A day had passed since Danzou's downfall.

The Hokage building was still in an irreparable state for the time being, and with everything in such a condition, Tsunade had to assign teams to search through the rubble and recover every document that could still be found, storing them somewhere safe and forbidding any unauthorized person from approaching the site.

Because of this, she had to temporarily move her office to the Senju Clan compound, using the largest house there. It was the very residence where the First Hokage had lived with Mito and raised his children within the clan.

The clan still retained most of its land within the village, even though there was currently only a single surviving member.

The clan compound was still completely maintained. That place had always been preserved. Even when Tsunade was not yet Hokage and had spent years living away from the Village, neither the elders nor the former Hokage had dared to interfere with the Senju Clan's properties, not while Tsunade was still alive and remained the heir to that place.

In any case, Tsunade was now buried under countless documents related to Root. The moment Danzou was captured and the organization's members were defeated, Naruto and Kakashi quickly began entering Root's bases and collecting every document they could find. So the sight of Tsunade sitting before an enormous pile of reports, contract documents, letters, and even statements was nothing unusual at that moment. She had woken up early that day specifically to start going through all of it, despite being tired after having dinner with Naruto the night before. What had made her so tired was that she had stayed awake alone until late after Naruto left.

Someone knocked on the door, and Tsunade already knew who it was. Shikaku Nara entered the room, with his son Shikamaru coming in right behind him.

"Lady Tsunade." The two bowed respectfully before the Hokage.

"Thank you for coming so soon after I summoned you... I called you here because I need help analyzing these documents. Shizune and the others are also reading through some of them, but there's far too much here, so I need your mind and your time as well, Lord Nara," Tsunade requested.

Shikaku immediately nodded. "I'll do everything I can to help, Lady Hokage."

Tsunade nodded, grateful for the help, before picking up two storage scrolls containing the documents and tossing them directly to Shikaku, who caught them and tucked them away. "You may go."

The two nodded once more and turned their backs, making their way through the Senju property until they reached the exit. Although the place appeared practically deserted, they knew that wasn't really the case, several ANBU were scattered throughout the area at that moment, keeping the entire property under surveillance while Tsunade remained there working.

Shikamaru said nothing at first, but many questions were running through his mind and, when they finally left the property and started heading toward the Nara Clan, he could no longer hold himself back and let out a long sigh.

Shikaku immediately looked at his son. "If you have something to say, say it."

"Ah, nothing much... It's just that the world has gotten kind of crazy these past two days," Shikamaru grumbled.

He had planned to visit Kurenai, who was still pregnant, along with the others that day, but because of everything that had happened yesterday, there was no longer any way to do that. His father had also been called to fulfill a request from the Hokage that morning, and now the two of them would probably spend a good part of the rest of the day analyzing documents and looking for crimes committed by Root under Danzou's leadership. From what Shikamaru had already heard about everything that was quickly beginning to spread throughout the Village, there certainly wouldn't be only a few.

The very existence of a shadowy force within Konoha was already a surprise, an organization that carried out missions that not even the ANBU could normally undertake. Shikamaru could already imagine the kind of things they would find in those scrolls: clandestine missions, murders of entire families, experiments involving children, inhumane training, and probably many other things that should never normally be made public within the Village itself.

"You're only like this because you wanted to see Naruto," Shikaku said to his son.

"Who doesn't want to see him right now and ask questions? One day he shows up completely different, red hair, a slightly different personality, but much more confident. I thought it was just his appearance, but after what we saw yesterday... Damn, hasn't he already far surpassed what he used to be?" Shikamaru grumbled, unable to keep himself from remembering when he had arrived at the battlefield alongside many other Konoha ninja.

He saw Naruto fighting in that golden form, creating chains from his back and destroying Danzou several times, while the man simply died and returned through some jutsu that Shikamaru still couldn't understand. It was clearly some confidential information that the Hokage wouldn't reveal, probably some kind of forbidden jutsu, but obviously all of that caught the attention of the entire Village and, since then, Naruto had become one of the main topics throughout Konoha.

"I heard a few things this morning," Shikamaru began speaking again. "They said they saw the Nine-Tailed Fox yesterday, like what happened sixteen years ago. So that's why everyone used to stay away from Naruto, isn't it?"

Shikamaru had a lot to think about from yesterday to today. He currently considered Naruto a dear friend, but it hadn't always been that way. At the Academy, when they first met, although Shikamaru had never developed a friendship with Naruto as strong as the one he had with Chōji, he still talked to him and had already noticed that the boy was shunned by practically everyone.

No one liked being near him, and some adults even called him the Demon Fox whenever they had the chance. Shikamaru had never understood that, even though it was obvious... and he had even asked his father a few questions when he was younger, mainly because Shikaku had never shown the same hostility as the other adults, especially the parents of civilian children.

Now he finally understood. When that enormous golden Fox appeared over Konoha the previous day, Shikamaru could see the terror in the eyes of many of the older ninja.

But Shikamaru also knew that Naruto could control it. He had used that form only to strike Danzou at one point before making it disappear, but those few seconds were enough to cause a storm of questions throughout the village. The Hokage had to gather the people and publicly explain part of the situation, especially that Naruto now had control over Kurama's chakra. It was no wonder that not only Naruto, but also Sai, Sakura, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Kakashi, and Yamato had been enveloped by the fox's chakra as well, although unlike Naruto, theirs had been red during the battle.

From last night until that morning, Naruto had become an even greater topic of discussion than the crimes committed by one of the Village's high-ranking elders.

"Whatever happened to Naruto," Shikaku said this time, "I believe it's something good. There has never been a jinchūriki in our village who could completely control the Nine-Tailed Fox. Naruto is the first." He remained silent for a few seconds before continuing. "And not only that. He's not just the strongest of his generation anymore, the power he possesses now is probably beyond that of any other ninja in the Village at this moment and, from what we saw, he can also share part of that power. If Naruto really can do that on a large scale, Konoha could enter a golden age it hasn't experienced in a very long time, perhaps even greater than during the time of the First Hokage himself."

Shikamaru merely clicked his tongue in response. "This is so troublesome..." was all Shikamaru said in the end, before the two of them returned to the Nara Clan compound.

At the same time, Jiraiya appeared in Tsunade's makeshift office. "This was your grandfather's house, wasn't it?" he asked. Tsunade had never lived in that house, despite currently being the last member of the Senju Clan and having that entire property to herself. She still preferred to remain in the house where she had been born and raised alongside her parents and her brother.

"It's what we have, Jiraiya. What are you doing here? Unless you've finally come to help me instead of running away when I asked for help." Tsunade looked at the man, who immediately gave an awkward smile.

"Sorry, Tsunade, but you know reading reports isn't really my thing," Jiraiya replied. Tsunade could very well have forced him to help, but she didn't, merely clicking her tongue before turning her attention back to the documents in front of her.

"You put on quite a show yesterday. Naruto has been getting talked about a lot since this morning," Jiraiya said, making Tsunade raise an eyebrow. Not everyone had been very pleased with the statement she had made the previous day, when she had to explain that the jinchūriki had returned different and now possessed control over the Nine-Tailed Fox.

Tsunade had to give a speech to clarify part of what had happened, explain the reason for that conflict and, most importantly, why Danzou had been arrested. All of Root had also been placed in ANBU custody, but they still hadn't managed to extract practically any information from its members because of the Fūinjutsu placed on their tongues, which prevented them from speaking as long as Danzou remained alive.

Danzou himself remained in custody and had undergone surgery immediately after his capture to remove his right eye. That had happened the previous day, and Shisui's Sharingan had been destroyed shortly afterward.

That power wasn't something Tsunade and the others intended to keep around for even a minute, and Minato Namikaze from the other world had also advised them to do exactly that, since they couldn't risk allowing an eye with such a dangerous ability to end up in someone else's hands.

In any case, at that moment the Village seemed to be paying far more attention to Naruto. Everyone had seen the gigantic golden Fox appear over Konoha for an instant, and some seemed quite excited about it, especially the people who had already known and accepted Naruto long before that day.

Others, however, spoke about the Nine-Tailed Fox with a certain fear, worried that Naruto might take revenge on the people who had treated him badly for so many years, while some seemed to harbor even more hatred after seeing Kurama again.

There were even people seeking out Homura and Koharu to demand that Naruto be placed in custody, a request so absurd that when Homura went to Tsunade to complain about the situation, he was thrown out after receiving a punch from Tsunade.

How could anyone ask for something like that just after they had discovered that Danzou possessed a jutsu capable of altering Naruto's mind and turning him practically into a tool or slave under his control? And who in this village could fight Naruto and imprison him? Besides, the most powerful ninja in Konoha were on Naruto's side.

In any case, Naruto now had enough power to tell all of them to shut up if he really wanted to, which, as far as Tsunade was concerned, wasn't necessarily a bad thing, since she wouldn't have to keep doing it alone forever. Above all, she was satisfied knowing that Konoha had just gained a force it had never possessed before.

"Many people are also asking about the chakra we used yesterday," Jiraiya said.

Tsunade nodded, knowing very well that it would also end up drawing far too much attention. The chakra that had saved Kakashi at the last second proved to be much more than simple protection, functioning as an enormous multiplier of strength for all of them. During that battle, they had managed to reach levels of speed, endurance, and raw power they normally wouldn't have, but while they were enveloped by that chakra, all of it had become possible. Not to mention the amount of chakra, which was already absurd. Kakashi, for example, had about four times more chakra. Tsunade herself had experienced a 50% increase in her chakra reserves with the red chakra cloak...

Jiraiya remained silent for a few seconds before looking at Tsunade more carefully. "If he really can do that with dozens of ninja, hundreds, or even the entire Village, Konoha will enter a new era," he couldn't help but murmur.

No other Village would dare go to war with Konoha knowing that Naruto could share the power of the Nine-Tails with all of its ninja. Even those people who still resented the fox inside Naruto would have no choice but to lower their heads, after all, the same people who hated the Nine-Tailed Fox would be protected by it and would probably cry out for its power when they needed it.

"Yes, this was an unimaginable gain for Konoha," Tsunade had to admit, but her eyes soon became somewhat vacant as she seemed to stare at nothing.

Jiraiya immediately noticed that change. "You seem a little shaken. You and Naruto talked about that other world last night, didn't you?" he asked, making Tsunade finally look at him.

"Did he tell you?"

"Not necessarily, but he gave me a few hints, and it's also pretty obvious when you invite him to dinner right after everything we discovered."

"I needed to talk to him about Konoha's future, Jiraiya," Tsunade replied, but the Sannin merely gave her a knowing smile.

"Ah, yes, of course. As if you spent the entire night just talking about Konoha's future with a sixteen-year-old teenager. Naruto is absurdly powerful now, surpassing all of us, but he's still not used to all that responsibility. I know you wanted to talk about that other world, you just didn't want to do it in front of anyone."

Tsunade merely sighed. "Yes," she admitted, as her eyes once again lost focus, not really looking at anything inside that room. "Did you know that my brother was saved in that world by Minato?"

"Naruto said something about that..." Jiraiya said.

"My brother was supposed to have the same fate. He nearly died on the battlefield while under Orochimaru's supervision, but Minato seemed to already know that it would happen. He had given Nawaki a special kunai bearing the Hiraishin mark in the middle of the war and, when my brother fell into a trap, he managed to activate the seal. Minato appeared and managed to save him, although Nawaki lost an arm." Tsunade remained silent for a few seconds before continuing.

"Later, the Tsunade from that world, together with her daughter, managed to create a new arm for him in the same way Danzou got his, using my grandfather's cells, but you probably already know that part. But did you know that Minato himself was the one who gave them that idea... As if..."

"As if he already knew about Danzou and the Mokuton arm itself..." Jiraiya said. There was so much mystery surrounding that Minato, and they knew they would never have their answers...

"Well, anyway... I imagine that must have been much more pleasant for the Tsunade of that world," Jiraiya said with a sigh.

Between the lines, he was telling Tsunade not to become too attached to a world they didn't live in. Unfortunately, things had happened differently there, and they needed to continue living with the consequences of that reality. Tsunade understood perfectly what he meant and slowly nodded.

"I know," she replied. "I just wanted to know how they're doing there. Especially... I wanted to know more about Tsuna, my possible daughter. I wanted to know what she's like." Tsunade couldn't help but murmur those last words, imagining what it would be like to meet that girl, but in this world, all she could do was dream about that possibility.
