Only I am Venerable

Chapter 508 504: She She's Interrogation Methods

To avoid any unforeseen trouble, the group quickened their pace. By the third day, they had arrived at the outer mountain range of the Mysterious Land where the Iron-blooded Hall was located.

If Qin Li hadn't used a memory extraction method to learn the way in, it would have been truly difficult to find this Mysterious Land. The location of the Iron-blooded Hall wasn't even on the Ancient Map in his possession!

The entrance to the Mysterious Land where the Iron-blooded Hall resided was behind a massive waterfall!

They could hear the roaring water from miles away. A turbulent river rushed past them, its water so clear they could even see fish swimming inside.

The trees on both banks were lush and green, interspersed with weeds and wildflowers. The air was fresh and filled with abundant Spiritual Qi. The place showed no signs of human activity; a careful search of the riverbanks revealed no footprints or tracks.

If Qin Li hadn't obtained the information about the Iron-blooded Hall's entrance from the mind of that Shattered Void realm Martial Artist, it would have been hard to believe how well their enemies had concealed their tracks.

In reality, the members of the Iron-blooded Hall had always traveled by water whenever they left their base!

This was the fundamental reason why the riverbanks were overgrown with thorns and weeds, completely devoid of any human traces!

One had to admit, the people of the Iron-blooded Hall were remarkably cautious. If Qin Li hadn't used his unique method, finding the true entrance would have been next to impossible.

Whenever someone from the Iron-blooded Hall came out, they would take a wooden boat downstream for hundreds of miles before abandoning it and going ashore. They used the same method to return. Although this meant traveling upstream, it was no problem for powerful Martial Artists. Releasing just a tiny bit of Primordial Power was enough to propel the boat upstream at high speed.

But Qin Li and his group didn't use a boat. Instead, they flew through the air along the riverbank!

Whenever someone grew exhausted, they would find a spot to land and rest before taking to the air again. This was another form of training Qin Li had devised for them.

Even a supreme expert like Bai Zhongshan found himself exhausted after flying for some time with this technique. By their third rest stop, the old monkey finally couldn't hold back his complaints.

"I say, Young Master, why don't we just build a few small rafts? We can travel upstream, leave no trace, and save our strength! If we keep this up, we'll be exhausted by the time we reach the Iron-blooded Hall. How are we supposed to fight them then?!"

Qin Li glanced at the resentful Bai Zhongshan and said coolly, "What does it matter to us if we leave a trace? Besides, haven't you noticed that you can fly farther after each rest?"

Bai Zhongshan scratched his head, looking puzzled. "Have I?"

She She snorted from the side. "Playing dumb!"

Bai Zhongshan pouted and said, "But what's the use? So what if we can endure longer? It seems useless in a fight, unless you're trying to run away."

She She couldn't help but retort sarcastically, "How is it useless? If you can't win a fight, you survive by running faster and farther than the other guy. Plus, if your Light Body Technique is powerful enough, you can use it to quickly overpower an opponent in battle. Don't tell me you don't even know that."

Bai Zhongshan snorted coldly and ignored She She. Inwardly, however, he had to admit she was right. He just felt that training this skill right now was putting the cart before the horse.

As if reading Bai Zhongshan's mind, Qin Li said, "Although we all have long lifespans and can take our time cultivating, if you take every step a little earlier and a little bigger than others, then after decades or even a century, you will see just how vast the gap has become. Cultivation should happen anytime, anywhere, not just by finding a special place for what you call 'secluded cultivation.' Seclusion is necessary, but there's no need to be in a constant state of it!"

Qin Li's words sent Bai Zhongshan, as well as the other elite disciples of the Qin Family, into deep thought.

After their rest, the group set off again. This time, no one inwardly complained that Qin Li was making things unnecessarily difficult by not using rafts to go upstream.

Soon, they arrived before the great waterfall. With a drop of several hundred meters, it truly looked like a torrent plunging down from the heavens.

The tremendous roar of the water drowned out all other sounds. The magnificent scene invigorated the somewhat weary Qin Family disciples.

The waterfall crashed into the pool below, sending up spray dozens of meters high. Sunlight passed through the mist, creating a hazy, rainbow-colored vapor of indescribable beauty.

"The Iron-blooded Hall sure knows how to pick a spot!" Qin Suo remarked with feeling as he came to Qin Li's side. He had to admit, the wonders of Creation were magnificent, and the world held countless beautiful sights.

Qin Li nodded, then suddenly flickered and vanished. The next moment, the faint sounds of a scuffle came from behind the waterfall. Everyone was startled; no one had expected someone to be hiding there.

Then, Qin Li emerged, passing through the waterfall while carrying a person. He returned to the group and tossed the man to the ground.

He was a scrawny man in his thirties with sharp, monkey-like features. Even though he had been subdued and thrown to the ground, he was still restless, his shifty eyes darting towards the thighs of Shangguan Shiyu, Leng Yao, and She She.

She She didn't stand for it. She walked over and stomped hard on the man's leg. SNAP! The man's leg bone shattered. He let out a blood-curdling scream, but amidst the roar of the waterfall, it was barely audible even ten meters away.

"Enjoyed the view?" She She asked, staring coldly at the man. 'Who do you think you are, the Young Master? Think you can just stare all you want? …Ah, no, not even the Young Master gets to stare! I'm not that kind of girl!'

The man screamed loudly, "Murder! Murder! Who are you people? Why did you capture me? Why did you break my leg? What did I do wrong?"

Qin Li couldn't even be bothered to glance at the man's shouting. Instead, he frowned slightly, sending his Divine Sense through the entrance of the Mysterious Land to probe the situation inside.

She She, on the other hand, crouched down in her short skirt, exposing her fair, shapely thighs. She looked at the screaming man with a half-smile and said softly, "Be a good boy, and I won't bully you. Now, tell Big Sister, are you a member of the Iron-blooded Hall?"

"Yes—ah, no! I don't know anything about an Iron-blooded Hall!" Dazed by She She's sudden seductive allure, the man had blurted out an admission before he caught himself and frantically denied it.

CRACK!

She She extended a slender, jade-like finger and broke one of the man's. He let out another blood-curdling scream.

Leng Yao and Shangguan Shiyu glanced at She She and both shuffled away, not wanting to stand too close to the violent maniac lest they develop some psychological trauma.

Bai Zhongshan pouted, feigning disdain for She She's actions, but inwardly he found it quite satisfying. Almost all Spirit Beasts were the same; they lived by the principle of repaying kindness with kindness and vengeance with vengeance.

It was just like the Little Fox, whom Qin Li had saved long ago, who in turn helped him without any regard for herself. When it came to their enemies, they would never show mercy. Mercy toward an enemy was cruelty to oneself! A Spirit Beast would never repay injury with kindness; repaying injury with justice was their code!

Bai Zhonghuo, meanwhile, stood there calmly, gazing at Qin Li with admiration. He knew what the Young Master was doing. 'Even though I'm at the same realm and level as the Young Master,' he thought, 'even Big Brother privately admits that he's far stronger. If I fought him, just lasting thirty moves would be a win!'

'Just how did the Young Master reach his current level?' Bai Zhonghuo wondered. He secretly swore to himself that he would follow the Young Master closely and strive to reach heights he had never even dared to dream of before.

"My lady, please, just ask what you want to know! I-I'll talk! I'll tell you everything, I promise!" the scrawny young man begged, his voice choked with sobs. The reason was simple: in just that short time, She She had already crippled one of his legs and three of his fingers.

Moreover, not only had this abominable woman not asked him a single question, but her enthusiastic gaze was now fixed on his fourth finger…

"Hee hee, what if I ask and you lie to me again? How would I know if you're telling the truth?" She She giggled, thoroughly enjoying the art of torture.

"If… if I lie, you can cut me into a thousand pieces! No… torture me however you want! I would never dare lie to you again!" Seeing the malicious glint in her eyes, the young man wanted to die. He was just a scout for the Iron-blooded Hall. His strength was actually considered decent, as he had just broken through to the Shattered Void realm. He'd been brimming with confidence, thinking the world was his for the taking, yet on his very first day of patrol, he'd run into this.

'I regret this so much I could die,' he thought. 'Just how unlucky does someone have to be to have my kind of rotten luck?'

"Then let me ask you, this is the Iron-blooded Hall's headquarters, right?" She She asked casually, but her eyes kept roaming over the young man's hands, sending a chill down his spine.

"Yes, it's the headquarters!"

"So, how many Martial Artists are inside right now? How many have reached Pill Nascent Soul Transformation? How many are at the Shattered Void realm? And how many are Venerables?" She She asked, her pace unhurried.

At that moment, Qin Li retracted his Divine Sense and watched She She's interrogation with great interest. 'It'd be a real shame if this girl doesn't go into intelligence work,' he thought. 'A Spirit Beast naturally gifted at deception!'

"I…"

The young man was about to say, "I don't know," when an excruciating pain shot through his fourth finger. With a final scream of agony, the man, already weak from the torture, promptly passed out.
