Official Career Storm
Chapter 1870
Chapter 1870: Chapter 1870
Jiang Yiren had already braced herself to be turned down by Song Guanchao; every time she asked him to dinner, it was like pulling teeth.
She knew Song Guanchao was busy, but it couldn’t be that he was busy every single time, with literally no time at all, right?
She watched him about to refuse, then suddenly change his tune, and curled her lips.
It was definitely not giving her face, even less giving her dad face; most likely he just happened to need something and wanted to ask her dad for help.
This guy was really realistic.
"Tonight then, I’ll send you the address."
"Okay." Song Guanchao nodded, went back to his office, and called Wu Qiangwei.
He told her he had a dinner meeting that evening, he’d try to finish early and then go see her.
Wu Qiangwei told him to focus on his own business and not rush too much.
That night, when Song Guanchao arrived at the restaurant and pushed open the private room door, he saw a mature, gentle silhouette—Yu Susu.
She heard the sound and turned her head to look over.
She first stared behind him for a few seconds, confirmed he was alone, then walked over and very naturally helped him take off his coat and hung it on the rack.
"Jiang Zhengdong has something to deal with, he’ll come over in a bit." Yu Susu turned back to look at him, her gaze slightly plaintive, making Song Guanchao feel distinctly ill at ease.
"Yiren isn’t here yet?" Song Guanchao avoided her eyes and sat down on the sofa.
"She went home to change." Yu Susu sat down close to him, a faint fragrance drifting into his nose; Song Guanchao’s mind started to wander and he couldn’t help feeling a little worked up.
Tonight Yu Susu was wearing a soft, gentle beige fishtail dress; her slim, shapely calves wrapped in flesh-colored stockings, with a smooth satin long-sleeve blouse on top, her hair done up, mature and dignified.
This gentle, practiced yet mature aura and outfit easily aroused a man’s animal desire, the urge to tear it all off violently.
As if sensing that his gaze kept darting over her body, Yu Susu deliberately leaned closer to him, her delicate shoulder looking as if it had no bones.
She placed her hand on his thigh, lifted her chin, and just looked at him with those pitch-black pupils.
Song Guanchao’s heartbeat sped up; instinctively, he slipped an arm around her waist, their bodies suddenly pressing closer together.
The charged atmosphere spread wantonly; the two of them grew hotter, their breaths gradually turning rough.
Until Yu Susu took the initiative to bring her scented lips up to his, pressing them to his mouth.
Before Song Guanchao could move, he felt her tongue slip in, teasingly circling around inside his mouth.
He quickly pressed down on her shoulder, breathing heavily as he said, "People are going to show up in a bit."
At least look at the situation—dinner hadn’t even started. If Jiang Yiren or Jiang Zhengdong walked in and caught them like this, how were they supposed to face each other afterward?
Yu Susu’s eyes curved, her gaze flicking toward the door as she breathed warm air by his ear: "I booked the private room next door too."
The vein at Song Guanchao’s temple twitched. Just how starved was she, that she couldn’t even wait?
She’d even gone ahead and reserved two private rooms for this.
As if reading what was in his eyes, a blush crept across Yu Susu’s cheeks.
How was any of this supposed to be her fault?
The last time had been before the New Year.
And anyway, how many times had there even been between them?
And last time, she’d already noticed that Song Guanchao was deliberately keeping his distance from her, as if having this kind of relationship with her made him uncomfortable.
The thing was, she wasn’t some casual woman who’d throw herself at any man she ran into.
But she was still a woman, with physical needs that had to be dealt with somehow.
The more Yu Susu thought about it, the more sorry for herself she felt, letting out a soft sigh.
Seeing her expression, Song Guanchao felt a bit guilty too, and said, "I’m just worried you’ll end up stuck halfway later."
Yu Susu let out a soft laugh. "Halfway is better than holding it in all the time. You’re always so busy, and I have no reason to ask you out; I can only piggyback off Jiang Zhengdong’s name to get a chance to see you."
Her words made Song Guanchao feel even more ashamed. "Things really have been hectic lately. After the New Year, my boss dumped a ton of work on me... Forget it, never mind that, let’s go over first."
"I’m not going." Yu Susu started to sulk, turning her head away from him.
"You got me all worked up and now you’re not going? No way."
Song Guanchao pulled her into his arms, and started groping and rubbing over her clothes and pants. Yu Susu’s body heated up under his touch, her reaction surprisingly intense, even letting out soft moans.
"If you’re not going, then we’ll stay right here. Let’s hope they come late, and pray they don’t catch us." Song Guanchao said deliberately.
His words worked like magic; Yu Susu bit her lip and gave a little snort, pushed his hand away, grabbed her bag, and headed out.
Song Guanchao chuckled and followed.
The two of them slipped into the private room next door one after the other, locked the door, left the lights off, and wrapped themselves around each other.
As soon as they were in each other’s arms, Yu Susu kissed him again, her body’s reaction startlingly intense.
Song Guanchao lifted her skirt, scooped up her thigh, and sat her down on the dining table.
...
Jiang Zhengdong got out of the car and glanced at the time. Luckily, he wasn’t late. He wondered if Song Guanchao had arrived yet.
He walked into the private room, found it empty, and was about to call Yu Susu.
Suddenly, he noticed there were two teacups on the coffee table.
Just then, the door opened, and Jiang Yiren—who had specially gone home to change—walked in.
"Dad, it’s just you?" Jiang Yiren asked.
"I just got here too." Jiang Zhengdong said. "They should already be here. Look, there are two teacups."
Jiang Yiren let out an "oh," then flopped down on the sofa. Her long legs wrapped in dark denim had nowhere to go.
She turned slightly to the side, making the round, full curve of her butt and thighs even more pronounced.
Jiang Zhengdong said, "Why did you come in jeans?"
They were hosting Song Guanchao; this counted as a proper occasion. Jeans really weren’t appropriate.
If Song Guanchao got the impression that their family didn’t value him, what then?
Jiang Yiren pouted. "He likes me in jeans."
Jiang Zhengdong froze for a second, then frowned. "What’s going on between you two?"
Though he was eager to curry favor with Song Guanchao, he didn’t want his daughter entangled with him.
"I’m chasing him." Jiang Yiren said outright.
"You’re chasing him?" Jiang Zhengdong was a bit dumbfounded.
"Yeah." Jiang Yiren said, sounding a little dejected. "He’s really hard to chase. It’s been this long and I still haven’t gotten him."
"You’re chasing him and still haven’t caught him?" Jiang Zhengdong was even more stunned. His daughter had a top-notch education and outstanding looks.
It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that when she took the initiative, men basically couldn’t resist.
Back in the day quite a few elite men had pursued her, but she was picky and hadn’t liked any of them.
To put it crudely, if Jiang Zhengdong were willing to ’sell’ his daughter, he’d have his pick of rich second-gens and official second-gens.
After all, the Jiang Family themselves weren’t exactly lacking.
But right now, he really couldn’t figure it out.
Song Guanchao was young, with limitless prospects, and an extremely outstanding man.
But no matter how outstanding, he was still a man.
And men liked beautiful women.
Yet he could actually resist his daughter’s active pursuit.
Beyond shocked, Jiang Zhengdong felt he ought to adjust his evaluation of Song Guanchao upward yet again.
To be so strictly self-disciplined, to withstand human weakness—that was definitely not something an ordinary person could do.
Originally he hadn’t wanted Jiang Yiren to get too close to Song Guanchao, but now he felt that if his daughter could end up with him, it might actually be a pretty good choice.
