Chapter 2250: Chapter 1128: Gazing into the Abyss

In the Demon Realm, Venus City, Lord’s Mansion, a lavish tea party amidst the rain is in progress.

Two noble ladies, each approximately three or four meters tall, with mature and voluptuous figures, are enjoying some snacks while engaging in casual conversation.

"Lady Hachishaku, it’s such a rare occasion for us to meet offline, why not stay at my place for a few more days? Once you leave, I won’t have anyone to talk to."

The lady on the left, with charming and attractive looks, said somewhat reluctantly.

"Evelyn, I truly appreciate your hospitality during this time, but there’s an important matter back on Japan that I must attend to. I really can’t stay out any longer. Please forgive me, and I promise to visit again after my tasks are done."

The elegant beauty on the right, wearing a white dress and adorned with a wide-brimmed sun hat, responded with a smile.

"Oh, matters concerning Japan? Could it be that the young lady is up to something new again? Speaking of which, the House of Aphrodite has been quite mysterious lately, seemingly preparing for something. Do you have any insider information, sister?"

Lady of the Castle inquired with great curiosity.

Despite being over a thousand years old and already a mother, Evelyn looked like a teenager, with curiosity sparkling in her green eyes. Even the hardest of hearts would unconsciously soften under her gaze.

Indeed, as expected of the Charm Witch, her Art of Charm has become natural and fully integrated into her everyday behaviors. A slight lapse in attention could ensnare anyone.

Unfortunately, the lady sitting opposite her is no ordinary person.

Yae Miko glanced at her "curious" old friend in front of her, whom she has known for over a century. How could she not see through this old woman’s schemes to pry information out of her?

"Ah, unknowingly, that child Dorothy has become quite a significant figure. Her every action and word are now subject to much scrutiny and analysis."

Lady Hachishaku thought about her young niece and current sovereign with a sense of nostalgia.

Outwardly, she gave a "sincere" expression of slight apology.

"Dear sister, I honestly don’t know. Isn’t the young lady simply celebrating her birthday at the Dragon King Palace these days? There’s surely no substantial actions going on."

"Oh, is that so?"

"Yes, truly."

.....

At the tea party, the two ladies were engaging in lively conversation on the surface, though each had more than eight hundred thoughts in their minds.

Watching the exchange, the accompanying young witch became somewhat impatient.

"Mother Superior, Aunt Hachishaku, when are you planning to take me to report to the Judgment Court? I’m quite curious about it."

Cassandra inquired.

She recently learned that her Mother Superior and the mysterious Aunt Hachishaku are both Judges in the Court, colleagues with the young lady who is the Clown Grand Inquisitor.

Moreover, her Mother Superior seemed to intend for her to join the Court too, which excited the young Werewolf Witch.

After all, it’s the Judgment Court.

Despite its fearsome reputation, which is powerful enough to silence crying children at night, the rebellious nature of the youth lends them a filter through which these mysterious, dark organizations seem cool.

Cassandra felt the same way, thinking about how she could wear a flashy mask, don the fashionable black Battle Robe of the Judge, and appear before people, a prospect that thrilled her.

As a fashion model, she couldn’t resist the allure of such uniform temptation, knowing that her past shoots themed around cool attire couldn’t match the real Judge uniform.

Unfortunately, her Mother Superior and Aunt Hachishaku had spent these past days mind-gaming each other without genuinely taking steps to induct her, causing Cassandra much anxiety.

Indeed, she is a hybrid of a Werewolf Witch and a Charm Witch, clearly inheriting more of her Werewolf biological mother’s straightforwardness and boldness than the slyness of her parents before her. Thus, she became fed up with the plastic sisterhood displayed before her.

"Can’t you two stop probing each other? What’s wrong with direct conversation? You’re dawdling nonstop, take me into the business already."

Upon hearing the young person’s inquiry, both Lady of the Castle and Lady Hachishaku displayed strange expressions.

The recruitment mechanism of the Judgment Court primarily relies on succession, and neither Evelyn nor Yae Miko has successors. Either of them could recommend Cassandra to become a Judge.

But...

For the child’s well-being, a different recommender might be better, as their reputations aren’t stellar. Had Cassandra been inducted under their succession, her future would indeed be bleak.

Grand Inquisitors Lust Ruin and Crafty Abnormality exchanged a glance, harboring these thoughts.

As they contemplated how to explain the difficulties to the child, their expressions suddenly stiffened, simultaneously reaching into their pockets.

Not good, the Judgment Order has activated; is this a summons?

Both discreetly checked the messages received by the Judgment Order, their expressions turning serious.

The sender was Black Impermanence, the Great Judge.

"Cassandra, your opportunity has come. Now, quickly find your Fourth Aunt and let her lead you for induction."

While standing up, Evelyn said to her daughter.

Subsequently, both she and Yae Miko released their Magic Power, swiftly shedding their leisurely everyday attire and transforming into the cold and stylish uniforms of the Grand Inquisitor.
