Chapter 203: 203/Dominic: Proving the Theory

Chapter 203

Stephanie’s point of view

My features hardened instantly. I turned my face toward the door, shutting him out with an icy armor.

"That is none of your business."

His gravelly voice rose, carrying a sharp, heavy undercurrent of a threat as he pointed a finger directly at me.

"Do not forget that I hold your neck and your entire future in my hands, Miss Miller. I suggest you remember that very clearly."

I closed my eyes in bitter defeat. I knew I had to feed his sickening curiosity before his volatile temper turned entirely against us. The words left my throat like a bitter pill.

"The story... it’s incredibly complicated and messy."

He sat up, his interest visibly piqued. Interlocking his fingers, he locked his pupils onto my face.

"My mother and Claire are still downstairs; they haven’t left yet. Which means I have plenty of time to listen to the details of your little drama."

I let out a heavy, suffocating sigh, staring down at the floorboards in absolute humiliation.

"I... I got pregnant by Alexander’s brother."

Vincent’s eyes widened significantly. His jaw dropped slightly, a rare crack in his stone-cold mask that he couldn’t hide.

"I certainly didn’t see that plot twist coming," he murmured.

"And Cedric..." I continued, my eyes burning with a deep, visceral ache. "Cedric is already engaged to another girl from a highly influential family. He can’t break it off due to massive, critical family pressures. When my father discovered the pregnancy, he threatened to force me into an abortion unless I got married immediately.

That’s when Cedric’s grandfather stepped in. He orchestrated my marriage to Alexander to cover up the scandal and protect the baby."

Vincent watched my expression in absolute silence for a few heavy seconds. Then, his lips twisted into a dry, cynical evaluation.

"Hmm... a fascinating story. Truly packed with drama."

"Yes. That’s the entire story. Is your curiosity satisfied now?" I spat out.

He knitted his brows slightly, genuinely perplexed.

"But if Alexander already knows your marriage is just a business arrangement to protect his brother’s child, why are you so terrified? Why are you losing your mind over him discovering that you’re still fucking his brother in secret?"

I swallowed hard, a deep sense of shame eating away at my insides as I answered him.

"Because Alexander and I used to be romantically involved in the past. After six full years apart, we were thrust back together because of this arrangement. I had absolutely no idea Cedric and Alexander were brothers until *after* I was already pregnant. I didn’t know!"

Vincent let out a soft, mocking chuckle, shaking his head with absolute certainty.

"Ah... Miss Miller, I think you are simply a walking human magnet for absolute disasters."

"And now I am completely trapped between two brothers... and you come along, threatening to expose everything and shatter whatever is left of my life!" I yelled, a stray tear escaping my eye.

A fleeting, highly artificial look of pity crossed his features, his tone dripping with selfish amusement.

"I do pity you for the mess you’re in... but on the other hand, I thoroughly enjoy holding people’s secrets over their heads to make them submit."

I glared at him with pure, unadulterated disgust, the words tearing from my throat before I could stop them.

"That’s because you are a psychotic, power-tripping lunatic!"

He didn’t fly into a rage. Instead, he calmly rose from the sofa, his eyes pinning mine with absolute confidence as he denied it smoothly.

"I am nothing of the sort."

"Yes, you are! You’re that and so much worse!" I yelled, taking a frantic step back as he began to close the distance between us.

He stepped directly into my personal space, completely erasing the distance between our bodies. Tilting his head down until he was level with my eyes, he whispered with a dangerous, quiet promise.

"A lunatic, Stephanie... does things that defy all reason."

"And that is exactly what you do to me every single time!" I snapped.

The corners of his lips pulled back into a dark, cold smirk, his eyes flashing with a sudden, unsettling boldness as he rasped:

"Since you insist so heavily that I am a lunatic... allow me to prove your theory correct."

In the blink of an eye, before I could even process his movement, his large hand shot forward. His fingers clamped tightly and ruthlessly over my breast, squeezing it in a sudden, shocking grip. My entire body jolted in sheer, paralyzing shock. A frantic panic surged through me as I violently slapped his hand away, desperately breaking his perverted hold.

I scrambled backward until my spine hit the wall, my cheeks burning with a raging fire of anger and absolute humiliation.

"You disgusting, perverted, violating psycho!" I gasped out, my voice trembling violently. "What the hell do you think you’re doing?!"

He pulled his hand back with absolute composure, showing no signs of remorse or shame. Instead, his deadly calm gaze dropped, anchoring itself onto my heavily heaving chest.

"Didn’t you just call me a lunatic?" he stated evenly. "Ever since Claire opened her mouth downstairs about you getting plastic surgery, I developed a genuine curiosity to see for myself if they were real."

My eyes widened in utter disbelief at an insolence that transcended any boundary of human decency.

"You vile, sickening bastard! I have never had plastic surgery in my life! And what happens to my body is absolutely none of your business anyway!"

He raised the very hand he had used to violate my space, slowly opening and closing his fingers as if brazenly recalling the sensation right in front of my face.

"You’re right," he evaluated coolly. "No surgery. When I squeezed, it felt entirely natural."

I grabbed my head with both hands, feeling like I was about to lose my mind inside this godforsaken room because of him. Tears of pure frustration choked my throat.

"You psychotic demon... you are going to drive me completely insane!"

He took a slow step toward me, a mocking smile pulling at his lips.

"Oh, Miss Miller, are you really going to play the modest drama queen over a passing touch? I’ve already seen your bare ass the other day, so there’s really no need for this hyper-sensitive, fake modesty now."

I couldn’t draw oxygen in the same room with him for another single second. Turning with frantic desperation, I lunged for the door, grabbing the handle to twist the lock and escape this living hell. But with a lightning-fast reflex, his iron grip clamped around my forearm, brutally halting my movement.

"You are not leaving," he commanded flatly.

I whipped around to face him, my eyes blazing with absolute fury.

"I have to leave right now!" I gasped out. "Alexander is going to start calling me because I’m late, and I won’t be able to justify why I’m still out!"

He casually pulled out his secondary phone, completely unfazed.

"If he calls... I will answer the phone myself. I’ll simply tell him that an urgent pile of corporate files required your immediate presence by my side."

"I cannot stay in the same room with you!" I cried out in terror, tears streaming down my face. "I can’t predict your sick actions or what you might do to me next!"

He locked his dark eyes onto mine, his voice dropping to a rigid, absolute authority that brooked no argument.

"And I, on the other hand, do not trust you out there. The moment you step foot out of this room, you could easily sabotage my arrangement and destroy everything I just built downstairs."

"You are blackmailing me, threatening to expose my secret and ruin my life with Alexander and Cedric!" I screamed in bitter defeat. "Of course I wouldn’t dare do anything to make you lose your mind on me!"

Suddenly, our volatile exchange was cut short by a violent, frantic pounding that shook the heavy wooden door. From the other side, Margaret’s voice exploded in a screeching, furious tirade.

"Dominic! Open this damn door right now!"

I recoiled in terror, turning to Vincent with a breathless, whispered plea.

"Go... open the door for her quickly so this nightmare can end!"

Vincent turned his head toward the door, a dark, calculating smirk spreading across his face, radiating absolute defiance. He took a deep, steady breath and called out in a booming, resonant voice that echoed clearly down the entire hallway:

"Mother! I am fucking my girlfriend right now. I cannot open the door for you under any circumstances!"

My jaw dropped in absolute, paralyzing shock, completely robbing me of the ability to breathe. I stood there, utterly frozen, sickened by the sheer audacity and filth of the words he had just shouted to his own mother.

The pounding on the door intensified with a violent rage, as if she were about to break it down, followed by her muffled shriek of pure disgust and hatred.

"I am going downstairs to get the spare key right now, and I will open this door myself!"

The shouting stopped, followed by the rapid, angry clicking of her heels as she stormed away down the hall.

Vincent slowly turned his gaze back to my trembling frame. His cold eyes swept over me, carrying a rigid, merciless command as he stated blankly:

"Take your clothes off. Right now."
