Chapter 232: Chapter 232: Frozen, Nami!

Hearing this, Zoro still wanted to move forward, but when he saw Luffy in his current state, he realized how dangerous it was.

With no other choice, he could only follow Raynor’s orders. He picked Luffy up and carried him toward the ship.

In such a short time, two members of the Straw Hat crew had already been taken out. As expected of a Navy Headquarters Admiral—Aokiji.

Seeing this, a grave look appeared in Aokiji’s eyes.

"What a waste. You’re so young, yet you already possess such incredible power. Why lower yourself by staying with the Straw Hat crew?"

"If you worked for the Navy, you might already be a hero by now."

Aokiji had just finished speaking when his brow suddenly furrowed.

In the next moment, Raynor appeared on his left and kicked Aokiji into the air.

Raynor immediately chased after him and landed several more kicks. His attacks were brutally fierce.

Only after kicking Aokiji’s substitute to pieces did Raynor finally feel some of his anger ease.

He would have liked to live in this world as a member of the Navy, but that damn system refused to let him. What else could he do?

Seeing Raynor’s violent side, Nami and Usopp swallowed nervously. ℴ

"What’s wrong with Raynor? Why did he suddenly become so aggressive?"

Hearing Nami’s question, Usopp stroked his chin and analyzed the situation:

"So many of our companions have been hurt by the enemy. It’s only natural for him to be angry, right?"

Nami glanced at Usopp.

"Then why didn’t you get angry and go fight?"

Usopp immediately shouted back:

"Hey, I’m saving my strength! Why don’t you go, then?"

The two of them were still arguing when they suddenly felt a wave of cold air rise behind them.

Nami and Usopp instantly fell silent. Then they turned around trembling.

A block of ice had appeared behind them.

The ice slowly melted, revealing none other than Navy Admiral Aokiji!

Then Aokiji spoke in a voice as cold as a demon’s whisper:

"You two, choose one."

Hearing this, neither Usopp nor Nami was willing to choose.

They immediately got up and tried to run, but at that moment, Aokiji grabbed Nami from behind.

"If neither of you will choose, then I’ll choose this beautiful lady."

As soon as he finished speaking, a thick layer of ice began to form over Nami’s body.

Seeing this, Raynor’s brow tightened as he charged toward Aokiji.

He never expected Aokiji to move so quickly.

He had been caught completely off guard.

Raynor kicked Aokiji to pieces, then caught Nami and held her in his arms.

Feeling her icy body, anger surged through Raynor.

He then looked at Sanji and Usopp.

"You two, don’t stay here. Hurry and get Nami back to the ship. I’ll deal with this guy myself."

As he spoke, Raynor tossed Nami toward Sanji. Sanji quickly caught her, afraid that even the slightest harm might come to her.

They both knew that staying there was pointless. They had to get back as quickly as possible.

They couldn’t become a burden to Raynor.

With that in mind, Sanji glanced at Raynor, told him to take care, and ran back while carrying Nami.

That left only Usopp behind.

Seeing that Usopp still had not left, Raynor shouted angrily:

"I told you to get back to the ship! Staying here will only hold me back!"

Hearing this, Usopp clenched his teeth and said:

"Then you should run too! What good will it do for you to stay here?"

"He’s a Navy Admiral! Do you understand that? You’ll die here too!"

At this, a cold look appeared in Raynor’s eyes.

Behind Usopp, a stream of cold air slowly gathered.

Grinding his teeth, Raynor silently said in his mind:

"System, extract the Ox Talisman."

As soon as he finished speaking, another hexagonal stone appeared in Raynor’s hand.

In an instant, Raynor activated the Ox Talisman’s power. The muscles all over his body swelled dramatically.

The veins on his muscles stood out. With a single burst of movement, Raynor appeared in front of Usopp and shouted:

"That’s enough!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Raynor punched Aokiji, who had just appeared.

Aokiji did not have time to turn into ice. His entire body was sent flying backward.

He coughed up blood.

The blood splashed across Usopp’s face. In the next second, Aokiji transformed his body into ice again, and the frozen figure shattered across the ground.

Seeing this, Usopp dropped heavily onto the ground.

For a brief moment, he actually believed that Raynor might be able to defeat the monster in front of them.

Raynor gasped for breath, then turned to Usopp.

"What are you waiting for? Get back to the ship!"

Hearing this, Usopp clenched his jaw.

He finally let go of the last bit of resistance in his heart, closed his eyes, and ran toward the Going Merry.

But before he had taken more than two steps, Aokiji appeared again and said:

"If you run away, you’ll never see him again. I’m serious. I’ll kill him."

Hearing those icy words, Usopp’s shattered resolve immediately rebuilt itself. His feet could no longer move.

Tears of humiliation filled his eyes.

If only he were stronger, he would not have to face a situation like this.

Hearing Aokiji’s words, Raynor shouted in frustration:

"Hey, don’t listen to him! I know this guy well. He won’t kill me. Hurry up and go!"

The moment Raynor finished speaking, he suddenly felt a wave of cold air surge up behind him.

As he watched Aokiji slowly melt into snow and water, Raynor’s face filled with shock.

An ice spike instantly pierced through the right side of his chest.

Raynor spat out a mouthful of blood, then moved quickly to dodge Aokiji.

When Usopp heard him cough up blood, he immediately turned around, his eyes wide with shock.

A large amount of blood was flowing from Raynor’s chest.

Raynor gritted his teeth and glared at Aokiji. He had never expected this guy to be serious.

Something was wrong. Given Aokiji’s personality, he should not have acted this way.

Twenty years ago, he had spared the weak Robin. That alone proved he was not the kind of person who killed every pirate he met.

On the contrary, his sense of justice was extremely laid-back. How could he suddenly try to kill Raynor?

Seeing the confusion on Raynor’s face, Aokiji raised his eyes and said coldly:

"You seem to know me quite well. Normally, I shouldn’t have tried to kill you."

"But I have no choice. The old men no longer allow you to exist."

Hearing this, Raynor’s brow furrowed deeply. Who exactly were the "old men" Aokiji was talking about?

The only old men powerful enough to order the Navy into a major battle were probably Sengoku and the Five Elders.

Could the Five Elders be trying to erase him?

How was that possible? Why would the Five Elders want to erase him?
