Chapter 208: Chapter 113: Meeting the Outer Celestial Demon Again

Zhou Daniu had seen her in the garden a few times, and every time he couldn’t help but stare a little longer.

The Lu Family Residence was vast, and security was naturally tight at night. Several three-man patrol teams, all armed with foreign-made guns, made their rounds every hour.

But Zhou Daniu had been working here for half a year, so he knew the patrol guards’ schedules by heart.

In the darkness, Zhou Daniu’s figure moved through the shadows like a phantom.

He slipped past patrol after patrol and bypassed one hidden sentry after another, finally vaulting into a courtyard.

The courtyard wasn’t large. It was surrounded by low, single-story buildings with a small open space in the middle.

Zhou Daniu crouched in a corner, his ears pricked. All was quiet except for the sound of his own heartbeat in the darkness.

’I don’t even know what’s wrong with me. Why am I taking such a huge risk just for a woman?’

’I could have taken my time. I could have waited until after I finished eating that piece of suspected Tai Sui Flesh. I could have waited until I became a Grandmaster of Huajin.’

’Then I could have left the Lu Family openly and taken everything I ever wanted.’

But he just couldn’t control himself. Not since consuming that piece of black meat that resembled Tai Sui Flesh.

The desires deep within Zhou Daniu’s heart were being dragged out, bit by bit, as if by a giant, invisible hand.

To put it plainly, he couldn’t control his deepest urges anymore. He just couldn’t help but follow his heart’s desires.

’Whatever I want, I’ll take. Whatever I want to do, I’ll do.’

Once these thoughts appeared in his mind, Zhou Daniu could no longer suppress them.

There were four rooms in the courtyard. Meng Meihua, the manager of the West Courtyard’s female servants, lived alone in the main, central room.

A small lantern hung by the door, swaying gently in the night wind, casting a dim, blurry circle of light on the doorframe.

Zhou Daniu stared at the door, then walked toward it, one step at a time.

When he reached the door, he reached out and gave it a gentle push.

The door was locked. But it didn’t matter. Zhou Daniu stood outside, staring at the closed door, a wider smile spreading across his face.

’Before I broke through to the Anjin Realm, I probably wouldn’t have had a good way to deal with this door.’

’Picking the lock would make noise, and breaking it down would alert the others. Getting in quietly would have been next to impossible.’

But things were different now. Zhou Daniu was now a Dark Force expert.

The next moment, he raised his right hand and gently pressed it against the wooden door. The instant his palm made contact with the wood grain, Dark Force surged within him.

A sinister and domineering power seeped from his palm into the door.

A faint, almost inaudible SNAP was heard as the wooden bolt inside split cleanly in two.

Zhou Daniu withdrew his hand, glanced at his palm with satisfaction, and gently pushed the door open.

He slipped inside and pulled the door partially closed behind him.

The room was dark. Zhou Daniu quickly pulled a flint-and-tinder tube from his clothes and gently blew it alight.

He lit the oil lamp on the table.

As the light flared, the room’s outlines became clear: a carved vanity, draped bed-curtains, a landscape painting on the wall, and, in front of him, a soft couch.

A figure lay quietly on the couch. It was Meng Meihua, lying on her side on the floral-patterned couch, facing Zhou Daniu.

She wore a loose, moon-white nightgown, its collar slightly open, revealing the tantalizing, jade-like curve of her skin.

Her long hair was loosely tied back, with a few stray strands falling beside her cheeks. Her figure was full but not plump, every curve perfectly proportioned—a charm unique to a mature woman.

Meng Meihua’s brows were gently arched and her lips were full. Even in sleep, her face held a deep, languid charm.

As Zhou Daniu drew closer, his gaze slid down from her face, past her neck, past the open collar, and over that partially hidden curve.

He didn’t miss a single inch of the beautiful scenery, his eyes devouring the woman before him.

A moment later, Zhou Daniu reached out and placed his large hand on Meng Meihua’s fair neck.

Meng Meihua’s red lips twitched, and her eyelashes fluttered as if she were about to open her eyes.

At that moment, Zhou Daniu’s eyes narrowed. Dark Force erupted from his body and flowed through his palm into her fair neck.

The Dark Force struck a precise pressure point, jolting her nascent consciousness back into darkness just before she could fully awaken.

With his worries gone, Zhou Daniu pulled back his hand and looked down at the helpless beauty on the couch.

The unique, sweet fragrance of a mature woman wafted into his nostrils, tickling his nerves like a thousand tiny hands.

Zhou Daniu’s gaze grew heated, and he couldn’t help but gulp.

The next second, Zhou Daniu reached out and violently tore at her loose, moon-white nightgown, ripping it open from the collar to her waist.

An incredibly alluring, bright red dudou came into view, stretched taut over her soft, pale, and magnificent chest.

Red silk thread embroidered a pair of cuddling mandarin ducks, and beneath them was a vast expanse of white.

A whiteness so dazzling, so soft, it was impossible to look away.

An even richer fragrance washed over him. Zhou Daniu’s eyes were bloodshot as he stared at the scene before him. He was about to go insane.

Even if someone slapped him across the face right now, he absolutely would not leave.

Just then, Zhou Daniu’s body suddenly froze, his hand still suspended in mid-air.

Zhou Daniu’s pupils contracted violently as he stared intently at the spot beside Meng Meihua.

Someone was lying there quietly—no, not a person. It was a pitch-black shadow, lying motionless at Meng Meihua’s side.

It had no features, no outline—only two solid black eyes without any whites, staring right at him.

"A ghost!" Zhou Daniu let out a low, terrified scream.

He scrambled backward, propping himself up with his hands and kicking his legs wildly, retreating frantically like a frightened dog.

When Zhou Daniu’s back slammed hard against the wall with nowhere left to retreat, he trembled all over, his eyes fixed on the couch.

The pitch-black shadow moved. It slowly sat up from beside Meng Meihua and began to walk toward Zhou Daniu.

"Stay back! Stay back!"

Zhou Daniu screamed wildly, his hands flailing at the air—fist after fist, palm after palm—striking so hard that the air crackled with sonic booms.

Unfortunately, his fists passed right through the black shadow every time, as if he were punching thin air, connecting with nothing.

The shadow seeped into him, bit by bit. Finally, Zhou Daniu’s body froze.

His hands were still locked in a punching motion, unable to move even a single finger.

Zhou Daniu felt something enter his mind. It was that pitch-black shadow from before—no features, no outline, just two dark eyes.

It appeared in the depths of his consciousness, rampaging like a wild beast.

Zhou Daniu felt as if his head were being split open by an axe, or as if countless hands were reaching inside to stir his brain.

’Pain. So much pain!’

It hurt so much he wanted to die, so much that he wanted to smash his own head open just to get the thing out.

But unfortunately, Zhou Daniu couldn’t move at all. He could only let the black shadow clash violently with his consciousness.

Before long, the whites of Zhou Daniu’s eyes showed, drool trickled from the corners of his mouth, and his body began to convulse violently.

In the final moment before his consciousness faded completely, Zhou Daniu had one last thought.

’Why?! Why couldn’t I die after I got a taste of that gorgeous woman?!’

’Even just once, even for a single moment, it would have been worth it.’

A moment later, Zhou Daniu slowly rose to his feet in the corner, his movements as stiff as a baby just learning to walk.

When he lifted his head, his eyes had no whites—only two bottomless pits of darkness.

Drool still trickled from the corners of Zhou Daniu’s mouth as his pitch-black eyes stared intently at the woman on the bed.

"Finally... I’ve arrived in this world. So hungry... I’m so hungry!"

"I will eat her!"

Unlike before, this time it wanted to literally *eat* Meng Meihua.

The ghostly thing that had possessed Zhou Daniu’s body began to guide it, lunging toward the sleeping Meng Meihua.

Its arms were spread wide, its mouth agape, as it pounced with vicious speed. Its stark white teeth glinted coldly in the dim, yellow light.

Its target was Meng Meihua’s fair neck.

Closer, and closer. Just as Zhou Daniu’s teeth were about to touch her skin...

A hand appeared above his neck and swiftly clamped down with five fingers.

The five fingers locked onto Zhou Daniu’s neck like an iron vise, bringing his lunge toward Meng Meihua to an abrupt halt and leaving him frozen in mid-air.

Zhou Daniu’s pitch-black eyes struggled to look to the side.

It was a man in a black Zhongshan suit. He was leaning on a cane with his right hand, while his left hand was extended, its five fingers gripping Zhou Daniu’s neck.

’This was the man who had caught it.’

At the same time, Lu Yun stared with some surprise at the inhuman thing Zhou Daniu had become.

’No, this wasn’t Zhou Daniu anymore.’

"An Outer Celestial Demon. You ate the Immortal Flesh?"

He never would have expected this strange servant to have actually eaten the Immortal Flesh.

And from the looks of it, a so-called Outer Celestial Demon had successfully possessed him.

At this thought, Lu Yun’s brow furrowed slightly. In truth, he had been following Zhou Daniu the whole time.

Just moments ago, he had been standing outside, secretly observing everything in the room through the small crack of the partially closed door.

Lu Yun had originally planned to wait for the moment Zhou Daniu made his move before stepping in to deal with him.

But just as he was about to enter, Zhou Daniu suddenly went mad, retreating frantically as if he’d seen a ghost, even shouting "Ghost!"

This bizarre behavior instantly made Lu Yun reconsider revealing himself.

He immediately pushed his Divine Sense to its peak, sweeping it across the entire room.

The result? Nothing. There was nothing out of the ordinary, no trace of any sinister energy.

There was only Zhou Daniu, cowering in terror in the corner, wildly attacking the empty air.

Then he had collapsed, and then he had turned into... this.

Lu Yun stared at the possessed Zhou Daniu before him, his wariness of the Outer Celestial Demons deepening.

’I am a dignified Grandmaster of Divine Intent, and my Divine Sense covers a five-hundred-meter radius, yet I couldn’t even detect the presence of these ghostly things?’

’How did they manage that?’
