One-Eyed Monster
Chapter 1395 - 1392: Rolling Wheels (Part 2)
"Attack?" Harry Kayne stared at Igor, clearly quite concerned about Igor's statement.
When his gaze swept over those battle-hardened individuals, they all showed apprehension, but when he looked at this young man, he sensed something unusual.
This unusual feeling was something he had experienced before, a longing, a desire for the unknown.
No matter what lies ahead, the steps of exploration cannot halt.
Harry Kayne seemed to have returned to his childhood.
But now, everything had changed; he had become the king of the empire, adept at reading people.
The times of exploration had become a memory that warmed his heart, enabling him to continually move forward.
So when Igor answered his question directly, he felt a strong sense of familiarity.
Thus, he was willing to spend more time on this young man.
"How do you plan to attack? Where is the enemy? How should we proceed? Do you have a plan?"
The king's words drew everyone's attention to Igor, even the few plants quieted down, no longer making sizzling sounds, seemingly waiting for Igor's response.
"I don't have a plan." Igor grinned, speaking naturally, without any pressure. It seemed as if none of those gazes lingered on him, as if these people weren't expecting his answer at all.
His casual reply disappointed those who were eagerly anticipating; those unfamiliar with him saw him as a reckless youngster speaking without thinking.
"I know where we should attack." Igor added, his face still calm.
However, this time his words couldn't capture others' attention since most had already assumed he was a reckless young man.
"Where should we attack?" Harry Kayne was still interested, wanting to know what Igor was planning.
"Star River, Bess Mountains, there we have lost many areas, and we should take them back." Igor spoke quietly, believing his plan was still good.
"Can you tell me the reason?" Harry Kayne was still curious, pursuing the answer.
"It's our rightful territory, we must reclaim it. It's rightful, there's no negotiation needed. Moreover, when we move, it will naturally attract the opponent's attention, allowing us to truly face these enemies."
Igor's words astounded the crowd even more; they realized this lad might not be as foolish as he appeared.
"If we fully commit to attacking Star River and Bess Mountains, what will we do if other areas face danger?" Benjamin asked, curious about what Igor had said.
"As for this point, I think we should handle it case by case, whether it's the Wensi Empire or Mantai Empire, both are in an unusual state." Igor spoke slowly, as if he had prepared his words long in advance.
"You mean our attack is merely a feint?" Harry Kayne looked at Igor, clearly understanding what Igor meant.
"Your Majesty, you are indeed wise, that is precisely what I meant." Igor bowed in acknowledgment.
Hiss—this statement shocked everyone. They glanced at each other, feeling their earlier discussion was now pointless.
Indeed, honestly, initially, they thought this young man was speaking carelessly, but after listening to a few more explanations, they realized his opinion wasn't entirely untenable.
After all, the whole world is changing, and only Kayne Empire is maintaining its original appearance among the Three Great Empires, while the other two have become totally unrecognizable.
At this moment, if they attack the lost territories near Star River and Bess Mountains, likely those two empires' Guardian Armies wouldn't be able to react in time, as their empires have changed leadership and their fate is still unknown, in this state of uncertainty, they prefer stability, avoiding conflicts with others.
Therefore, Igor's proposal is quite excellent.
Perhaps they wouldn't need to expend much effort to reclaim those lost territories. It's really a promising plan; they began whispering discussions amongst themselves.
"What does everyone think of this proposal?" Harry Kayne suddenly asked, seemingly unwilling to offer his ministers much time for discussion.
"I think we should give it a try!" Benjamin was the first to express his opinion, the empire's secretary was quite excited.
"If we can quietly capture those territories, then naturally, the enemy will notice, forcing them to reveal themselves, which is also a good choice!" Chairman Louis said, agreeing with the plan.
"The problem now is how we should conduct the feint!" Will Kangen pointed out the issue's crux.
"Your considerations are all correct, but don't forget; the empire's Guardian Army has long been eager to march forth. You forget our combat prowess, we've been defensive for years, feeling stifled, it's time to go out and shake things up!" General Bisley said, flushed with excitement, wholeheartedly supporting Igor's proposal.
"Alright, I understand everyone's views!" Harry Kayne declared, hands behind his back, displaying the demeanor expected of a king.
"Your Majesty!" Everyone bowed, knowing the king had made his decision, and they simply had to execute his will.
"Luona and Bistal, you are the reserve forces, if the feint attacks fail, Luona will handle the rescue, and Bistal will manage the reinforcements."
"Luona accepts the order!"
"Bistal serves the empire!"
"General Bisley, the Guardian Army near Star River and Bess Mountains will be arranged by you, surely you already have the answer in your mind." Harry Kayne looked at Bisley, thinking this wouldn't need his deployment.
"At your command!" General Bisley saluted, already having his attack plan, waiting just for this day.
"Everyone else, prepare, there's plenty to do. The Dark Cabinet has already taken action, the Wizard Alliance and Kangen Family will handle the reconstruction of the Alchemy Workshop, the empire's advantage lies with the Adventurers with Class, we cannot be without the Alchemy Workshop."
"Yes, Your Majesty!" Will Kangen and Chairman Louis replied in unison.
Thus, the entire plan was deployed like that, Secretary Benjamin swiftly recorded everything, then handed it to Scholar Luona; every royal decision must be documented.
The wheels of history roll forward tirelessly, and this resolution is bound to create new history.
