Chapter 7268 Leaving

Long Chen’s astral energy erupted, and a giant hand covered the sky. The next moment, however, he was shocked to see that his astral hand was unable to stop the three medicinal pills!

Somewhere in the distance, Cang Lu had just swung the Bloodfiend Halberd at another pill. With an explosive sound, Cang Lu was blown back, but the pill was also forced back, giving Long Chen enough time to catch up, grab it, and send it straight to the primal chaos space.

The third pill had already escaped the range of the heavenly tribulation. As a result, multiple half-step Heavenly Sovereigns from among the outsider devils tried to grab it, only to be directly blown apart. In front of this pill, they put up about as much resistance as a piece of paper in front of a sharp knife.

Just as it blew through their enclosure and absorbed their blood mist, the pill cracked open and a terrifying aura rose. Long Chen saw it transform into a winged lifeform with a long tail. Runes swirled on top of its wings, and the outsider devils in its path were blown apart.

Long Chen’s pupils shrank. This pill was on a higher level than anything he had ever created and beyond anything he had expected. It had sentience the moment it was born, and now that it absorbed this devil blood, it directly transformed.

In other words, this pill had completed its evolution into a pill spirit, and right now, it could be likened to Huo Linger and Lei Linger in that it was a spiritual body of sorts.

The difference between it and Lei Linger and Huo Linger was that the latter had been born of and constantly nourished by heaven and earth, while the pill was artificial and limited by the ingredients that had gone into it. Even if it somehow started cultivating, it would be next to impossible for it to break through this limitation. Moreover, although this pill’s aura was outright terrifying, that was because it contained the Grand Dao essence of a Heavenly Sovereign. Once this essence was used up, it would collapse.

The pill spirit was merrily butchering the outsider devils, but the moment the bone claw appeared, it instantly froze. Upon contact with the claw, it put up no resistance whatsoever; it merely shivered slightly and then its devilish form disappeared, and it returned into the form of a pill.

A few moments later, an astonished voice rang out through the void. “This pill... It can help someone break through a Grand Dao bottleneck! Damn it, it can’t be used by anyone from our side...”

The delight that could be initially felt from the voice instantly turned into fury. “An alchemist from the nine heavens has entered our devil world! Mobilize all our forces, find them at all costs!”

Long Chen used the Star Cloud Steps seven times. Even with his current power, using it this many times to carry this many people left him as pale as paper.

“Lord Long Chen, are you alright?!” Uncle Fu rushed over along with the rest of the Earth Barbarians. They didn’t know why Long Chen would suddenly flee with them.

Long Chen waved his hand, showing that he was fine. He had rushed off in such a panic because he had sensed the aura of a Heavenly Sovereign!

It was actually a good thing that one pill had escaped. It had drawn the attention of that Heavenly Sovereign, buying them time to escape. Otherwise, he might have been able to escape, but the Earth Barbarian race would not have been so lucky.

These people were definitely different from the outsider devils he had encountered at the core of this region; their cultivation was certainly not in name only.
