Chapter 2777: Age of the Gods I

The defeat of the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki should not have been this quick because there was supposed to be a step-by-step process. The God King Odin was fated to die at the hands of the God of Mischief Loki because of the revived World Boss Fenrir Unchained. Everything should have proceeded with the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki getting control of the northern continent.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki would have become the new ruler of Asgard and the northern continent as he grows his power. Everything proceeded according to plan but there was one variable that changed it all. The being known as the Demon or Equinox himself became the largest variable that fast tracked the demise of the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki.

The God of Mischief Loki would have killed the Great Star Gazer as planned but the Norns should have no way of cursing him with the fate of Ragnarok. The resentment of the Norns would have built up and they would twist fate itself to have the Noblesse demons launch an attack on the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki. The power of the three Noblesse demons would have been far too powerful for the newly awakened Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki and he would have used his last chance using the Trickster’s Tome.

The problem happened when Adrian was too powerful for a weakened God of Mischief Loki. He became able to trap the God of Mischief Loki in the Sanctum of Stars and fight him along with Frey who is another powerful player. The fight between them and the God of Mischief Loki went beyond what the weakened god could handle and the latter would have died if not for the former’s desperation.

With death being so close, the God of Mischief Loki used the last charge of the Trickster’s Tome. This made Adrian become the one that is sent to the Void instead of the three Noblesse demons. If that really happened then Adrian would have been tied to his territory to protect it which would make the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki amass more power than before.

The Norns would then twist fate once again as the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki is now vulnerable to their power. A powerful legendary Summoner, which would have been called the Summoner of Hope, would have exited their seclusion to find a way for the Flame Giant Surtr to descend upon Asgard. It would then end the same with the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki being destroyed as Asgard is destroyed by the Flame Giant Surtr.

All of the events that would have taken five months in real time suddenly washed down the drain. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki could not even amass power and is struck down because Equinox or Adrian broke all the rules of summoning. Divine energy is the only way to summon a god to the main world and Adrian has that. His understanding of it is also great which made it easy for him to be the new Summoner of Hope.

The appearance of another summoner that can efficiently use the divine laws and backed up by the Norns shortened the lifespan of this patch. The only good thing is that the Fomorians and the Asuras did not become utterly destroyed as there would have been wars raging in the central continent and the southern continent. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki would have supported the Fomorians and the Asuras in claiming territories in their respective continents to increase the territory under the Asgardian Faction.

Due to everything become ashes, the plot for Ragnarok has decreased and even left some parts out. A massive war would have happened which would have terraformed the central continent and the southern continent. The disappearance of key indicators of the Ragnarok story line did not mean that everything will not happen because a more terrifying force is now brewing.

Twisting fate to their whims of revenge is not something that the Fates or Norns should normally do. Even if they are the goddesses that preside over fate, they are beings that should only preserve and do their duties. With the Fates actively shortening the thread of fate of the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki, they also brought in an even bigger disaster because the AI of Pandemonium has taken reigns in creating the next updates.

“The Age of the Gods. This is something that is not part of our development plan.” One of the development leads stated as they were now decoding the next events that could happen as per the super AI of the game.

The Age of the Gods is basically a time where Lesser Gods can now roam freely in the world. The Greater Gods can also do so but they cannot fully exert their power when not in their sacred lands. The overall divine energy of the world has also increased which means the hidden demigods that are secretive and trying to ascend has gained the power to do so.

The world is now filled with more hidden dangers than ever before because even gods are part of the war force. The gods that can descend are not just limited to the gods in Pandemonium because even the dark gods and distorted gods can descend freely as long as they find a way. In fact, many lesser dark gods and lesser distorted gods have already descended via sacrifice from their followers.

The Followers of the Dark Gods that were laying low has started to move once more. With the dark gods and distorted gods now descending, the fighting force that was small is now bigger and more powerful than before. The Age of the Gods is not an age of prosperity because it is an age of turmoil. This is what follows whenever the Goddesses of Fate twists reality for their vendetta. An even bigger threat is now coming.
