Chapter 2687: Fallen God Chiyou I

“Ohoh! You actually dared to extinguish yourself in front of a god of death. Let me show you how futile that is.” King Yama stated as his hands flared up in black flames.

The black flames wrapped around the soul of the Fallen God Izanagi and started to absorb the energy with the latter. The soul that would have exploded and reduced the entire area to nothing is suddenly pacified. The soul of the Fallen God Izanagi eve returned back to normal which made him dumbfounded.

“Impossible!” The Fallen God Izanagi stated in disbelief as he knew that gods of death should not have this kind of power while they are in the mortal realm. He can believe it if they are in the death realms as that is where the gods of death have absolute power but they should be limited in the mortal realm.

“You see. A very smart mediator left a small crack to the underworld in this location. You can say that this very area that you are now is a temporary death realm under my complete control. Enjoy your stay in the underworld as your punishment will be a very long time.” King Yama stated as flaming hands rose from the ground and then dragged the soul of the Fallen God Izanagi to the afterlife.

“There is only one troublesome one remaining but it seems that side is not going to win from the looks of it.” King Yama stated as he changed his gaze to the area where the Fallen God Chiyou is present.

Unlike the others, the Fallen God Chiyou is a god of war and this can be classified as war. He grew more powerful than ever and got boosted even further when the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong passed on energy to him. This made sure that every being that was on his path were all killed. He did not even spare his allies as he started a killing spree in order to become more powerful than ever.

This led to the Fallen God Chiyou being more powerful than the other gods below the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong. Even Kabrakan’s enchanted armor with the power of the Behemoth could no longer withstand the attacks from the Fallen God Chiyou. The evidence of this is having Kabrakan be in a tattered mess despite still standing in the battlefield.

It is not just Kabrakan having a difficult time because Silent Ghost already lost an arm since he was the one hunted by the Fallen God Chiyou first. The area they are in have no trees and only some large boulders which is where Silent Ghost usually hid. The problem is that the Fallen God Chiyou can release energy palm and energy fist attacks that reduce such boulders to dust.

In the end, Silent Ghost could no longer silently hide his presence and is even captured once. This led to him losing his dominant hand in firing off his gun. Silent Ghost had to transform his gun into a smaller one that can be held with just one hand. Silent Ghost already drank a potion that can regenerate his arm but it seems that the Fallen God Chiyou’s attacks have a special property that slows down any type of healing.

If Silent Ghost lost an arm, Arsenal is not in a good spot as well. He is now down to his last two soulbounds while being heavily injured. The attacks of the Fallen God Chiyou can also create a powerful vibrating shockwave that pierces through the insides of one’s body. His living armor soulbound already shattered and died because he got hit five times. The only reason he is alive right now is the fact that Kabrakan transferred most of the damage to him.

The one who is at the worst state of them all is Apolaki. He could be seen bruised up in all parts of his body while he struggled to even stand up. He is the one who mainly attacked the Fallen God Chiyou and could not keep up with the new movement of the fallen god before him. He managed to exchange some blows but those were not deep enough to kill the Fallen God Chiyou.

“I have had my fun. It is now time for me to end you all. I have become bored at how weak all of you have become. This was more exciting when I had a weaker vessel compared to what I have now. Know that you at least made it fun for me.” The Fallen God Chiyou stated as he indeed only lost 20% of his health while Kabrakan and the rest are all down to 30% or less.

The Fallen God Chiyou started to gather energy to his fist and sent a powerful energy projection of it sweeping towards Kabrakan and the others. Kabrakan stepped up even if his body is already battered and raised his two shields. His armor might be destroyed but his two shields are still sturdy enough to continue in defending his allies. He will never give up in defending his allies until he still has life in him.

Just as the fist is about to destroy everything in its path along with Kabrakan and the others, a golden shield made up of dharma runes appeared before them. The shield managed to defend against the attack of the Fallen God Chiyou but it also got destroyed in the process. Before they could see who defended them, a seductive voice echoed in the area and blue flames in the form of foxes charged towards the Fallen God Chiyou.

The flaming foxes managed to get the attention of the Fallen God Chiyou but he easily destroyed all of them just by the force of clapping his hands. The powerful shockwave that his hands produced also became an attack that will hit Kabrakan and the others but an Oni masked individual suddenly appeared. This oni masked individual then clapped both his hands as well to create the same powerful shockwave that the Fallen God Chiyou used.

“To think that you came to see me, disciple.” The Fallen God Chiyou stated as the ones that came were none other than Tai, Vixen, and Tama.

“I came to kill you, master.” Tai stated as he charged towards the Fallen God Chiyou.

The two suddenly started their martial exchange where both of them exactly knew what the other one will do. The moves that both of them used were similar in any aspect which is why they easily evaded each other’s killing strike. Still, if this continued then it would be Tai that will be in the losing end because he is against a Greater God after all.

“You have grown, disciple. Is it the rage of knowing our true intentions giving you this power?” The Fallen God Chiyou stated as he knew that the look that Tai gave him is something only shown to those that have betrayed you.

Just as the Fallen God Chiyou stated, Tai, Vixen, and Tama learned and accepted that they were all raised to be vessels by the fallen gods. It seems that they were never really taught and trained to be this powerful just because they wanted disciples. All of the affection they were given was all calculated and thought through to make sure that the compatibility between the bodies would be at maximum.

The Fallen God Chiyou’s words managed to shake Tai’s resolve as the latter is actually not yet fully convinced. Tai is already convinced that he was trained to become the vessel of the Fallen God Chiyou but he still held a slight bit of hope that it was not true. Only when it finally came from the mouth of the one that he called master did he finally erased all traces of hope. When all of his hope vanished, the only thing that is left in Tai is rage.

Anger filled the body of Tai which made the Fallen God Chiyou smirk. In battle between martial artists, the one that cannot control his emotions would always become the loser. In this case, Tai suddenly fell off the rhythm and was a step to late to evade the incoming fist from the Fallen God Chiyou. Just as the fist of the Fallen God Chiyou is about to reach for Tai’s head, a golden barrier appeared to protect him.

The golden barrier cracked under the power of the fist but it was enough to wake Tai up from being consumed by his anger. The Fallen God Chiyou is about to launch a follow up attack but pale blue flames erupted from under him which blinded his sight temporarily. The mystical flames did not do much damage to the Fallen God Chiyou but it was enough to distract him.

When the Fallen God Chiyou regained his sight, Tai is no longer just a few steps from him. It seems that his disciple gained some distance in order to collect himself. Tai managed to collect himself as quick as possible and his gaze turned sharp as it is now determined to kill his master.
