My Yandere Robot Wife
Chapter 564
You chose 2.
What was done was done. You might as well eat first.
You were genuinely starving. The fright you’d just gotten had only made you hungrier.
You grabbed the half a loaf of bread and, without a care for appearances, stuffed it into your mouth and wolfed it down.
The bread was soft, with a cheap sweetness to it.
You swallowed the entire piece in three bites, then nearly choked, rolling your eyes as you struggled for air.
You quickly unscrewed the water bottle and gulped down a couple of mouthfuls. Only then did you begin to feel better.
You let out a long sigh of relief, but a trace of disappointment lingered.
The taste of this bread was worlds apart from the Crazy Girl’s cooking.
Thinking of that, you shook your head helplessly. That Crazy Girl had really spoiled your palate…Your movements suddenly froze.
Because right before your eyes, everything seemed to blur for a moment.
You suddenly felt incredibly sleepy.
You shook your head, trying to stay awake, but your eyelids grew heavier and heavier, while your arms and legs grew weaker and weaker.
You held on for a few seconds before collapsing onto the raft with a thud.
Just before losing consciousness, one final thought flashed through your mind—
…This bread is poisoned…!
…
The morning sea breeze woke you.
You suddenly opened your eyes and sat up inside the shack.
The sunlight was bright and cheerful. The sea breeze tousled the hair on your forehead as you sat in the little shelter, staring blankly at the ocean.
You felt incredibly refreshed.
Your whole body felt light and comfortable, and your mind was clearer than ever, as if you had just enjoyed the best sleep of your life.
Apparently, the bread hadn’t been poisoned. It had merely given you a wonderfully deep sleep, letting you sleep until dawn and wake up naturally.
You even felt that if a shark charged at you right now, you could pin it down on the raft and rub its face into the planks with your bare hands.
Even so, your mood remained heavy. The shadow cast by the note you had found last night still lingered in your heart.
You still felt as though someone was watching you. The sensation was faint yet persistent, sending an icy chill through you.
You instinctively began searching through the wooden chest.
But after turning the entire chest upside down, you still couldn’t find the note you had discovered last night.
You froze.
Gone? Had the sea breeze blown it away during the night? Or had it all been an illusion?
Had you hallucinated because of extreme fear and exhaustion?
Perhaps.
When people were pushed to their limits, they could indeed experience all kinds of inexplicable hallucinations.
You began reassuring yourself.
There was no way that Crazy Girl could have appeared here.
That was it.
Your mood gradually settled.
You crawled out of the shack, stood on the raft, and stretched luxuriously into the sea breeze.
A new day, a new beginning!
You decided—
【1. Solve the food and water problem first. You’ve eaten all your bread, and only a bottle and a half of water remain. Without food and water, you won’t survive, so you’ll focus on hooking those barrels and chests.】
【2. Expand your raft. It’s far too small, and it could easily capsize once the waves grow stronger. You decide to hook some planks and vines first and expand the raft as a precaution.】
【3. You still believe this is all a hallucination. You decide to jump into the sea and take your own life. Perhaps you’ll be able to return and see your yandere girlfriend.】
You chose 2.
Because you felt that the wind at sea had grown somewhat stronger.
And also…
You lowered your head and glanced at the water. The sea was deep and blue—so dark a blue that it was almost black.
As you stared into the shadowy depths, you suddenly shuddered.
It was too deep. Deep enough to remind you of someone’s eyes.
Normally, they were as gentle as water. But at certain moments, they became like a bottomless abyss.
You had no intention of falling into them.
So you decided to reinforce the raft first, just in case.
You picked up the iron hook and began pulling in planks and vines floating on the sea.
Thanks to yesterday’s experience, your aim was exceptionally good today. Every throw struck its mark with pinpoint accuracy.
Before long, a huge pile of planks and vines had accumulated on your raft.
You even found time to hook up a wooden barrel.
When you opened it, you discovered several hammers, a bundle of nails, and a roll of sturdy hemp rope inside!
They were all construction tools!
Excited, you decided that the Goddess of the Sea must be watching over you.
Not wanting to disappoint her expectations, you began building.
…
By the time the sun had climbed overhead, you had nearly doubled the size of the raft!
When a wave rolled beneath you, the raft only swayed slightly.
Standing on the newly added planks, you felt an indescribable sense of accomplishment.
You were practically a construction genius!
At that moment, an image even appeared in your mind—
One day in the future, you would build a massive platform on the sea.
A small house that belonged to you would stand on it, complete with two floors and a balcony.
Shell wind chimes would hang from the balcony, ringing softly in the sea breeze.
You would sit in a recliner, holding a cup of tea at the perfect temperature, watching the sunset…
What a wonderful life!
You wiped the sweat from your forehead, the corners of your mouth lifting into a smile.
But soon, your stomach growled at the most inconvenient possible moment.
You were hungry.
After such a huge construction project, it would have been strange not to be.
You raised your head and scanned the sea, searching for supply crates.
Then you saw it…
A wooden chest was floating across the sea not far away.
It was square and half-submerged, rising and falling with the waves.
Your heart gave a jolt.
You remembered the note you had found in the chest yesterday.
You remembered the neat handwriting, that accursed term of endearment, and the bone-chilling tone!
Your hand hesitated.
But… everyone had to eat.
You couldn’t abandon a possible source of food and water just because of a note that might have been a hallucination.
Besides, you had expended a great deal of energy. Without replenishing it, you wouldn’t even be able to survive, let alone continue expanding the raft.
So you gritted your teeth, picked up the iron hook, and threw it…!
You hooked the chest and hauled it aboard the raft.
You took a deep breath, your expression solemn. The wooden chest before you looked like a bomb waiting to be dismantled.
You opened it.
Inside were two bottles of water and… an exquisitely packaged strawberry cake?
You froze.
You had never imagined that you could find a cake floating in from the sea.
And it was your favorite flavor: strawberry.
The cream was snowy white, and the strawberries were bright red… Your heartbeat suddenly quickened.
Could this cake be…?!
You immediately picked it up.
Sure enough, beneath the cake was a note.
You had been expecting it this time, so you didn’t panic.
Taking a deep breath, you picked up the note and unfolded it. Written on it were the words—
【Did Little Qiqi sleep well last night? Congratulations on making it through your first day! Here’s a little strawberry cake as your reward!】
You thought, Of course it’s her.
You slowly lowered the note and once again looked around.
The sea was calm, its surface glittering beneath the sunlight.
You simply couldn’t understand it.
How had that Crazy Girl managed to put the cake inside the chest? And what was she trying to do?
Your thoughts became a complete mess.
But soon, you stopped dwelling on it.
Because you knew you weren’t smart enough to figure it out. If there was something you couldn’t understand, no amount of thinking would help.
So you decided—
【1. Throw the cake straight into the sea to feed the fish, then shout, “I’ll never eat your damn cake again!” and show the world what it meant to be a real man!】
【2. Wasting food is shameful, especially when you're currently struggling to survive on the open sea. Cake is also a high-calorie food, so you decide to accept this “kindness,” replenish your energy, and continue expanding your raft.】
【3. It’s all an illusion. You decide to jump into the sea and end your life—perhaps you’ll be able to return and see your yandere girlfriend.】
You chose 2.
Obviously. Only an idiot would give up a high-calorie food that had already landed in his hands just to “show his manly spirit.”
Can manly spirit fill your stomach?
Besides, you’re struggling to survive on the open sea right now. Every calorie is precious.
And this cake really is your favorite flavor: strawberry.
You stare at the crystal-clear strawberry atop the cake, and your mouth starts watering.
You tear open the package.
The sweet scent of strawberries fills your nose. It smells just like your Crazy Girl.
That fragrant, sugary scent—the kind that gets you addicted.
You shiver slightly.
You really both love and hate this smell.
You open your mouth and take a huge bite!
It’s a familiar flavor. Your taste buds tell you that this cake was definitely made by that Crazy Girl herself.
Only her cakes taste like this.
You eat slowly, every bite filling you with complicated emotions.
But you don’t want to keep investigating why the Crazy Girl is able to send you food.
How she sent it, when she sent it—none of that matters anymore.
What matters is that you suddenly feel at ease.
Because you know that, from now on, you probably won’t die.
Your Crazy Girl might break all four of your limbs. She might lock you up. But…
She would never stand by and watch you die.
And besides…
Being able to enjoy Liguang’s tenderness without having the Crazy Girl by your side is completely acceptable to you right now.
After all…
You simply can’t resist her cooking. Otherwise, your tongue would rebel.
Mm. It’s really that simple.
After finishing the cake, you feel strength surging through your body.
This strength isn’t an illusion!
Your muscles no longer ache, and your mind is so energized that you feel as though you could swing the grappling hook a hundred times without even getting winded!
This cake really does have miraculous effects!
So, while the momentum was still going strong, you threw yourself back into the great expansion project!
…
This time, you were more skilled and had more energy than the day before.
In just one day, you doubled the size of the raft again.
At dusk, the sun sank toward the horizon, and the clouds at the edge of the sky blazed like fire.
Standing on the raft—which now covered at least twenty square meters—you gazed at your masterpiece, and your sense of accomplishment exploded once again!
You couldn’t even help pacing back and forth across the raft, then jumping up and down a couple of times.
Solid. Extremely solid!
How was this a raft? It was clearly the foundation of your luxurious seaside mansion!
You planted your hands on your hips and looked up at the sky, your heart swelling with heroic ambition.
And so you decided—
【1. You’ve been busy all day. Go to bed early and reward yourself with a good night’s sleep. You need to get up early tomorrow and start building a real little house on the sea!】
【2. Observe the surface of the sea and find a way to hook another wooden crate. Maybe you’ll find another note from the Crazy Girl…?】
【3. Illusion, illusion, illusion. You decide to jump into the sea and end your life—perhaps you’ll be able to return and see your yandere girlfriend.】
You chose 2.
You chose 2 as if possessed.
You didn’t even know why. Maybe the surface of the sea was simply too quiet. The only sound was the crashing of the waves, and it made your heart feel uneasy.
On this empty ocean, with no one around, you longed for human contact.
Even if it was with the Crazy Girl who had once broken all four of your limbs, or with those creepy notes that made your skin crawl.
You sat down on the raft and began watching the sea. You watched for a long time.
Until the sun was about to sink beneath the horizon, and the evening glow was slowly swallowed by the night, you finally spotted another wooden crate.
You immediately grabbed the iron hook and pulled it over.
Inside were, as usual, two bottles of water, as well as…
You froze again.
A hot egg pancake in a bag?
The egg pancake was golden brown, with steam still rising from its surface. It seemed to have been taken straight off the pan not long ago.
You could smell the enticing aromas of oil and scallions.
The things in these wooden crates always managed to surprise you.
You picked up the bag, and sure enough, there was another note pressed underneath it.
You unfolded the note. It read—
【Little Qiqi is so adorable! Last time, I rewarded Little Qiqi with his favorite strawberry cake. This time, I’ll use Liguang’s favorite food as the reward!】
You were immediately somewhat taken aback.
The Crazy Girl’s favorite food was egg pancakes?
You realized that you didn’t actually know this about her.
Sitting on the raft, you stared at the note as an indescribable feeling welled up inside you.
You even began to wonder whether Liguang had done those things because you hadn’t cared enough about her in the past…
“Smack!”
You slapped yourself again. It hurt.
What did that have to do with anything?! That still didn’t give her the right to break all four of your limbs and lock you up!
Her love was twisted! It was sick!
It was… it was…
…Forget it.
The fragrant smell of the egg pancake made your stomach growl again, and you no longer felt like thinking about it.
…Time to eat!
The egg pancake was soft, with chopped scallions and bits of ham inside. Every bite left a lingering fragrance in your mouth.
You were completely incapable of resisting this flavor.
After finishing it, you let out a satisfied belch, and a warm feeling rose from your stomach…
Suddenly, your eyelids felt incredibly heavy again.
Sleepy once more.
You crawled back into your little shelter and collapsed onto the raft, which was covered with leaves.
The sea breeze blew gently past you, while the rhythm of the waves sounded like a lullaby.
Your consciousness began to blur.
Just before you drifted off completely, you suddenly realized something.
Although you had crossed into another world, it seemed that…
You were still being imprisoned by Liguang.
Before crossing over, you had been imprisoned on a bed. After crossing over, you were imprisoned on a raft.
By your side, there was still only her, accompanying you.
In her own way.
But it seemed…
There was nothing wrong with that.
You merely curled up a little, burying your face deeper into the leaf pillow.
The sea breeze stopped, and the sound of the waves faded into the distance.
You sank into a deep sleep.
And then…
You had a dream.
You dreamed of… dreamed of…
You dreamed of that…
The round-faced female coworker from the company?
Hm?
But you only saw her for a moment before the dream shattered.
Then, you seemed to hear it again.
That familiar voice, murmuring intermittently.
“Miss Lin… really knows how to sneak extra scenes into her own story…”
“But Liguang absolutely won’t allow you to… rewrite Liguang’s script…”
“The Master’s switch… belongs to Liguang alone…”
“So much fun… It would be a shame to destroy it… Liguang still has more games to play…”
“Master’s ‘memories’… now belong entirely to Liguang as well…”
You heard something. And then, you suddenly remembered something.
Then, you quickly forgot something else.
You only felt…
That you slept even more soundly.
