Myths Reawakened
Chapter 513 (2): Fight! Fight!
“Boss, is it really okay to let them keep fighting?” Mona asked in an intrigued tone, adjusting her glasses.
Vichy watched the argument unfold without blinking. She shared the concern.
“It’s fine. This is my domain, so they cannot descend with more thoughts. The fight won’t escalate beyond control.” Wayne stared at the two goddesses with full focus, unwilling to miss even a moment. “Darkness tried to play smart but ended up turning Her bestie into a romantic rival—one She couldn’t get rid of. No matter what Her rival does, She’ll have to follow suit, or it’ll seem like She’s pulling back and scheming for Herself. That frustrates Her.”
“Death played smart and ended up turning Herself into a vassal—and Her master was Her bestie’s boyfriend. That gap hit Her harder than Darkness was hit, so She’s trying to drag Darkness down with Her.”
“Both of them have a lot of pent-up frustration. It’ll do them both good to get into a fight.”
“You’re so used to this, Boss!” Mona grumbled.
“Right? I learned it from all of you.” Wayne raised an eyebrow. The only reason he was good was hands-on experience!
Meanwhile, Ines had synced up Her body and thoughts to reclaim the upper hand, while Aztimor could only match Ines in thoughts. Sukra, the body She had taken over, wasn’t a pale being. Aztimor decisively went for corruption.
She failed!
Just like how Wayne had stopped Aztimor from turning all living beings in the Underworld into Astral life, he forbade Her from corrupting Sukra. While Astral beings were powerfully beautiful, turning into one would be akin to becoming inhuman in every sense of the word.
Astral beings weren’t the be-all and end-all. It was good to be normal.
Since Aztimor was no longer in Her favored domain, She quickly lost the upper hand. It vexed Her that Her master had taken Ines’s side, bullying Her for being an obedient, pitiful pushover. Through Her thoughts, She hurled all Her complaints at Wayne.
In contrast, Ines laughed and proudly boasted their love and connection, emphasizing the differences between a partner and a vassal.
Wayne had a headache. To make things fair again, he adjusted the pale ocean and balanced the two player characters. In this new version, neither of them was stronger. By catering to neither of them, he had catered to both. Wayne, as the game developer, approved of his own decision.
Rumble!!
The pale ocean surged. The two goddesses had long since exhausted their thoughts after a series of ultimate moves, leaving them unable to draw more thoughts to the mortal realm. So that they could wield their power, they went from outputting ranged attacks to engaging in melee battle.
Wayne popped his head out. The civil exchanges had ended. It was time for his favorite, brutish battle. Truth be told, the battle of knowledge was no fun at all due to how abstract the conflict was. True goddesses should tear at each other’s hair and clothes.
Half an hour later, under Wayne’s expectant gaze, the two goddesses started wrestling like animals, having run out of thoughts.
Rip!
Ines tore off Aztimor’s sleeping gown, revealing Her long, fair legs and...
Ines sucked in a breath. She recognized the underwear. Vichy often equipped the item to expedite her offense.
Fine, fine. Your Holy Maiden has put on such shameless underwear, yet you’re still playing innocent.
“What a pretty piece of clothing,” Ines said. “You’re so well dressed, Aztimor. Unlike you, I’m more conservative.”
“Bastard!” Aztimor reforged Her gown. Her face flushed with rage and disapproval for Sukra, the now-retired Holy Maiden.
Who are you trying to seduce, girl?!
“Um...” Wayne stroked his chin from the sideline. He had gotten a clear look. While Sukra was a slacker, she had a beautiful face and body. Her backside was shapely and full, making it satisfying to slap.
Bah! I mean, what’s the deal with the underwear? Why does it look so familiar?
Wayne glared at Vichy. It was a design he had tailor-made for the knight’s icy expression and long legs, yet to be produced for the market. Sukra had to have learned of the design from Vichy to create a replica.
“She-she said she would like to take a look,” Vichy mumbled.
“And you just let her look?” Wayne huffed. “I didn’t know you were this obedient. I’ll see if you’ll give it to me just because I ask you to someday.”
Vichy blushed, cursing out the pervert. What a terrible threat. She didn’t hate it at all.
Rip!
Aztimor scoffed at Ines with half of the torn black dress. She would like to see how conservative the shameless Darkness was.
“...” x4
Aztimor was stunned, and so were Mona and Vichy. Even Ines was surprised.
There was nothing under the black dress. It was so conservative that it could only be described as primitive. Aztimor’s Holy Maiden had at least put on a string, while Ines had nothing on.
≖ꇴ≖✧
Wayne was also caught off guard. He quickly put on a pervy look and expressed his inability to resist his white moonlight.
“You-you...” Aztimor was so shocked that it took some time for Her to string together a sentence. “How shameless! How could someone like you become a goddess? You... you’re hopeless.”
Damn Anastasia, is this how you undermine your god?!
In the bedroom, Ines had refused to let Anastasia benefit from Her possession, so She had possessed Vichy instead. She only took over Her Holy Maiden right before meeting Aztimor, so She didn’t know that Anastasia was wearing nothing under the dress.
Anastasia could’ve done worse, but that would be too vulgar and embarrassing for even herself. She exerted some self-control.
The decisive move silenced the Goddess of Darkness. Seeing Aztimor’s disgusted expression, though, Ines remained composed. This was far from enough to stump a villainess like Her. As long as She had no morality, Aztimor wouldn’t be able to point fingers at Her from the moral high ground.
Ines lifted Her delicate hand and reforged a dress, speaking calmly, “I forgot to tell you that before your descent, I was discussing the wedding day with your master. It’s normal for people in love to get intimate. He likes me, and I like him. It’s as simple as that.”
“Bah, but that shouldn’t stop you from putting on underpants,” Aztimor scoffed. “You’re shameless!”
“As if you have underpants on.”
“...” x2
At this point, it was hard for the two goddesses to keep fighting. Because of their Holy Maidens, both lost their dignity, right before their once-friend. It was humiliating.
Unwilling to show their true feelings to the other, they insulted each other with precision, refusing to come into physical contact. They went back to hurling curses.
They stopped after five minutes.
“Done already?” Wayne was disappointed. When two pairs of furious eyes glared at him, he amended, “I mean, how wonderful that you’re done fighting.”
He pulled his pale domain back and patted Vichy on the backside. Once she got back to her feet, he went up to the two goddesses.
“Ladies—”
“It’s okay, Wayne. You don’t have to worry about me,” Ines interrupted, holding Herself like the magnanimous lady of the house. “Go assure Aztimor, or she’s going to throw another unreasonable tantrum. At the end of the day, she’s your most powerful vassal, while I’m not. You don’t have to worry about me.”
“Um...”
Wayne didn’t know where to begin. Where did the villainess learn to throw shade like that? Which chat group was it? Invite him now.
Ines threw Aztimor a cold glance before turning back to Wayne with tears brimming in Her reddened eyes. “It’s my bad. I thought that since she was your vassal, I, your partner, was entitled to give her orders. I thought she wouldn’t mind.”
Please stop, Sis. Others would think She’d come first.
“Stop, Ines,” Wayne messaged Her. “You’re only making Her more competitive. Believe me. It’s not too late to stop now.”
“Hmph, she and I cannot coexist!”
“...”
Since there was no convincing Ines, Wayne could only ask for Aztimor’s understanding. “My goddess, hear me out. She’s angering you on purpose. If you fall for it, you’ll be celebrating Mother’s Day next year. Ignore Her if you don’t want me to have my way with you.”
“Why didn’t you say that earlier? You only coddle me once you’ve had your fun.” Aztimor sneered. “Did you see her face? She’s trying to drive a wedge between us because me being your vassal is an obstacle for her. She’s up to no good and has been trying to use you.”
“Have you considered that actually—”
“She and I cannot coexist!”

Later, the same study.
The two goddesses, descending through their Holy Maidens, stared at each other. Mona had been watching them since the beginning. She marveled at the goddesses and their goddess-level pettiness.
After five silent minutes, Wayne held his fist to his mouth and cleared his throat. “Let me conclude the situation. Neither goddess is in the wrong. It’s all my fault.”
“Who is your only goddess, Wayne?” Ines asked coldly.
“It’s you, my goddess!”
Wayne pointed at Aztimor while looking adoringly at Ines. At the same time, he said through his thoughts that She was an important asset, he couldn’t do without Her now, and that She was his true goddess, asking for Her understanding.
He said the same thing to both goddesses, without specifying who ‘She’ was.
Aztimor, as a vassal, kept Her frustration to Herself. Ines, as the self-proclaimed lady of the house, also tamped down Her grievances. They had fought and argued. If they didn’t stop, Wayne would feel disrespected.
The two goddesses decided to postpone their fight for Wayne’s sake. They weren’t unwilling to drop the issue, but the other party had to admit Her betrayal and apologize on Her knees first.
The first ever clash between the disciplinary teacher and the history teacher came to an end thanks to the mediation of Wayne, the straight-A student with a good personality, a good body, and good looks.
“Ines, Elian is the most powerful at this moment, and She’s gained the Death She had aimed for as Nature, thus overtaking everyone. Left unchecked, She will become the next Elohim,” Wayne said seriously. “Based on what you and Aztimor have said, that woman is used to looking down on everyone. If She becomes the top dog, all of us will suffer.”
“So?”
“Rather than letting Elian become Elohim, it’s better for me to become the next Elohim and the strongest in the Chosen Land.”
“I’m good with that. Come to the Divine Realm of Darkness, and I’ll hand the knowledge of Darkness to you.” Ines glanced at Aztimor. “I don’t want a certain vassal to say that your partner is up to no good just because she’s projecting. Hm, she calls me a villain because she isn’t a good woman.”
But you aren’t a good woman!
Wayne kept that to himself and nodded. “Once I visit the Divine Realm of Darkness, I’ll pay the Divine Realm of Sun and Moonlight a visit, too. Are you interested in coming with me?”
Ines paused in surprise. “That’s not the plan. It’s too risky.”
“It’s fine. Once I gain the knowledge of Darkness, I’ll be able to defeat Siluk and Kaleb in an open confrontation.” Wayne clenched his fists with confidence. In fact, given what Ines and Aztimor had said about Siluk and Kaleb’s stagnation after becoming gods, he was confident he could barge into their Divine Realm right now and defeat them, turning them into his lapdogs. He only delayed that until after he visited Darkness out of caution.
Who knew? He had heard that the best friends had been practicing their combos. One could never be too careful.
“I’ll enter their Divine Realm with you,” Aztimor said bluntly. “Darkness’s Divine Realm, too. I still don’t trust Ines. If something happens, I’ll protect you with my life.”
Ines gritted Her teeth and sneered. “What a nice way to put it. As his vassal, it’s in your nature to protect your master. Without him, you’ll face death. That’s the truth.”
“Why? Are you scared of letting me enter the Divine Realm of Darkness?”
“Scared? The problem is you...” Ines threatened. “Wayne will be fine entering my Divine Realm, but I make no promises about you. If something leads to your death there, don’t put it on me.”
“Excuse me. I can’t die now.” Aztimor refused to back down. Her thoughts were now under Wayne’s control, and he alone could determine Her life and death. Ines might be able to defeat Her in the Divine Realm of Darkness, but She couldn’t kill Her.
Wayne’s life essence had evolved beyond the goddesses. The Divine Realm would protect them, but not reverse his evolution. He was already the strongest in the Chosen Land.
Aztimor glanced at Her master. She could feel that Her corruption had originated from an ancient god!!
Even if he didn’t admit it, life essence didn’t lie. Aside from the human skin, Her master had nothing in common with humans.
Moreover, the ancient god was still evolving. He would only grow stronger!
