My Undead Legion Kills God's
Chapter 129: Prove Your Worth.
The Chief’s roar shook the world as he stepped forward, disregarding his own subjects and crushing some of them beneath his heel.
"Prove your worth, then."
The Chief only had one arm, but the moment they collided, the air exploded in all directions. Elias’s massive body actually dented from the impact as he was forced several steps backward.
After losing the first exchange, Elias was pissed.
His massive body defied gravity as he twisted through the air, bringing his leg around with enough force to crush an entire group of Eidolons if they had been caught beneath it.
The Chief raised his arm and blocked, but Elias followed with another.
His enormous body continued spinning through the air as his legs struck the Chief from different angles, each impact producing a thunderous explosion that shook the surrounding battlefield.
The Chief was forced backward.
Elias finally landed, his metallic feet digging into the frozen ground as he stared at the Chief.
"Is that all you’ve got?"
The Chief’s expression twisted into something resembling an amused grin. The ground shattered beneath his feet as he attacked with deadly intent.
Elias met him head-on.
Their bodies collided again, and the battlefield seemed to disappear beneath the sheer force of their attacks.
Every exchange sent waves of pressure through the surrounding Eidolons. Some were thrown several meters away, while others were crushed beneath the feet of the two giants without either of them paying attention.
From the vantage point of the Divine Priest and the new Eidolon Priest, the battle looked almost apocalyptic.
The two giants continued tearing apart the battlefield, their movements creating explosions powerful enough to be heard from beyond the human encampment.
"Should we help?" the new Eidolon Priest asked.
The Divine Priest looked at him as if he were an idiot, no different from the fools being crushed beneath the Chief’s feet.
"The Chief will not approve of us interfering in his battles."
The new Eidolon Priest glanced back toward the wooden wall. The battle between the Chief and Elias continued in the distance, but neither Priest paid it much attention anymore. Their objective was clear, and standing around watching the two giants fight would do nothing to help the army get through the wall.
"Then what should we do?"
"We find a way to take down that enchanted wall... If we cannot get past it, the army will remain trapped outside while the foreign creatures continue hiding behind it."
The new Eidolon Priest looked toward the wall again, his gaze moving across the ancient structure as he searched for a way through. The wall had already endured countless impacts from the Eidolons, yet it still stood. The faint runes covering its surface continued to glow whenever another body slammed into it, reinforcing the fact that brute force alone would not be enough.
Then the new Eidolon Priest spotted Andrea’s figure atop the wall. She was leaving behind a trail of blood.
Hundreds of Eidolons were trying to cross over, climbing over one another in their desperation to reach the other side, but every attempt ended the same way. Andrea’s blade moved through them with frightening precision, cutting down anything that managed to get close enough.
"We should be able to open the gates if we get past her."
He turned and looked at the Divine Priest.
The Divine Priest wasn’t really in the mood to fight Andrea a third time. The first encounter had been bad enough, and the second time, he had no choice but to fight her. But now, things are different.
He had absolutely no intention of throwing himself into another battle with that scary woman if he didn’t have to, He would much rather stand aside and let the new Priest take center stage.
"I’m not fighting her." The new Priest suddenly spoke after realizing that the Divine Priest was about to con him.
Tsk.
The Divine Priest clicked his tongue, mildly annoyed that his intentions had been seen through so quickly.
"Just one of us is no match for her, so we fight her together, kill her, and open the gates."
The new Priest silently studied the Divine Priest, he still didn’t trust him.
There was something about the older Priest that made him reluctant to turn his back on him, and the fact that he had already tried to push him toward fighting Andrea alone only reinforced his suspicion.
But the Divine Priest was genuinely stronger than he was.
And if they were going to get past Andrea and open the gates, he needed his power.
"Agreed, we will fight her together, and kill her together. Then we share the credit".
The Divine priest nodded in agreement.
... ...
"Is this all your bravado is capable of achieving?" the Chief declared proudly.
He had only one arm, yet he was still able to completely dominate Elias in their battle, overpowering him despite the enormous difference in their physical sizes.
Meanwhile, Elias’s skin continued to dent inward with every collision. The damage was beginning to pile up across his metallic body, and soon enough, he was visibly panting as he struggled to keep up with the Chief’s relentless attacks.
Even some of his punches were failing to connect properly, while the power behind each attack was gradually weakening.
"I achieved enlightenment under the Storm and Blizzard," the Chief continued. "I was just like the other members of my clan once. But I was chosen for greatness. The day I saw the world in ways no one else in my clan could, that was the day I decided to conquer all. And that is my right."
Elias didn’t know what he was talking about, nor was he paying any attention to the Chief’s speech. He simply jerked forward and grabbed the Chief by the waist, attempting to force him down. However, the Chief saw it coming and immediately drove his knee into Elias’s face, following it with another strike until blood actually began dripping from Elias’s nose.
Elias was stunned. This was the first time he had bled since awakening, and for a second, he simply stared at the blood that had appeared on his hand after wiping his nose.
"Bow. I went beyond the Dormant Rank centuries ago. What makes you think you can face me, Meeeee? I deserve all of this. I built all of this. Meeeeeeee!"
The Chief sent a punch downward toward Elias’s face, putting everything behind the attack. But Elias somehow managed to raise his fist in time and caught it squarely in his palm.
