Chapter 2598: Samadhi True Fire III

“Chiyou, you have a message from those people above.” The young guard stated but he suddenly saw that Chiyou looked at him with pure bloodlust and charged towards him.

The young guard was about to ask Chiyou what his problem was, but he felt the killing intent behind him. Out of pure instinct, the young guard evaded by immediately swerving his body but something quick sliced through his left arm instead. The young guard screamed in pain as his left arm was severed from his body, and he looked at the Emei Sect practitioner that did it.

“Such a shame. I aimed for the neck though.” Adrian stated as his transformation slowly started to be taken off.

Adrian could be seen wielding an ominous looking scythe that cleanly severed the hand of an Ascendant Immortal. The fact that it pierced through the defenses of a demigod level immortal meant that he used quite a lot of nether energy to make that attack. The young guard could only back off towards Chiyou, but the latter is still going towards Adrian.

“Die Demon!” Chiyou shouted but Sirius came out of Adrian’s shadow with an attempt to bite the head off the former.

Chiyou immediately drew a palm technique which made him create a barrier air in front of him and Sirius. This barrier is shattered but pushed him back and made him land safely towards the Samadhi Tur Fire. Chiyou has yet to fully heal because of his injuries but that does not mean that he cannot fight.

“How did you find this place, demon?” Chiyou asked.

“Since it will be your last day today then I guess it is not difficult to say. I planted a tracking talisman on you and others. It led me back to this place which is very deep underground. I need to complete my revenge against the one who plotted the demise of my friend. I am not going to say that I am doing this for the good of the eastern continent because this is all for my own personal satisfaction.” Adrian stated as his eyes turned pitch black as he uttered the words that would make any divine being shudder.

“Nether Domain.”

As soon as Adrian activated his domain, nether mist suddenly started to envelop everything around them. Even the outside pavilion is wrapped in his nether mist which alerted all of the beings there. One would think that Adrian is being careless when it comes to attacking as he is the only one there, but he already saw through the power levels of al the beings there.

“Let the cleansing begin. All of you have built up quite a bit of negative karma. Rampage to your heart’s desire, my soulbounds.” Adrian stated as he released all of his soulbounds to destroy everything around them including the ones trying to aid Chiyou.

Chiyou suddenly felt fear in his veins as he could feel the hand of death closing in to grab him. He believed that he will just reincarnate when he gets killed but he has this terrible premonition that it will not be the case with the demon here. He feels like the demon before him would drag their souls to a place far more heinous than what they call the mortal realm.

Chiyou is on guard and actually stayed near the Samadhi True Fire as it was the only thing that shone bright despite the thick nether mist. He believed that he would also be safer near it as it is the only thing around them that is not affected by the domain. Chiyou suddenly heard the scream of the young guard that had his arm sliced off. It was a quick scream before he heard a thud, and he already knew that the young guard has been killed.

“Where is he?” Chiyou muttered as he could feel the presence of the demon.

He felt the presence of all the soulbounds that the demon released but none of those paid him any attention. The monsters that the demon summoned were all wreaking havoc on the places around him. They were effectively stopping other Ascendant Immortals from giving aid to Chiyou as he has never heard voices of others closing in on his location.

Chiyou knew that he might face death in his weakened state which is why he pushed his body to the limits. He once again drew a Taichi symbol on the ground using internal energy and molded it into a protective barrier that would not let the nether mist enter his area. He felt the repulsion of energy as he found it difficult to use the energy around him which made him use his own internal energy.

“If I cannot use the energy around me then I shall use the power of the Samadhi True Fire! Do not think that I cannot use it, demon! I have been the only one that managed to control a portion of its limitless energy.” Chiyou stated as he then looked towards the Samadhi True Fire and directed his hand motions to it.

As soon as Chiyou used the Samadhi True Fire, the amount of energy around him practically tripled and the flames coated his armguards. Purple flames could now be seen snaking across the two arms of Adrian’s enemy, but he did not falter. Adrian observed as he wanted to see if the enemy in front of him would fight or escape.

Seeing that Chiyou chose to fight, Adrian immediately knew that his enemies have no way of escaping. They were all trapped here with him, and he can go on a rampage as much as he like. A powerful desire of vengeance sparked in him which he did not expect but he could feel that the Goddess of Vengeance was smiling at this very moment.

“Dark Matter!” Adrian stated as he released a blast of negative energy towards Chiyou to see how it interacts with the Samadhi True Fire. The Samadhi True Fire actually burned away the dark matter that Adrian released which is a first since it is usually a skill that is unescapable.
