Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God
Chapter 312 - 313: The Paragon’s Seizure 3
Chapter 312: Chapter 313: The Paragon’s Seizure 3
And yet, despite the fear and the pain of losing the inheritance, many of them also felt a quiet sense of fortune beneath the shock. They had entered a Paragon-level ruin and survived. They had extracted rune knowledge that would have been impossible to obtain anywhere else. They had gained insights, methods, and fragments of comprehension that could change their futures. Now they needed time to digest those gains and advance their cultivation before the wider Multiverse began hunting for answers.
---
Across the Multiverse, the reports began moving upward at extreme speed.
Sect masters, clan leaders, and Ancestors received the information within moments. Many of them were initially skeptical, because the idea of a Rune Sovereign ruin being seized so abruptly was almost impossible to believe. But the consistency of the reports erased their doubt. Multiple participants from different factions had been ejected at the same instant. Multiple spatial residues carried the same impossible signature. Multiple survivors described the same absolute authority that had removed them without resistance.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, they immediately escalated the matter further. The chain of reports raced toward the ears of other true Paragons with almost no delay. Ancient communication arrays lit up in hidden realms. Sealed chambers opened in forgotten strongholds. Beings who had not stirred in trillions of years received messages that forced them to rise from their silence.
A Rune Sovereign ruin had appeared.
A Paragon had already moved.
And the inheritance inside it might have been claimed.
The returning participants also carried another piece of information that made their superiors take the situation even more seriously. Many of them had gained substantial rune knowledge from the ruin. That knowledge made them valuable, because it could strengthen factions, improve cultivation methods, and reveal fragments of the Rune Sovereign’s teachings. But it also made them vulnerable, because other forces would want to extract what they knew. Orders began moving downward almost immediately: secure the survivors, protect their memories, and prepare for a period of rapid digestion and advancement.
Meanwhile the True Paragons began to move towards the location of the ruin coordianates.
---
Back at the original location, the Reliquary stood completely ownerless.
Every other participant had been removed. The Ancient Will had long been destroyed. Nothing remained to resist her. The trial systems still functioned in fragments, but they had no intelligence to guide them, no authority to defend them, and no will to oppose the true Paragon standing outside their shell. The ruin was like a palace whose king had died and whose servants had fled.
The true Paragon drew the entire universe-sized ruin into her personal space with effortless authority. The action was clean and absolute. One moment the Reliquary occupied its coordinates in the void, vast and hidden, carrying layers of trials, monsters, rewards, and the sleeping inheritance of the Rune Sovereign. The next moment it was gone, sealed within her private domain along with the still-enlightened Runar and her own clone.
She did not linger for even a quark-second.
Her internal calculation was cold and precise. The ejected survivors were already contacting their superiors. The information would reach other Paragons extremely quickly. Remaining any longer risked confrontation with equals. There was no benefit in testing that outcome right now. She had what she came for, and she had no intention of turning a successful seizure into an unnecessary battle.
She left.
Space healed behind her as though she had never existed.
---
Only a short time after her departure, several true Paragons arrived at the former location of the Reliquary from different directions.
They did not arrive together. They did not announce themselves. Each one came with the same intent, and each one stopped at the same empty point in the void. The first stood still, eyes sweeping the scarred space with cold focus. The second appeared moments later, expression unchanged but presence sharpening. The third arrived last, surrounded by faint principles that bent away from her body as though reality itself was trying not to touch her.
They found only empty, scarred void.
No ruin. No residual signature strong enough to track. No trail leading into the deeper Multiverse. Nothing.
Cold silence hung between them as they realized a peer had already acted and completely erased the board. No one spoke for a long time, because every one of them understood what that meant. Whoever had moved first had not merely taken the Reliquary. They had taken the future that had been born inside it.
One of the Paragons finally spoke, her voice quiet but heavy.
"Someone was faster."
Another replied, "Not faster. More decisive."
The third said nothing. She simply looked at the place where the Reliquary had once stood, and her eyes reflected a cold, dangerous calculation.
They did not fight. They did not argue. They began searching for traces, knowing full well that the chances of finding anything were slim. If a peer had acted this cleanly, then the trail would be buried deep. But none of them would stop looking. A Rune Sovereign inheritance was already valuable enough to justify such effort. And they also heard the report of a Multiversal Being named Runar, who was said to have had extracted more understanding of Runes from the ruin. They began to search for him.
The Multiverse had just entered a new phase.
---
Far away, inside an unknown personal space, the Rune Sovereign’s Reliquary now rested under the authority of a single true Paragon. The ruin was no longer drifting in the open void, no longer waiting for candidates to stumble upon its entrance. It had been claimed, sealed, and removed from the reach of all but the most absolute existences.
At its heart, Runar continued to float in deep enlightenment. Golden-white light cascaded around his body in steady waves, and the twin Supreme Principles inside his soul continued their quiet formation. He did not know that the Reliquary had changed hands. He did not know that the Multiverse was beginning to move in response to his existence. He only knew that his comprehension was still rising, and that the path ahead was becoming clearer with every breath.
The board had been rewritten.
And the Multiverse had just begun to notice.
