Chapter 204: Chapter 110: I Learned the Iron Bone Technique Before I Could Walk

Upon hearing this, Zhou Lie waved his hands, flattered. "Please, don’t mention it! It’s my honor to be of service to you, Elder!"

Lu Yun didn’t continue with the pleasantries, instead sizing up the man before him with great interest.

Under the shroud of his Divine Sense, Zhou Lie’s condition was laid completely bare.

The Qi in his body was abundant and flowed freely. His foundation was as solid as if it had been cast from molten iron. He was, without a doubt, a Late-stage Grandmaster of Huajin, and had even touched the threshold of the peak.

Coupled with his explosive musculature, he was even a Horizontal Training master.

Lu Yun mused to himself, ’A truly rare master indeed.’

Unfortunately, Zhou Lie couldn’t hear Lu Yun’s thoughts. If he knew this Grandmaster of Divine Intent was inwardly praising him, he would have likely jumped for joy on the spot.

The two exchanged a few more pleasantries. After a moment of small talk, Lu Yun decided to get straight to the point.

"Master Zhou, since you helped me capture those two traitors, if there’s anything I can help you with, please don’t hesitate to ask."

Zhou Lie’s face lit up. He immediately stood, a wide grin spreading across his face. "Elder Lu, to be perfectly honest, I have always wanted to witness the Realm of a Grandmaster of Divine Intent for myself."

"I humbly request your guidance, Elder Lu!"

A flash of surprise crossed Lu Yun’s eyes. He hadn’t expected Zhou Lie’s wish to be so simple.

"Oh?"

Outside the villa, the sun shone brightly on a flat patch of ground. Lu Yun and Zhou Lie stood facing each other in the center of the open space, with Lu Jingjun looking on from the side.

Lu Yun leaned on his Wisteria Spirit Staff, his expression as placid as still water. Zhou Lie stood about thirty feet away, his muscles bulging to the point where he resembled a towering iron pagoda.

He cupped his fists and said with a hint of pride, "Elder Lu, I learned the Iron Bone Technique before I even learned how to walk."

"By now, I’m practically impervious to blades and spears!"

"Please give me your earnest guidance, Elder Lu. Don’t hold back on my account."

Zhou Lie had been waiting for this day for over a decade. He had been stuck at a bottleneck ever since he reached the realm of Late-stage Grandmaster of Huajin.

The next threshold was so close, yet he could never seem to cross it. Zhou Lie had tried bitter training, deep meditation, and traveling to challenge other masters, but none of it was enough.

His opponents were either too weak, collapsing after just a few moves, or they were on his level, which produced no results.

What Zhou Lie needed was a truly gratifying battle—one that would force him to go all out, and perhaps even push him beyond his limits.

’This time, I can finally have a real fight! And a spar personally guided by a Grandmaster of Divine Intent, no less!’

’How many people in the entire world ever get an opportunity like this?’

Seeing Zhou Lie’s eager expression, a peculiar glint appeared in Lu Yun’s eyes.

’Ah, I get it now,’ he thought. ’To put it simply, the man is just itching for a beating.’

The corner of Lu Yun’s mouth curled into a slight smile. ’Perfect,’ he thought. ’It’s been a while since I’ve had a proper workout myself.’

’This Zhou Lie is a Late-stage Huajin master of Horizontal Training. His body is powerful, tough, and resilient—not the least bit inferior to an ordinary martial artist at the Peak of Huajin Grandmaster. Heh, he’ll make a decent punching bag.’

And so, Lu Yun leaned on his staff and spoke slowly, "Master Zhou, as it happens, I’ve also practiced a bit of Horizontal Martial Arts Training. I believe I can satisfy your request."

Zhou Lie froze for a moment, and then his eyes lit up as if someone had just switched on two bright lamps.

’Elder Lu has practiced Horizontal Training, too?’

’Doesn’t that mean we’ll be clashing head-on? A real slugfest, fist to flesh?’

At this thought, Zhou Lie’s breathing grew heavier. "Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!"

"Then I eagerly await your instruction, Elder Lu!"

Lu Yun gave a slight nod, then handed his Wisteria Spirit Staff to Lu Jingjun at his side.

In the center of the clearing, Lu Yun flexed his wrists and said nonchalantly, "Come then, Master Zhou."

At this, Zhou Lie clenched his fists, and the muscles all over his body instantly swelled to their absolute limit.

Veins bulged on his already explosive musculature, and his entire frame seemed to swell by a full size.

He grinned, baring a mouthful of white teeth. "Then I won’t be holding back!"

The words had barely left his mouth when Zhou Lie moved!
