Adrian expected that notifications will trigger when he killed Chiyou but not that much. The number of notifications far exceeded what he thought would trigger. He actually forgot that he just killed a god because he still thought that Chiyou was in his demigod form. He was more focused on the Samadhi True Fire than what Chiyou’s current form was.
“Strange?! Where did his soul go?!” Adrian stated in shock as he wanted to personally send Chiyou’s soul to the afterlife, but he could not find it.
Souls of beings that Adrian killed should be around him as he has a powerful force that draws in souls to him. This is true for all types of souls, and it does not discriminate. Chiyou’s soul should have been near where his body is but there was no sign of it. Adrian feared that something is amiss which is why he immediately inspected the Samadhi True Fire.
“There are no traces that the Samadhi True Fire consumed the soul. Granted that his soul was already in the verge of breaking down, it should still be near me unless there is something or someone that has ownership over it.” Adrian stated as he immediately transformed his body to his Netheros Limbo form.
Adrian wanted to check where the soul of the being that died went, and he could trace that path in this form. The only problem with the Netheros Limbo form as he calls it is that he cannot interact with the living. This form is reserved only for dealing with the souls of the dead and he could face dire consequence if he uses it near living beings.
“It is not just his soul that did not get sent to the afterlife or get pulled towards me. All of the souls of the Kami organization members that died are not lingering here. Only the souls of those of the Emei Sect are present. Where have they gone!?” Adrian thought as he immediately released his wings.
Adrian’s wings in his Netheros Limbo form are quite different. In his default Netheros Form, his wings appear as dark black wings made of nether mist with cosmic dust. In his Netheros Limbo Form, the wings were entirely made of nether mist but have numerous eyes floating in them. These eyes are the extension of Adrian’s evil eye as it amplifies it to the highest degree. It lets him trace any form of energy be it from a soul or even a small speck of dust.
As soon as Adrian used all he got in searching for them, he finally saw a clue which only manifested in a thin wisp of smoke coming from the ground. He touched this thin wisp of smoke and immediately felt that this was energy from a soul. The only problem is that the energy signature could be seen seeping from the ground. Something that was sealed deep inside the very earth of the eastern continent has taken on the souls of the Kami organization members.
“The Corrupted Yellow Emperor is not slumbering deep in the ground! It has already been awake this entire time.” Adrian muttered as the ground started to tremble.
[You have figured out that the sleeping primordial beast deep inside the eastern continent is not really asleep.]
[The Corrupted Huanglong has already been awake for centuries and has whispered to the Kami organization using their own Seers.]
[The glorious future where the Seers saw that the Fallen Gods being freed from their restrictions and ruling the eastern continent were all illusions crafted by the Corrupted Huanglong.]
“You have seen through my illusion, demon!” A dark and raspy voice as if it came from the depths of the earth suddenly reverberated inside Adrian’s mind.
Adrian suddenly had a headache as the Corrupted Huanglong launched a powerful psychic attack towards him. If Adrian did not have high willpower and mental fortitude, then he would have been bleeding in all of his orifices by now. Still, he knew that staying in this place would have him be affected by the attacks of the Corrupted Huanglong.
Adrian immediately changed back to his default demon form and grabbed the Samadhi True Fire. He could still hear the voice of the Corrupted Huanglong, but it hurt less than before as he could only hear inaudible whispers. The voice was more prominent in his Netheros Limbo Form, but he is not safe. Without even batting an eye, Adrian recalled all of his soulbounds and teleported out as soon as he secured the soul fragment of Abel.
“Did you really think that escaping from this place would let you be safe from my grasp?” The voice of the Corrupted Huanglong stated as it finally started to move.
The underground area suddenly started to violently shake as the ground beneath cracked. The golden cudgel that was immovable suddenly started to vibrate. The entire underground area collapsed in an instant while a roar full of malevolence escaped from the ground below.
“Need more power.” The dark and raspy voice of the Corrupted Huanglong stated as it released a powerful dragon roar that was heard throughout the eastern continent.

Adrian teleported outside and found that the entire main area of the Emei Sect utterly destroyed. Grand Mistress Nu Wa could be seen looking refreshed as she destroyed a lot of buildings. Dodu could be seen still terrorizing some Emei Sect members. As soon as he appeared in the skies, Grand Mistress Nu Wa flew towards Adrian and greeted him. She expected that the demon was victorious and would be happy, but she found Adrian looking like he had to escape with his life.
Before Grand Mistress Nu Wa could ask, the remaining building which is the main sect building suddenly crumbled. The ground beneath it collapsed which Grand Mistress Nu Wa thought it was Adrian’s doing but he found the demon looking a tad bit afraid. She was about to ask Adrian what happened underground when a piercing dragon roar echoed in the entire area which even she had to close her ears for.
“We have to escape from here! It was faking being asleep this entire time!” Adrian stated as he also recalled Dodu.
Adrian’s warning is legit as even Grand Mistress Nu Wa could feel her own skin crawl. She thought that she forgot who that roar came from, but it was clear that it is from the Corrupted Huanglong. Her mind might have forgotten but her soul clearly remembers the ferocity of the being that once enslaved the entire eastern continent.
“It is still sealed. We might be able to delay it if we work together!” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated but Adrian suddenly saw lights that looked like stars gathering towards the golden cudgel.
“Are those stars, mistress?” One of the attendants asked.
“No. Those are souls of divine beings.” Adrian replied.
Horror suddenly washed up on Adrian’s face as those souls came from the northern direction. This meant that the Corrupted Huanglong is feeding on them. Souls of gods were now being offered directly to it, and this means that any seal would definitely break. Divine energy is not something that can underestimated as it is the energy of gods. This very energy is now being used by a sealed malevolent being to escape from its seal.
“Mediator! You must help me and reinforce the seal now. Use a powerful gravitational force to press down on the entire area.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated, and Adrian nodded.
Even if Adrian did not know the plan would work, he immediately agreed to what ever Grand Mistress Nu Wa demanded. He chugged the most potent mana potion he has in his inventory and flew towards the skies. He looked at the divine souls seeping into the ground and could only observe as they fall towards their doom. He cannot harvest souls that have a Soul Contract with another higher being.
“No time hesitating. Gravity Control: Maximum!” Adrian stated as the entire indicated area suddenly got slammed with increase in gravity.
Grand Mistress Nu Wa reverted to her full Ryujin form which is a serpentine dragon with rainbow scales. She then proceeded to gather all of the natural energy she could as she looked at the area being affected by Adrian’s extreme gravity control. She then called upon the power of the earth to create the Tectonic Seal and even used her draconic tongue to use the spell for maximum power.
“Be sealed for a few more years, corrupted king!” Grand Mistress Nu Wa shouted as the entire forest became a large landslide that gathered in the extreme gravity controlled area.
