Naruto looked at Kurama with curiosity and asked, "Why do you seem so afraid of Riku?"

Kurama lay on the ground, eyes closed, and replied, "I’m not afraid. It’s just... that guy is really powerful. In the shinobi world, there’s no one who can defeat him. Even if you mastered all of my power, you wouldn’t stand a chance against him."

Naruto laughed. "I’ve never even thought about beating Riku. I know I’m not his match."

Kurama didn’t respond.

Still, Naruto couldn’t help but worry about Sora.

Looking toward Riku, he asked, "Is Sora going to be okay?"

Riku stood at the window, watching the distant fluctuations of chakra. The source was only a few kilometers away, completely within his perception range. He had already sensed everything.

At that moment, Sora’s chakra was skyrocketing—but dangerously unstable. It had to be because of the Nine Tails’ chakra.

"His chakra is highly unstable. I’m afraid the Nine Tails’ chakra in his body is about to go berserk," Riku said calmly. "But Yamato is already on his way."

Yamato, with his mastery of Wood Style, had the power to suppress Tailed Beast chakra. Still, without the sealing talisman Riku had provided, the burden would be significant.

Naruto, clearly anxious, turned to Tsunade, who sat behind the desk. "Grandma Tsunade, I want to go check on him."

Tsunade paused for a moment, then said, "Alright. But remember—don’t go near him."

Naruto nodded.

Sakura looked at Riku and added, "Master, I’ll go too."

Tsunade looked around at the others in the Hokage’s office. "Go," she said simply.

The rest had already been itching to leave—she granted permission, and they immediately set off.

Almost all of the Konoha 12 were present—except for Sasuke.

Kakashi, meanwhile, had already gone ahead with Yamato.

Within moments, only Tsunade and Riku remained in the Hokage’s office.

Tsunade stood beside him, eyes focused on the rising plume of smoke and chakra-infused dust far in the distance. With worry lacing her voice, she asked, "Is it starting? Why haven’t those people made their move yet?"

Riku’s expression remained calm. "Wait," he said.

He had already sensed them.

At that moment, Yamato, Kakashi, Asuma, and a squad of ANBU were rushing toward Sora’s location.

Three ANBU operatives were struggling to contain the situation.

Sora had already transformed into a partial tailed beast—reaching Three Tails.

At that level, the three ANBU couldn’t possibly stop him head-on. All they could do was release ninjutsu or throw shuriken from a distance.

Just as the lead ANBU Jōnin prepared to sacrifice himself in a final, suicidal blow to take Sora down, an unexpected attack came from the forest.

A figure—Kazuma—struck from the shadows.

The ANBU Jōnin was run through the chest with a cane-like weapon.

He had taken the brunt of Sora’s earlier attacks and endured the pressure far longer than the two ANBU Chūnin with him. His chakra was nearly depleted. Now, with one final burst, he had intended to drag Sora down with him—even if it meant his life.

But he hadn’t expected betrayal.

Kazuma had once been an elite Jōnin—on par with someone like Asuma. The ANBU Jōnin, now exhausted, stood no chance.

The strike was clean. Fatal.

As he collapsed, he turned to his two subordinates and shouted with his last breath, "Run!"

The two Chūnin, wielding long blades, wanted to rush at Kazuma—but his command held them back.

Clenching their teeth, they turned and sprinted toward Konoha.

Kazuma yanked the bloodstained cane free from the dying ANBU’s chest, sneering.

"Foolish man. You actually swore loyalty to that ridiculous woman."

Without even sparing another glance at the fallen Jōnin, Kazuma turned toward Sora—now unconscious but pulsing with unstable power.

Though Sora’s consciousness was fading, he still recognized Kazuma.

He didn’t attack.

Taking advantage of the moment, Kazuma approached him.

"The people who caused your father’s death were from Konoha. It was them. They killed your father and cast you out."

"Now, I’ll release your true power. Then you can finally have your revenge."

He held out his hand, each finger radiating a different element—wind, fire, earth, lightning, and water.

This was the Five Elements Seal—a technique once used by Jiraiya and Orochimaru.

It wasn’t a particularly complex seal, and Kazuma had long since mastered it.

"Release: Five Elements Unseal!"

He slammed his palm against Sora’s abdomen.

The seal that had bound the Nine Tails’ chakra inside Sora was undone.

In that instant, an explosive surge of chakra erupted from Sora’s body, blasting Kazuma back dozens of meters.

The sheer force caused internal damage—he coughed blood—but Kazuma still laughed. Crimson dripped from the corners of his mouth as he looked up at Sora.

"Go, Sora. Attack Konoha. You’re a Jinchūriki now—no less than the real Nine Tails’ host. Destroy the village. Take your revenge!"

Sora turned, his eyes burning. Tails began to form behind him.

He already had three.

Now a fourth coalesced—and a fifth was rapidly beginning to form.

"ROOAAAR!!"

A deafening roar shook the forest.

Within a radius of dozens of meters, everything was obliterated by the sheer force of the chakra shockwave.

Trees splintered. The earth cracked.

The devastation was equivalent to an A-rank Wind Style technique—unleashed without hand seals or focus, just raw fury.

Sora crouched down, both hands on the ground, adopting a fox-like stance.

And then, he charged toward Konoha.

His speed was tremendous—on par with the true Nine Tails.

In just over ten seconds, he had covered more than a kilometer.

In under a minute, he reached the outer edge of the village.

Just as he was about to slam into Konoha’s wall—

A bolt of lightning crashed down from the sky.

BOOM!

The day had been perfectly clear—no clouds in sight.

The sudden lightning bolt struck with unnatural precision.

The shinobi stationed along Konoha’s outer wall, watching Sora’s rampage with fear in their eyes, froze in shock.

"It’s sunny... Why the hell is there lightning?!"

Naruto, Sakura, and the others arrived alongside several ANBU.

The bolt had knocked Sora back hundreds of meters.

Enraged, Sora turned toward the village and let out another furious roar.

He thought the lightning had been fired from within the village.

Standing on the city wall, Naruto frowned deeply and shouted, "Sora! Why are you doing this?! What happened to you?!"

Kakashi and Yamato exchanged grim glances.

Kakashi had just recovered from his injuries—and this was the first time since being discharged that he’d faced a direct attack on the village.

There had been assaults on Konoha in the past—but very rarely did a Jinchūriki attack the village head-on.
