Chapter 2688: Fallen God Chiyou II

Chapter 2688: Fallen God Chiyou II

“What is happening right now?!” Kabrakan stated as he did not know why Tai is now attacking their faction leader.

They were informed that some of the players from the eastern continent were under the Kami organization and are being led by three players. The three players were none other than Tai, Vixen, and Tama. Each of them is powerful in their own right as they each have their playstyles that support each other well.

“We are not helping you. We are just settling grudges that should have been settled long ago. If I were you, all of you should just retreat and let us handle the Fallen God Chiyou. Helping you earlier was merely an exchange for all of you to leave us alone.” Tama stated calmly as he created barriers that protected Tai as the latter’s exchanges with the Fallen God Chiyou started once again.

“The little runt is rather cocky.” Apolaki stated as he finally managed to stand up on his own as his injuries started to heal better after being out of combat for quite some time.

“Who are you calling little?!” Tama shouted as he never liked it when someone calls him little as this is one thing that he is very sensitive about.

Tama is actually already in his twenties but his height is rather on the small side and he is often teased about it. He would have attacked Apolaki for saying such things to him but the battle against the Fallen God Chiyou took priority. He cannot fail Tai or else he might get killed easily by the Fallen God Chiyou. Going against a god of war takes more than just individual skill as these gods are literal warriors that can destroy their enemies if they show one weakness.

Currently, Tai is in equal footing with the Fallen God Chiyou due to the fact that he is supported by Vixen and Tama. Vixen would use her mystic magic in finding gaps and even giving Tai a breather if he is pressed. Tama is the one defending him from the attacks of the Fallen God Chiyou. His special barriers might break but it gives enough time for Tai to reposition himself and also not get killed instantly.

“We can help you.” Arsenal spoke up but Tama looked at him with disappointment.

“Appreciate the concern but you should help yourselves first. It is clear that all of you are not in fighting condition.” Tama stated as he once again created a barrier around all of them that protected them from the shockwave of the Fallen God Chiyou’s attacks.

Tama might have said it in a straightforward manner but he is correct. Kabrakan’s team is in no shape to even fight anymore. It is actually quite a feat that they are still alive despite the fact that they took on a fully powered God of War. No one will say that they are useless because they managed to tire out the Fallen God Chiyou.

The Fallen God Chiyou might now show it but he spent quite a great deal of divine energy when fighting against Kabrakan and the others. When the constant supply of energy was cut off from the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong, the Fallen God Chiyou had to rely on his overpowered state to battle against Kabrakan and the others. In fact, Kabrakan and the others might have a chance to win if the Fallen God Chiyou was not being empowered at the early stages of their battle.

“We will catch our breaths first. We will join the battle once we recover a little.” Kabrakan stated as he drank some potions to recover the health that he lost.

“You have grown stronger, my disciple.” The Fallen God Chiyou stated which made Tai’s eye twitch as he never felt being called disciple has suddenly become disgusting to his ears.

Tai did not even bother to reply as he empowered his fists to release a punch towards the Fallen God Chiyou. The Fallen God Chiyou easily matched the power of Tai’s fists and both attacks cancelled each other in the end. Tai might look like he is not having a difficult time but that is the opposite. Tai is currently wary of his stamina as he lost 40% of it with just the initial fight against the Fallen God Chiyou.

The Fallen God Chiyou, on the other hand, looked like he is not tired at all. The Fallen God Chiyou might not look like he is struggling but his divine energy is now cut by half. The reason he is not killing his disciple with all that he has got is due to the fact that he felt a presence watching over him. It is a gaze filled with killing intent but he does not know where it is coming from.

The Fallen God Chiyou is making sure to only use minimal divine energy against his disciple and his companions. He would only go all out once he learns and sees who is the owner of that gaze filled with bloodlust. The gaze was faint but the Fallen God Chiyou’s instincts flared up as he knew that this one might be the level of a god. He would not feel threatened if it was just ordinary mortals like the ones attacking him now.

“Oni Club!” Tai muttered as his aura suddenly became more pronounced and fiercer.

A large club made of dark energy came out from inside of Tai’s own body. He then fused the oni club with the armguards that were made from the fang of the White Tiger of the West. This made his already deadly oni club to become sturdier and also hit harder. Without even wasting any breath, Tai leapt across the battlefield and appeared next to the Fallen God Chiyou in an instant.

The Fallen God Chiyou knew how deadly Tai’s oni club is and its special properties. It is one of the reasons why he even dared to take someone from the oni race as his vessel in the first place. A racial magic that is specific only to them as they are a descendant of a once banished Daemos and a Dokkaebi Queen. It is an innate soul weapon that could deal damage even to gods which is why they were almost wiped out back then.

The Fallen God Chiyou did not want to even dare to have his body touch the oni club as he knew that it will hurt. He already tried sparring with Tai equipped with the oni club back then and it hurt his divine soul trapped in a mortal body. This is a weapon designed to defeat enemies with indestructible bodies as it is a weapon that targets the soul.

The Fallen God Chiyou is about to jump to evade but Vixen did not let him. Vixen’s tails suddenly turned into mystical flames and latched onto the body of the Fallen God Chiyou. She would have been dragged upwards since she is not as powerful as the Fallen God Chiyou but Tama supported her by creating barrier that rooted her to the ground.

“TCH! LET GO, VILE WOMAN!” The Fallen God Chiyou shouted as he struggled against the flaming tails and ultimately had to resort to attacking them.

Vixen winced in pain as her tails got damaged as it is connected to her body even if it took on the form of mystical blue flames. She endured the pain though as she already knew that everything will be over as long as Tai lands a hit. The Fallen God Chiyou could be seen in a rather panicked state which is not typical for a god of war but the reason is just an inch before him.

Tai’s oni club suddenly appeared just in front of the Fallen God Chiyou’s face. The Fallen God Chiyou had to stop dealing with the tails rooting him in place and had to block the oni club with his arms. Tai did not even hesitate as he poured in more of his own energy when he knew that his attack would connect. The oni club met with the Fallen God Chiyou arms and a loud cracking sound could be heard followed up by a painful scream.

“ARRGHH!” The Fallen God Chiyou screamed as the attack actually bypassed his aura barriers which would have protected him quite a bit.

The Fallen God Chiyou got sent crashing to the ground with his arms in a crushed state. The Fallen God Chiyou is still a god though which meant that he could use divine energy to fix his broken arms. He did just that but the pain and the damage he received is still there. The Fallen God Chiyou is about to stand up when he suddenly felt the ground itself swallowing him whole.

“Finally, I thought I would never have the chance.” A ferocious voice came out of the ground itself as the jaws of a large white tiger manifested on the crater where the Fallen God Chiyou.
