One-Eyed Monster
Chapter 1247 - 1243: Clash with the Kangen Family
Kadi's kick made Patrick, who was originally planning to leave proudly, stop in his tracks. He didn't expect the young man to be so disrespectful!
For so many years!
No one has dared to kick the door of the Kangen Family!
Have these two youngsters eaten the heart of a bear and the gall of a leopard to dare kick the door like this?
Clearly, the act of Kadi kicking the door elevated the situation to another level, especially since Patrick had just been promoted to housekeeper not long ago.
Without having achieved any accomplishments yet, the family's door was kicked in, and Patrick felt this was intolerable. This matter was dangerously close to becoming a point of disgrace for the family.
Patrick slowly turned around, looked at Igor and Kadi, and said in a deep voice, "Do you know what you just did?"
"Why do you care what I did? I have just one demand, release Coban Kangen!" Kadi maintained his persistent attitude, showing no fear regardless of the opponent's status.
"The door you just kicked is the door to the Kangen Family, a noble family of the Empire!" Patrick said with a resonant voice, clearly furious at Igor and Kadi's actions.
Igor moved in front of Kadi. He knew the other party was angry, but they also had their reasons: "Yes, kicking the door was rude, but the truly rude ones are you. We knocked, we asked for a person, and you remained indifferent, so how could we communicate with you properly?"
However, many things are not as Igor imagined, especially now, trying to reason with an angry person is unwise.
An angry person won't listen to logic, they only adhere to their own principles, like Patrick now, who felt that these two youths had insulted the Kangen Family.
The consequences of insulting the Kangen Family are severe, and as the family housekeeper, he couldn't sit idly by. His body trembled with anger, causing the white robe on him to shake as he entered a combat state, as wizards do.
The young gray-robed guards watching the door trembled and shrank back, aware of how terrifying an angry white-robed wizard can be. They are still gray robes with a vast future ahead, and cannot risk having their future destroyed by a white robe's anger.
Many things are that way, the involved are confused, while the onlookers see clearly. Igor and Patrick had no idea that their confrontation might trigger a chain reaction.
This chain reaction could potentially affect people's lives, but now, no one could stop Patrick's anger.
Patrick gradually increased his spirit power, his insuppressible anger busy occupying his whole body, and he felt a bit uncomfortable with the process.
However, he knew where his anger stemmed from.
This kicking incident was merely a beginning; it could be big or small, entirely depending on the housekeeper's state of mind.
Patrick felt Igor and Kadi's act of kicking the door was a form of contempt, a challenge to his current status.
This gate, with its long history, stomped by Kadi, left an indescribable feeling. Patrick felt uneasy then, as the gate of the Kangen Family is a symbol.
Yet, this symbol was vandalized, and at such an awkward moment.
It just so happened to be kicked during Patrick's tenure. After he was promoted to chief housekeeper of the Kangen Family, he had yet to accomplish anything praiseworthy, and now, instead of good news, bad news came; this door, was kicked by those two youths!
Young people, not understanding the vastness of the heavens and the earth, must be properly educated by us, the elders!
Patrick's white robe began to shed countless dazzling lights, the light like sharp swords, piercing directly toward Igor and Kadi.
Such brilliant luster!
Igor and Kadi had never encountered such an attack before. Though they had met many wizards, none like Patrick, who could use light rays to attack.
The light rays seemed aimed, stabbing toward Igor and Kadi, uncompromisingly targeting vital places with fierce attacks.
Igor and Kadi's eyes suddenly faced a violent assault.
The unexpected light attacks indeed created significant trouble for Igor and Kadi.
The light rays were so piercing they seemed to want to blind Igor and Kadi.
Their eyes couldn't withstand such brightness, instinctively choosing to shut.
Patrick continued to unleash his light rays while also approaching the two youngsters; merely relying on the light wasn't enough to teach them a memorable lesson.
Like delivering a hard punch to their stomachs, which wouldn't be a bad method.
Being a wizard, Patrick didn't need to personally handle it. Magic could handle many things, and wooden sticks were silently approaching Igor and Kadi.
Thud, thud, thud, Igor and Kadi got hit in their bellies, but they couldn't open their eyes, the light was too strong.
Igor and Kadi could only endure the pain, reinforcing a layer of defense on themselves, Igor using spirit power, and Kadi with his blue flame.
With their defenses up, Patrick's physical attacks were ineffective. Patrick was surprised at how swift their reactions were, and their spirit defenses were very solid.
At this moment, Kadi and Igor, without exception, were pondering how to deal with this light. The light was incomprehensible with their eyes shut, rendering them unable to take targeted action, leaving them to resist blindly, their attacks missing the mark, a very awkward situation.
Their strengths couldn't be displayed as the light completely suppressed them.
This light attack is Patrick's trump card. Using it promptly indicates the extent of Patrick's fury. Originally a Flame Wizard, he developed this light skill through advancement. This trump card helped him overcome many hurdles, now only a step away from becoming a holy robe.
The troubles these two youths stirred up made him extremely angry. He wouldn't allow the Kangen Family to be insulted during his tenure as housekeeper.
Such a thing must not happen!
Patrick released his spirit power, making the light even more intense. Under this vibrant radiance, he became unstoppable.
Kadi and Igor truly suffered from it.
But these two youngsters were not ones to surrender easily, resisting, adapting in their manner, gradually transforming.
Feeling the rhythm, keeping up with the pace.
All Igor could think about now was these things. He knew, he was about to find that point, the breakthrough against this light attack!
