"
Lillian Spencer gave him a deep look, and Frank Mitchell laughed again, "Rest assured, my goal is also to deal with Thomas Shannon. In a way, we’re the same kind of people. Otherwise, you wouldn’t go to such lengths to help me, would you?"
He was relentlessly hunted by Thomas Shannon’s people, desperately hiding, and coupled with James Shannon’s ruthless decision to have his legs broken, he was deeply resentful.
He won’t let James Shannon and his son go!
The Shannon Family owes Frank Mitchell, and he wants them to pay with blood!
Lillian Spencer clasped her hands together and placed them on the desk, saying seriously, "I have a plan..."
"Let’s hear it." Frank Mitchell showed great interest.
The two of them continued to talk privately in the study room for over an hour.
Finally, Frank Mitchell stood up, came to the desk, and extended his hand, "Then let’s wish for a pleasant collaboration."
Lillian Spencer looked at the hand extended in front of her, a trace of disdain flickered in her eyes, vanishing in an instant.
She reached out her hand, shook it lightly for a while, and hooked the corner of her lips, "Pleasant collaboration."
......
Returning to Country F, Sophie Sullivan did not return to the Onassis Castle but went back to Lucifer’s manor.
Last time on the phone, although Lucifer assured her he would be fine soon, she was still worried.
Leo saw her step into the main hall, exclaiming excitedly, "Miss Cecilia Branford, you’re back!"
Sophie Sullivan nodded gently, her gaze swept around, not seeing Lucifer, she furrowed her brows and asked, "Where is Lucifer?"
"Your Highness is resting inside the bedroom upstairs."
"I’ll go look at him."
Inside the bedroom, Lucifer had just lain down not long ago, and hadn’t fallen asleep yet when he heard the knocking.
Following that was the familiar voice, "Lucifer, I’m coming in."
The next second, the bedroom door was pushed open as a familiar figure walked in.
Lucifer struggled to sit up, "Dear, you’ve returned."
Under the lamp light, Lucifer’s face appeared frighteningly pale.
Recalling the last time he had the heart surgery and informed her only afterward.
Whenever she thought of it, Sophie Sullivan was left fearful; she sat down at the bedside, her lips pursed, looking displeased.
Lucifer, observing her serious expression, found it strangely amusing. He cradled her face, with his forehead against hers, affectionately asking, "What’s wrong? Who made our Cecilia angry?"
"You, Lucifer."
"Me?" Lucifer raised his eyebrows in surprise, never imagining he’d dig a pit for himself to jump into.
