OMG! Tyrant's Pampered Baby Is a Valued Princess
Chapter 1397: You Truly Are the Hope of Our Dragon Clan
Bai Zhi’er was already tired of saying the same words to refute her.
She walked outward. "Come take a look. The moment I enter the vortex, I’ll be swept away immediately. I don’t have that kind of ability the Dragon Clan has."
The mother dragon, hearing this, followed behind her.
When the two of them passed by the treasure-filled cave from before, neither of them noticed that beneath the pile of treasures, there seemed to be a yellow eye watching them.
Bai Zhi’er walked to the entrance of the Dragon Nest.
Outside was the ink-dark, unfathomable seabed.
Closer to the entrance, one could still see the swirling undercurrents in the water.
Bai Zhi’er hesitated a little.
Because she knew she couldn’t use Mana here, and she had experienced the power of the vortex when she came.
That feeling of "having no control over your own body."
No wonder that even in the Mortal World, all ships feared encountering a vortex.
The sea’s surface might sometimes look calm, but beneath the great ocean, everything was unknown.
The mother dragon, however, was not worried; instead she looked at Bai Zhi’er with a hint of pride.
"Baby, don’t be afraid. You can definitely do it. Even though you don’t have a dragon tail right now to help you keep your balance, you can do it!"
She smiled gently. "Mother believes in you."
Bai Zhi’er let out a sigh.
Forget it.
This vortex, she really had to try it again.
Otherwise Yue Hui really would think she was her child.
Bai Zhi’er braced herself against the cave wall, turned her head to Yue Hui, and said, "Then you’d better watch carefully. Oh, and if I get swept away in a bit, don’t worry about me."
"Maybe the next time I pass out and wake up, I’ll have been found by Brother Fu Ce..."
She muttered this under her breath, then stepped out of the Dragon Nest with one foot, sinking into the pitch-black water.
Bai Zhi’er squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for that feeling of being torn apart by the vortex.
However, what happened next was completely beyond her expectations...
Not only was she not sucked away by the vortex like last time...
Her Jinli Primordial Spirit was inexplicably triggered from within her body.
The beautiful fish tail turned into her long, glossy dress.
The pink-gold hem of her skirt became the only light in the deep black seawater.
"Eh?" Bai Zhi’er lowered her head, puzzled. "Weren’t we not supposed to be able to use Mana? What’s going on?"
Could it be that her cultivation was strong now, so her bloodline had awakened a self-protection method?
Bai Zhi’er hadn’t even processed it yet.
Yue Hui was already joyfully circling around her, the enormous dragon body churning up towering waves, making the vortex’s current even fiercer.
"Baby’s fish tail is so pretty. I actually gave birth to a little fish!" She was delighted and excited.
Her tone was more like proud boasting.
Even though she was a dragon, she didn’t feel there was anything wrong with having given birth to a fish.
Bai Zhi’er tried to explain, "I’m really not..."
But Yue Hui happily pressed her enormous dragon head against her. "Good child, you truly are the hope of our Dragon Clan."
She nudged Bai Zhi’er back into the Dragon Nest.
Bai Zhi’er’s dress, which had been formed from a fish tail, instantly reverted to normal.
Yue Hui hummed a little song in her happiness.
Bai Zhi’er watched her like this and knew there was absolutely no way to clear herself of this misunderstanding now.
She pressed her fingers to her brow.
Where is Brother Fu Ce? Hurry up and come find her!
Over the next three days, Yue Hui carefully tended to Bai Zhi’er, even more attentive than before.
She truly treated her as her own flesh-and-blood child.
At night, when it was time to sleep, she would nudge Bai Zhi’er back into the eggshell.
Who knew where Yue Hui had learned it from—she used Jade as a pillow for Bai Zhi’er.
As for herself, she curled up into a ball, surrounding the Dragon Egg with her own body.
To take better care of Bai Zhi’er, Yue Hui would always bring her seaweed in her mouth.
But Bai Zhi’er had no appetite at all for this seaweed; she simply couldn’t eat it.
