Chapter 87: Chapter 87 - Incorrigible Womanizer?

In the main hall of the Häangenti Mansion, Alear quickly gathered the group: Mio, Maria, Valerie, Ingvild, and Echidna. Nobunaga was also present, casually reclining on one of the sofas while observing the movement around her with her usual air of amused boredom. Ravel, on the other hand, was still at the Phenex family residence, busy with some matters related to her own family....

A few minutes later, the doors opened and Seekvaira Agares entered the hall. Alear was slightly surprised to see her and couldn’t help but notice the care she had taken to prepare for the occasion. Her long blonde-greenish hair fell softly over her shoulders and seemed a bit straighter and better cared for than the last time he had seen her. Her pink, almond-shaped eyes, partially hidden by her glasses, also seemed slightly different, with slightly longer lashes and subtle makeup enhancing her features. In fact, this was the first time he had seen her wearing makeup. The outfit she wore also perfectly enhanced her voluptuous curves, although Seekvaira seemed completely indifferent to the attention her appearance inevitably attracted.....

"It’s good to see you again, my future husband..." Seekvaira greeted with a polite and courteous smile, tilting her head slightly in a subtle bow.

Alear returned the greeting with a casual nod and a light smile, approaching her in a relaxed manner.

"Likewise, Seekvaira. How have you been? Everything okay in the last few days?" He asked casually.

"Everything has been going well, thank you for asking..." Seekvaira replied serenely, discreetly adjusting her glasses on her face. Then, she turned her gaze to the young women gathered in the hall, whom she had never met in person. Although she already knew who some of them were due to the information she had received about her future husband, this was the first time they were meeting. Thus, she decided to introduce herself clearly and formally: "You must be the nobility I’ve heard so much about, right? My name is Seekvaira Agares. I’m happy to meet you..."

The girls responded almost at the same time, each with her own personality.

Mio was the first, crossing her arms with a confident smile.

"I’m Mio Naruse. Pleasure to meet the official fiancée of Alear."

Maria made a small polite bow, speaking kindly:

"Maria Naruse, it’s a pleasure."

Valerie, more reserved, nodded her head slightly.

"Valerie Tepes... hi."

Ingvild, still a bit shy, smiled softly and tilted her head.

"Ingvild Leviathan. It’s good to meet you, Seekvaira-san."

Finally, Echidna observed the newcomer with evident intellectual curiosity, her smile never leaving her face.

"Echidna Astaroth. I’m quite interested in getting to know you better, Seekvaira Agares."

Seekvaira nodded politely to each one. Her pink eyes then shifted to the sofa, where Nobunaga remained reclined, observing the scene with a lazy little smile. The archer noticed the look and shrugged casually.

"You can call me Archer..." Nobunaga said directly, without getting up. Before Seekvaira could respond, she shot a sharp look in Alear’s direction, snorting with evident amused disdain. "One more girl, huh? You really are an incorrigible womanizer, Alear. I don’t know how you haven’t drowned in all this yet."

Without waiting for any reaction, Nobunaga abruptly disappeared in her spiritual form, leaving behind only a faint echo of her mocking laugh. Seekvaira blinked, clearly disconcerted by the sudden disappearance, adjusting her glasses as she looked at the empty space.

"...Archer?..." She murmured, turning her gaze back to Alear with a mix of curiosity and slight confusion. "Your ’nobility’ seems to be quite... varied and full of unique personalities."

Alear scratched the back of his neck with an awkward smile, replying casually: "Ah, don’t worry. Archer isn’t part of my nobility. She’s just a friend... well, let’s say a bit eccentric."

Seekvaira nodded in understanding, relaxing her posture a little. "I see....."

The atmosphere in the hall gradually became lighter, and the girls began to talk about more relaxed subjects, trying to dispel the initial tension. Taking advantage of the more pleasant atmosphere, Alear asked Lotte to prepare tea and some cookies so that everyone could talk more comfortably....

Seekvaira, as intelligent as she was, quickly realized that Alear’s relationship with those girls was quite unusual, especially with Mio and Maria, who had clearly already developed a strong attachment to him. In the Underworld, it was not uncommon for high-ranking demons to end up forming a harem with their own Evil Pieces. For this reason, at first, she even imagined that her future husband was doing exactly the same. However, this impression soon disappeared when she realized that all the girls present possessed a frightening potential, being as talented as her or even superior in some aspects. That surprised her quite a bit, but it also awakened a certain pride. After all, if Alear were really to take other women in the future, she preferred that they be exceptional individuals, and not ordinary girls who would only tarnish the prestige of an Archduke. Besides, she would already be sharing her future husband with Serafall and Ravel; the existence of a few more concubines wouldn’t make much difference to her....

She set aside any unnecessary worries and began to make an effort to fit in with everyone present.

And, amid the relaxed conversations, the occasional laughter, and the increasingly light atmosphere, the afternoon passed by almost without them noticing. When they realized it, the sun was already beginning to set on the horizon.

Alear came out of the bath with his pink-magenta hair still damp, drying it distractedly with a towel as he walked through the room. He was shirtless, wearing only black sweatpants that left his well-defined physique completely exposed. When he reached the bed, he sat on the edge of the mattress, let out a long sigh, and tossed the towel aside.

He reflected on Nobunaga’s words earlier; she had called him "incorrigible womanizer"... But this wasn’t the first time she had called him that. In his past life, she used to call him exactly that because of his habit of sleeping with numerous servants. That’s why hearing those same words again ended up sticking in his head.

He reflected on the words Nobunaga had said earlier. She called him ’incorrigible womanizer’... But this wasn’t the first time she had used that nickname. In his past life, she used to call him exactly that because of his habit of sleeping with numerous servants. Perhaps that’s why hearing those same words again had remained in his mind. In fact, ever since they returned from the human world, Nobunaga had been changing little by little. She was friendlier than usual and had even stopped constantly teasing him with the old dispute to decide who was the ’king’ and who was the ’horse’, one of her favorite games. It was a subtle but noticeable change. On its own, it might not mean much. However, combined with the behavior she had shown earlier, it made him feel that something different was happening... something he still couldn’t fully understand.

Most likely, she had seen his life in Chaldea through the Cycle of Dreams, right? Or was he overthinking it? After all, in this life, he was also surrounded by women, just as in the previous one. If that was the case, it wouldn’t be strange for Nobunaga to end up giving him the same nickname, considering that, in the end, she was still the same Oda Nobunaga....

"Hm?"

Suddenly, a surprised expression appeared on Alear’s face. While still thinking about Nobunaga, he decided to take advantage of his daily opportunity in the [Fate Gacha]. The moment the roulette finished spinning, his eyes widened.

"What a surprise..."

He had obtained a Noble Phantasm!

And not just any one.

It was [Merodach], the prototype of the Sword of Selection and one of the treasures belonging to the King of Heroes, Gilgamesh.

It wasn’t the fact that he had finally obtained his first Noble Phantasm that surprised him. With his luck having improved lately, it was only a matter of time before it happened. What really surprised him was the identity of the reward. He had received precisely [Merodach], the same sword he already possessed in that world. For a few moments, he simply stared at the name of the reward in silence. Among the countless Noble Phantasms that could have come out in the Fate Gacha, receiving precisely the one that corresponded to the weapon he already wielded was too big a coincidence to be ignored....

It seemed that the [Fate Gacha] was not as random as he imagined. When his luck was high enough, the rewards tended to have some connection to him. It had been like that with the [Mystic Eyes of Dominion Perception], with [Tsubame Gaeshi], a technique he had mastered in his past life, with the summoning of Nobunaga, who had been practically his best friend in Chaldea, and now with [Merodach] itself, the sword that was already in his possession in that world....

Setting that aside, Alear accepted the reward. In the next instant, a smile appeared on his lips as the sword appeared in his hand.

"Just as I suspected..."

The sword that appeared before him had practically the same appearance as the Merodach he already possessed. The reason was simple: the two had merged. There were no longer two distinct versions of the same weapon; both had become a single existence. Although the reward description mentioned nothing about this, he had already suspected that something like this could happen. Little by little, he was beginning to better understand the logic behind how the [Fate Gacha] worked.....

He lowered his gaze to the blade in his hands. A simple movement was enough to realize that its quality had increased absurdly. The sword conveyed a much deeper and more complete presence than before, as if it had finally reached the level of a true divine weapon. Having wielded and witnessed countless legendary weapons in his past life, he was able to assess its level with relative precision. In his estimation, [Merodach] could now be compared to swords like [Balmung]. The difference was that, unlike Siegfried’s sword, it did not possess the concept of dragon extermination. Still, in terms of quality and raw power, it had already reached a similar level. In addition, the fusion had granted the sword new abilities that he would have to test on his own....

A slight smile of satisfaction appeared on his face.

After storing his [Merodach] with a thought, Alear lay down on the bed, crossing his arms behind his head while staring at the ceiling of the room in silence.

"Tomorrow is the inauguration of the Broken Cauldron..." He murmured, letting out a light sigh.

The next day promised to be quite busy. There were still the final preparations to finish, the arrival of important guests, and the need to personally supervise every detail of the event to ensure everything went as planned.

For that reason, despite considering Mio and Maria’s invitation to have sex with them, he decided to leave it for another time. He needed to rest. If he wanted to properly handle everything that was coming, he had to be in top form.

"Not today..." He murmured to himself with a slight smile, turning off the lights in the room with a simple wave of his hand. "Better to sleep early."

The fatigue of the day finally caught up with him. With his body relaxing on the soft sheets, Alear closed his eyes and let sleep envelop him quickly...

The mansion fell silent, and the night continued peacefully over the Häangenti Mansion.....
