Chapter 226: 226: Smell Danger.

NETHERWILD TRIBE

The search was still on. Ally and the beast warriors walked through the woods in search of little Neris, who had run off.

They had searched for some time without any success, and at that moment, Klat suggested that they go back and inform everyone about it.

But just then when they were about giving up, they had finally found Neris.

Neris was sitting down close to a tree, playing with the butterfly he had caught. He clipped its wings while treating it as his game catch, happily playing with it when they finally found him.

Ally let out a relieved smile as she stared at him. "Finally... we found him," she said as she happily walked up to him.

Klat and the other beast warriors also smiled as they approached them.

"It’s good that we found him, and he’s safe." Klat shook his head with his arms folded as he watched Ally help Neris up to his feet.

"You... Where did you even go? Did you know that we were searching for you everywhere? You made us so worried!"

Neris stood there staring at her before showing her the butterfly. "Butterfly... I caught it," he said with a smile.

Ally sighed and shook her head. "Sister isn’t happy with you at all. You shouldn’t run off like that. You made big sister so worried about you..."

Neris blinked as he stared down at his butterfly with a pout.

"Next time, always let me know where you’re going so you don’t make everyone worried. Okay?" she instructed him firmly.

Neris stared up at her before nodding firmly with a pout. "Okay, I will..." He stared at his butterfly. "Sorry, Ally..."

Ally smiled as she gently patted his silver hair. "That’s okay. Sister forgives you again. Always remember to let me know, okay? Else sister won’t be happy."

Neris nodded firmly while smiling at her. "Okay. I will."

Ally pulled him closer. "Okay then. That’s good. Now let’s get going. We should head back immediately before Mum and Dad find out that we’re gone."

Ally was about to turn with Neris so they could leave with the beast warriors when suddenly, Neris turned again.

Another butterfly was flying into the distance.

It immediately caught the little one’s attention.

"Sister, butterfly again!" he happily announced while watching it fly around and into the distance.

Ally shook her head. "No. Let’s leave the butterfly for now, okay? We’ll find it later. Okay?" she said firmly.

But Neris was insistent. "Let’s go for this one. I promise I’ll behave after this..."

Ally sighed, staring at him while thinking about what to do.

And while she was about to allow him, Neris instantly smiled.

"Thank you!"

He immediately broke free from his sister’s grip and rushed into the distance to catch the butterfly.

He was still just before their sight, so Ally and the beast warriors let him have his fun, as long as they stayed close to him and watched him go after the butterfly.

And so, they stood there watching Neris happily run after the butterfly, laughing as he chased it around. He was having fun, and Ally couldn’t help but smile at the scene too.

Everyone smiled at the heartwarming sight of the little one going after butterflies.

But the atmosphere instantly changed.

Suddenly, Ally and the warrior beastmen could feel something in the air. They sensed danger in the atmosphere but couldn’t tell exactly where it was coming from.

Ally stared at little Neris, who was running around close to the bushes.

Then she could specifically feel where the danger was coming from.

At that moment, they began seeing eyes in the bushes.

Bright, glowing eyes stared at them from the darkness.

Not only could they feel the dangerous aura of the monsters watching them from the bushes, but they could also sense how powerful their energy was.

"Careful!"

Ally was the first to pinpoint where the dangerous energy was coming from. She instantly rushed toward her brother to protect him from any danger.

She was an S-rank, and her energy was already proving to be extremely strong. The warrior beastmen around her ranged from B-rank to C-rank, so they were much slower at grasping the dark energy signal.

Ally held her little brother firmly, pulling him closely into her arms to protect him as she stared around.

"Careful..." she muttered, her eyes fixed on the bushes.

She could feel the strong energy coming from within.

Ally could tell that these weren’t ordinary energies at all. These monsters were strong.

Extremely strong.

Klat and the warrior beastmen stepped forward. They pulled out their weapons and surrounded the little ones protectively.

Staring into the bushes at the shimmering eyes that flashed at them, they were ready to protect the little ones with their lives.

"Leave now!" Klat said firmly.

But Ally couldn’t bring herself to leave. She could feel how strong they were, yet she also felt that she could counter their energy.

Without hesitation, Ally closed her eyes and entered deep concentration.

Then, movements in the bushes slowly became more obvious. They could feel the wild monsters moving around inside while their eyes remained fixed on them.

Klat stared at the little one. "What are you doing...?" he demanded, but Ally didn’t answer.

She simply worked.

Ally went deep within herself and released her pheromones. She spread her S-rank pheromone energy throughout the atmosphere, filling the wild zone with it.

Her pheromones were strong.

S-rank level.

As the energy spread throughout the atmosphere, the wild monsters slowly began to feel its effects.

Soon, the wild monsters began groaning, growing uncomfortable from the pheromones being released into the atmosphere and pushing them away.

Ally gave it her all, producing repelling pheromone energy that would force them back.

And she was succeeding.

But soon, instead of moving backward, the wild monsters slowly began coming forward.

Their eyes gleamed even brighter from within the bushes as they slowly began emerging toward them...
