Chapter 161: 161/The Final Drop of Dignity
Chapter 161
Stephanie’s point of view
Satisfaction and superiority painted themselves in a provocative, sickening way over the contours of his features. He extended his long hand deliberately to place the black phone into my trembling, cold palm: "Very well... take your phone."
I took it with a speed that snatched my breath away, while he took a wide step back to clear the way for me. Then, he spoke in a commanding, stern tone: "Now... you are the one who will drive me to my house in your car tonight."
I swallowed my saliva with a bitterness that burned my torn throat, nodding my head, incapable of arguing: "Fine... as you wish."
I got behind the steering wheel with limbs as tensed and stiffened as wood, while he opened the adjacent door and sat beside me with absolute confidence. I started the engine with trembling fingers and drove off at high speed amidst the city streets drowning under torrents of rain and faint streetlamps.
I was focusing my sight hysterically, insanely on the road stretching ahead of me to escape his features, while extreme embarrassment and humiliation devoured my insides with raging madness.
After long minutes of suffocating silence that almost cut off our breath inside the car, his massive body shifted beside me, and he spoke with a complaint and annoyance, touching his jaw: "Because of that savage bite of yours in the restroom... my lower lip is completely deformed and it bled."
*Really, for heaven’s sake?! Is this narcissistic lunatic thinking now about the deformity of his wretched lip while my entire life and existence rest in his hands under threat and destruction?!*
I ignored his words completely, locking my lips tightly and not uttering a single letter to curb my fury. He returned to say coldly and in a sharp tone: "Do you have any paper tissues here in this car to wipe this trace?"
Before I had the ability to move, or show a reaction, or even scream in his face not to do anything and not to touch a thing, his long hand had extended with lightning speed to open the glove compartment located below the dashboard. Within fractions of a second, the compartment door dropped lightly and smoothly, revealing that wretched toy dick lying inside the compartment in absolute clarity and shock under the dim, orange lighting of the dashboard.
*Oh my God... what did I do in my life and my years to be punished like this and have my luck lashed in this terrifying and scandalous manner in a single night?!*
His hawk-like gaze froze in utter astonishment on the contents of the compartment for seconds that passed like an eternity.
Then, he turned his head toward me with a deathly slowness, and signs of immense shock mingled with bitter, biting, and sickening mockery painted themselves across his entire face. He spoke in a thick, raspy voice dripping with the highest degrees of sarcasm and Schadenfreude: "I truly think, Miss Miller, that you need to consult a specialist in sexual disorders as soon as possible... because the suppression you are going through, and what you hide inside you, is strange and completely unnatural."
Damn me... damn me, my life, and this stupidity that pursues me without mercy!
My face completely burned with the hot blood resulting from the intensity of shame and blatant humiliation, and I said in a raspy voice begging him to stop: "Please... Mr. Vincente, you cannot speak to me in this disgusting and hurtful way, or interfere in my personal privacy in this manner."
He replied with a sharp cruelty, a look as sharp as a blade that effectively silenced my tongue: "You can no longer tell me how to speak to you, or where my boundaries lie... because simply, from now on, I will speak in the manner that pleases me and suits me... Do you have any problem with this, Mrs. Volkov?"
Of course... of course, since he had found the winning card and the deadly evidence with which he threatened my existence and destroyed my family and marriage, I no longer possessed the right to object, or refuse, or utter a single letter to defend my broken self.
I averted my gaze in total brokenness toward the dark road and said with a lump in my throat: "Never... there is no problem."
He commented with utter coldness as he slammed the compartment shut with force: "Excellent."
Finally, after an eternity of psychological torture and continuous lashing, I turned the car toward the entrance of his massive house. I stopped the engine with a hand trembling violently, and said with a vast eagerness to leave and escape his presence: "We have arrived at your house."
He settled into his seat coldly without moving a single step, looking at me from the corner of his eyes, saying arrogantly: "Get out of your seat quickly, and open the outer car door for me."
I turned to him in complete shock and astonishment, feeling humiliation crush me: "What?! I get out?!"
His eyelids narrowed sharply, terrifying me, and he spoke in a voice as sharp as a blade, cutting off all lines of discussion: "Miss Miller... if you have a real problem with hearing or understanding orders, go treat it immediately without wasting my time... I absolutely do not like repeating my words and orders twice in the same situation, is this matter understood?"
I got out of the car quickly and directed my trembling body under the rain toward his door to open it for him, cursing him in my mind with all the insults and hell of the earth, and cursing my complicated life that had made me fall in love with and share the bed of two brothers at the same time in this wretched and soul-destroying way.
He stepped out of the car with his towering height and bulk that blocked the falling air from me. He stood directly in front of me for seconds that passed like an eternity, and spoke in a calm voice full of arrogance: "Monday morning... come to my house here very early in the morning and without any delay."
