Chapter 2776: Results of a Destroyed Divine Realm

As soon as the fight was over, the rift above Asgard also started to close but a loud bang could be heard. A gigantic hand that is as large as the rift tried to forcefully expand it. Adrian lifted his eyebrows as he did not expect that a Titan was able to pinpoint the exact frequency of the main world but it was all in vain.

The destruction of Asgard did not just stop with it burning into the ground. A powerful explosion of divine energy rose up from the land and exploded. The reason why Adrian also told the elders and the demons to stop fixing the rift is due to this. There needed to be a place where the energy of a supercharged destroyed divine realm to go to.

If there was no place provided where the energy is displaced then it would have destroyed half of the northern continent. Fortunately for them, the rift is still open and is only slowly closing because of the Titans in Tartarus. The rift also acted as a vacuum which is the perfect way to divert a dangerous amount of energy. The explosion of Asgard’s divine energy and the flaming divine energy of the Flame Giant Surtr rose up into the rift.

The large had that is trying to maintain the rift suddenly got assaulted by this energy and is burned greatly. A loud cry could be heard from the other side of the rift before another pair of hands closed the rift completely. The rift that should have taken about ten minutes to close is forcefully closed by the beings on the other side. Adrian laughed at what happened because the Titans did think that they can cross to the other side with that rift but it is impossible.

“Still, with the rift gone, where will that powerful energy go?” Adrian stated as the rift acted like a vacuum and the energy began to run rampant with that gone.

“We cannot redirect energy. Everyone! Escape!” Elder Ascalor shouted as the demons are not adept at redirecting divine energy that is volatile.

With the energy no longer being funneled upwards, the gods that are in the vicinity immediately went to work. All of them combined their powers together to create a powerful barrier that protected all of the warriors around them. They could not let these fine warriors that came here to die just because of a freak hazard of flaming divine energy. All of them burned what they have with what divine power they have left for the clone that descended but it was not enough.

“What are you doing?! Help us!” The God of War Ares shouted as he glared at Adrian because the former knows that this demon can manipulate divine energy even better than a lesser god.

“I am just a weak little demon. The gods can handle this on their own. I need to handle other matters.” Adrian replied as he was not obliged to help them because everything would have been easier if they did not arrive here.

Adrian would have easily dealt with the Asgardians if the other gods of war and justice did not descend. The power that the World Boss Fenrir Unchained and the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki got is due to numerous divinities having their divine energy stolen. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki would have stayed as a god if there were not an abundance of gods to prey on by his son.

“LORD OF LIMBO! If you make it difficult then I shall send you souls without filtering them! I have a hundred thousand warsouls that I still have command over!” The God of War Ares stated.

“Tch! He used an official title. Now I cannot ignore and pretend. Are there no mortals in sight?” Adrian stated as all of the northern warriors were already transported away by the demons as per his instructions.

Adrian looked around to check if there were any other mortals around because what he is about to do is release an Authority. Since the situation before him is a special circumstance and traces of divine energy is still spread about, Adrian can wield the Authority as the Lord of Limbo and influence the mortal realm for a brief moment. The gods of war and justice can do the same but their current bodies are too exhausted to call upon their Authorities.

“Ok then. Let us do this!” Adrian stated as his eyes suddenly turned pitch black and his body twisted to his Avatar in Limbo.

Adrian’s Avatar in Limbo is different from his Netheros form. He usually uses his Netheros form when there are no important events. His real Limbo Avatar form is different as it is a being shrouded in nether energy and aether energy combined. This form can only be seen by those that have divine energy or else they will either get blinded or perish.

Adrian’s Limbo Avatar is equivalent to a god or goddess showing their true form. A god and goddesses true form is incredibly powerful as they can freely wield Authority but it is also their most vulnerable form hence, they rarely use it even with fights against other gods. If a god or goddesses’ true form is damaged, the divine soul will experience ten times the pain and hurt which might lead to some gods dying with just one attack if a more powerful being harms them in the true form.

The entire area also turned to a pale dark night where sun has a creepy smile and the moon looked like a wailing face. The gods of war and justice wanted to peek at Adrian’s Limbo Avatar but all of them forced themselves to not look. Adrian is now equivalent to that of a High God for utilizing the power of Limbo in the mortal realm but it also comes with major drawbacks.

With Adrian using Authority in the mortal realm, he would be subjected to the Law of Causality. The Law of Causality wants balance and such a power should not be available to the mortal realm because Adrian’s power as the Lord of Limbo is Life and Death. The Authority of Life and Death should not be wielded in the mortal realm under any circumstances because it messes up with the natural order.

“Authority: Life and Death!” Adrian’s voice sounded like two separate beings spoke. One had the voice of a younger Adrian while the other an older version.

As soon as Adrian used his Authority, the divine energy that would have decimated a quarter of the northern continent got sent upwards. The Law of Causality also activated and created a powerful thundercloud and released the Heavenly Tribulation. The divine energy clashed with the lightning from the Heavenly Tribulation.

The divine energy looked like it was defending against the Lightning Heavenly Tribulation but it only did so for a few seconds. The divine energy is destroyed by the Lightning Heavenly Tribulation and scattered to the mortal realm. Adrian then saw the lightning snaking all the way towards him. He even tried to move sideways but the lightning is locked onto him.

“This is why I do not do charities. All of you gods owe me for this.” Adrian stated as he got directly hit by the Lightning Heavenly Tribulation in his Limbo Avatar Form.

Adrian’s body disintegrated and turned to ashes from being directly hit by the Lightning Heavenly Tribulation. The storm clouds vanished as soon as Adrian’s death is confirmed. The gods gulped as they knew that they would not only have their clones die but suffer damage to their divine souls if they were the ones that took that hit.

[The divine energy in the world has increased in purity.]

[Greater Gods that have peaked in power can now descend in their sacred lands without any problems.]

[Lesser Gods can now descend freely in the mortal realm without any restraints.]

[The divine energy in the world has accumulated greatly.]

[The Age of the Gods have started once again.]

[The requirements for Third Job Class Advancements have decreased due to the abundance of divine energy in the mortal realm.

Numerous world messages appeared before the players which they did not expect as there were just numerous world messages a week or two ago. Factions have just started and now gods that are at the Lesser god power level can now freely roam the world. Previously, Lesser Gods can only roam around the areas where their holy sanctuaries are but now, they can move as if they are mortals. Even Greater Gods that are about to become High Gods can now descend freely in sacred lands.

The sudden change in the divine energy of the world did not just affect the gods but the mortals as well. Numerous demigod level beings started to ascend to godhood as the divine energy in the mortal realm became thicker. The Age of Gods has truly started because the hidden threats veiled in secrets started to come out one after the other.
