Chapter 2262: Chapter 1132: Farewell, Black Sheep (Part 2)

It’s just....

Thinking about how I just acted in front of Alice, Dorothy couldn’t help but scratch her cheek, feeling a bit awkward.

Damn, that little girl was definitely laughing at me secretly just now. But I’ll admit, her restraint has improved, not laughing out loud. But why hasn’t she left yet after the meeting? Is she here just to laugh at me?

At that moment, the homebody witch’s eyes slightly narrowed.

If that silly sister dares laugh now, she’ll definitely understand what it means to face the authority of the elder sister.

At the door, the little witch inexplicably sensed a chill, shivered slightly, but her thick nerves didn’t take it seriously, thinking that the Underworld Faction’s territory lived up to its name, cold like the world after death, with a perpetual eerie chill.

Probably because the Torture Department next door spreads its gloomy atmosphere over here.

Thinking of the Torture Department made Alice’s expression slightly somber.

She wasn’t staying specifically to mock her sister since she’d already laughed secretly during her sister’s performance, even using her witch’s Blink Photography Technique to record it, waiting to counterattack next time her sister tries to trick her.

She stayed for another reason.

"Sister, can you take me to the Torture Department to see Grandmother and the two aunts? It’s been so long, and they haven’t come out yet. Mom and I are a bit worried."

The little witch said timidly.

She knew her request was using her sister’s authority to take a shortcut, something her mother warned her against, yet she couldn’t help but worry.

Even though Alice wasn’t close to most Dracula Family members, Grandmother and the two aunts were always kind to her. She couldn’t help caring for these three elders since it’s been so long without them being released.

Despite Alice’s usual carefree demeanor, people like her often value emotions more. Initially, the little witch wanted to follow her mother’s advice to wait a bit longer. However, today, being at the Judgment Court and close to the Torture Department, she couldn’t resist.

But after saying it, she regretted as she knew abusing authority was wrong despite her simple mind.

"Um, sister, maybe I should just let it go. I’ll head back now."

The little witch felt she had chosen the wrong time, lowered her head, and planned to flee. But she ran into a Magic Barrier set up by Zero, which had sealed the entire territory, causing a visible bump to rise on her head.

Dorothy: "...."

Watching Alice’s silly and cute expression, the homebody witch found it amusing and exasperating.

She stepped forward to help her fallen sister up, while gently wiping the little witch’s tears and placing a healing hand on her swollen head.

Exasperated, she thought about how Alice remained as clumsy as ever, considering the vampire and werewolf’s physical resilience could still result in such a large bump, wondering how hard she must have run.

"I never said you couldn’t go. Impulsive as always, let’s go; I’ll take you to have a look. It’s not a big deal; your sister’s a big deal now, this kind of authority is still within my grasp."

She reassured the crying little witch with a smile.

However, the Thirteen Vampire Clan Families indeed have been with the Judgment Court for quite some time, and Dorothy was curious about their judgment progress.

As for Ancestor Dracula and the two aunties Camilla and Elizabeth’s situation, she wasn’t too worried. The Dracula Family’s problems aren’t that big, plus the conditions were set when her stepmother became Lord Demon King’s informer to ensure the family’s continuation.

Artie’s scheming nature as the Devil King included integrity in contracts, one of her few virtues, earning her the nickname God of Contract.

Being trustworthy doesn’t imply she won’t get you after the promise. If she wants someone gone, countless ways exist to devise a post-agreement lethal trap without breaking the oath.

But knowing Artie, the Thirteen Vampire Clan Families aren’t worth her concern. High and mighty as she is, ordinary folks don’t catch her eye, lacking the value to exploit.

Overall, Dorothy thought checking it out made sense; twelve families might suffer, but the Dracula Family truly should be released.

The homebody witch decided, taking Alice’s hand, walking towards the neighboring Torture Department.

"Sister, I knew you’re the best."

In turn, Alice almost jumped on Dorothy for a hug, feeling thrilled.

But the homebody witch playfully lifted and removed the little witch from her as Alice’s hands tended to wander.

"And, remember to use job titles at work, Little Bun."

She reprimanded.

Regardless, the clown identity she resumed didn’t matter much.

"Okay, Clown Sister."

"Hmm, we’re both still juniors, aren’t we? Definitely siblings."

.....

The sisters casually chatted as they walked into the Torture Department.

Aside from Dorothy’s last visit, this spooky place remained unchanged. Immediately upon entering, the horrific screams echoed eerily, enough to chill one’s spine.

Dorothy was unfazed as she’d been before, but Alice was experiencing it for the first time.

Though the little witch usually bravely called out fighting cheerfully, reckless like her life meant nothing during battles, courage in combat and everyday courage differed vastly.

The little one was only thirteen, and the Torture Department’s reputation had scared countless children since, making Alice timidly hide behind Dorothy, clinging worriedly to her clothes, feeling nervous and scared.

Watching, the homebody witch found her boisterous sister showing this rare soft, adorable side amusing.

"Don’t worry, I’m with you."

She assured the little witch, patting her head gently.

"Mm."

Alice obediently nodded, relaxing more.

The two reached the Torture Department’s hall, with Dorothy ready to use the Judgment Order to connect with Miss Wendigo if present, as her only acquaintance there. But before she could....

"Ma’am, it’s been ages since we met."

A familiar voice called from behind.

Surprised, Dorothy turned to see a kind figure, the person’s face veiled by a black sheep mask.

The Great Judge, Lord Pan.

A black sheep sage, Koreya.

"Uh, Lord Pan, you..."

Startled, Dorothy rushed to bow in greeting.

She respected this benevolent elder who gifted her a precious resurrection item, despite not needing it anymore, always remembering their goodwill.

Once more encountering this ancient First Generation Sage made Dorothy’s feelings complex, having witnessed their youth during Witch’s Night, with them serving long as her assistant. She watched their growth in dreams.

In reality, you’re my elder; in dreams, I’m yours; hence mutual elders.

Overall, this reunion felt odd.

Despite knowing Witch’s Night isn’t merely dreaming, with Good Sister doing something turning dreams real, the homebody witch dared not fully take dreams as reality.

Meeting the black sheep sage now felt sensible to treat her as an elder sage.

Just go with it, don’t overthink. Besides....

But Dorothy couldn’t bow; a gentle yet powerful force prevented her.

"Lady, belated as it may be, I want to say: welcome back."

Koreya softly removed her mask, revealing a youthful face unchanged over hundreds of thousands of years, identical to the dream.

The girl tearfully yet cheerfully spoke.

Yes, since parting last time, it’s another cycle, hundreds of thousands of years passing.

...In a long-awaited reunion....
