One Night Mistake… Now I Carry the Mafia Heir
Chapter 179/Call Me Dominic, Sweetheart
Chapter 179: 179/Call Me Dominic, Sweetheart
Chapter 179
Stephanie’s POV
I froze completely, turning into a literal statue as every single drop of blood violently drained from my face, leaving my skin as stark white as a sheet of paper. I stared with wide, panicked eyes at the woman standing before me. She practically radiated raw power and absolute authority.
Her eyes flashed with a burning malice and a desperate urge to destroy me she looked exactly like a carbon copy of Mr. Vincent with her striking blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. Meanwhile, Vincent stood right beside me with a freezing, unbothered detachment I had never seen before, acting as if the entire catastrophic situation didn’t concern his ass at all.
"Madam... please," I stammered, my voice cracking and shaking violently as I desperately tried to salvage whatever fraction of my honor and life remained. "You are completely mistaken. Mr. Vincent is strictly my boss at the company, nothing more and nothing less."
She narrowed her eyes, a vicious, mocking sneer pulling at her lips as she pointed a sharp, manicured hand toward Dominic and his silk robe. "Your boss?! Since when the hell do bosses wear silk bathrobes to receive their female employees in the living room in such a scandalous, indecent manner?!"
Panic violently seized my chest. I found myself aggressively rubbing my palms together, a cold sweat breaking out across my forehead as my anxiety skyrocketed. "I... I only came here because of a pressing, urgent matter regarding company business.
It required my immediate, emergency presence under his direct orders."
She shook her head with deep, absolute condemnation, pure derision written all over her harsh features. "And does urgent company business require his ass to lean entirely over your body and choke your neck like that? He was a fraction of an inch away from kissing you... is that also part of your goddamn job description and corporate duties?!"
I was about to fire back with a frantic, desperate defense to clear my name, but Vincent cut me off entirely.
His voice was calm, grounded, and utterly shocking as he took a long, nonchalant stride toward his mother, completely unbothered. "Fine, Mother... you caught me red-handed. There is no point in denying it or playing goddamn games anymore. This is Stephanie... my girlfriend."
My entire face locked up in absolute horror. This was the biggest, most devastating blow I had ever received in my entire life. I whipped my head around to stare at him in utter, paralyzing bewilderment. My tongue was completely tied, the sheer weight of his monstrous lie leaving me utterly incapable of uttering a single syllable to contradict him.
His mother let out a furious, sharp scream that rattled the walls of the massive room. "Your girlfriend?! And what the hell happens to Claire and her family? What am I supposed to say to that poor girl and her high-profile family because of your reckless stunts?!"
"Claire?" he answered in a flat, dry tone, as if he were negotiating a mundane business contract. "I never gave her a single promise or a shred of hope from the beginning, nor have I ever touched her. You’re the only one who has been constructing and planning this entire fantasy arrangement inside your own head."
She let out a harsh, furious breath, her eyes blazing with pure rage. "Claire is madly, catastrophically in love with you! She is my best friend’s daughter, and she has been waiting for a single sign from you for years!"
"But I don’t give a shit about her, and she doesn’t attract me in any goddamn way, Mother," he shot back, a palpable, freezing indifference bleeding into his deep baritone.
His mother swung her venomous gaze back to me, her eyes tracking every inch of my body with deep resentment and absolute disdain. She turned back to her son, her voice cutting like glass. "And you seriously love this nobody?! This is the girl you preferred, making her your girlfriend at the expense of a girl from a prestigious, elite family like ours?"
Suddenly, without a shred of permission, his massive, warm hand shot out boldly. He wrapped his powerful arm securely around my waist, pulling my body back with immense force until my spine was pinned flat against his broad, exposed chest. He delivered his next words with an unshakeable, calm, and highly provocative confidence that set the entire room on fire. "Yes. I love her."
A hurricane of dark, terrifying thoughts violently tore through my brain, driving me insane. *I am married to Alexander. I am carrying twins inside my womb. And now this absolute psycho is telling his mother this unhinged madness in the middle of a catastrophic scandal?!*
I could barely breathe, frantically writhing against his iron grip to break free. "Mr. Vincent... please, listen to me, I—"
"Stephanie, sweetheart..." his gravelly voice cut me off instantly. He leaned his head down slowly, his breath fanning right against my ear in a tone that sounded exactly like a dominant, unshakeable lover performing before his mother to completely silence me. "Didn’t I tell you repeatedly to call me Dominic when we are alone? What’s wrong, honey? Did my mother suddenly make you shy?"
This was absolute madness. This was a death sentence. My mind couldn’t even process how he possessed the sheer audacity to pull such a filthy, calculated performance, manipulating everyone in the room with such chilling, provocative mastery. I twisted my head to face him, my eyes pooling with desperate tears as I begged for an ounce of mercy, whispering in a strangled plea, "Can... can I please speak to you completely alone for a few minutes inside?"
He gave a slow nod, entirely playing into my desperate request as a cold, sinister smirk stretched across his lips. "Of course, sweetheart."
