My Twin Dao Companions Are Reincarnated Empresses

Chapter 95: The Newlyweds’ Next Step

  • Next Chapter

After one week of nonstop copulating, Gu Yuan and his two wives were finally forced to stop when they received a guest: his mother-in-law.

"Son-in-law? What happened to you?" Su Yulan asked worriedly.

It was only natural for her to be concerned. Unlike her two daughters, whose faces practically glowed, Gu Yuan looked as though his life had been sucked right out of him, dark circles hanging beneath his eyes.

"I’m fine," he answered calmly.

The stamina of those two reincarnated empresses seemed limitless, but he had enjoyed himself too. A few days of rest, and he would be back to normal.

"Still, take these supplements." Su Yulan handed him a few items, then added with a concerned look, "You need to take better care of your health. We can’t have you falling ill before you give me a grandchild."

So it’s fine if I fall ill after giving you that grandchild? Gu Yuan stared at her with a deadpan expression.

In the end, he simply thanked her and accepted the items.

"The other guests have already started taking their leave, and we won’t be staying much longer either," Su Yulan said, turning to her daughters. "Do you really want to stay here instead of coming with us?"

"Sorry, Mother, but this place is our home now," Ji Yue replied.

Su Yulan didn’t insist. Instead, she considered the matter for a moment before asking, "Then should I leave some Ji Clan guards? Perhaps a few maids as well?"

"No, Ruxi is enough."

Su Yulan fell silent briefly before going over to hug her daughters, then Gu Yuan. Once they parted, she smiled and said, "I’ll try to come visit every now and then."

With that, Su Yulan took her leave.

Gu Yuan and the twins didn’t return to their bedchamber. Instead, they headed to his room, or more accurately, his original cave abode, which had become a sort of sitting and cultivation room.

The three sat around the low table, and as if fulfilling a promise, Ji Yue began preparing tea. She had behaved normally in front of her mother earlier, but the memories of her shameless behavior over the past week still lingered in her mind, bringing a faint blush to her cheeks whenever she thought about them.

It’s because it was my first time. That’s why I behaved like that.

Next time will be different!

Or so she told herself as she held out one cup of tea to her sister and another to her husband.

Under the table, the pair were anything but idle. Fingers moved with deliberate intent, tracing and pressing in places that left little room for innocence, and neither seemed inclined to stop.

Gu Yuan accepted the cup, inhaled the fragrant steam, and took a measured sip, though his free hand remained occupied. Ji Yan simply turned her own cup slowly between her fingers without drinking, her other hand equally busy.

Ji Yue looked at the pair, who seemed to think their little actions had gone unnoticed, and a faint smile touched her lips as she spoke.

"Now that we’ve officially married, consummated our marriage, and even found the Ascension Door, our main purpose for coming to the Cangchen World has been fulfilled."

"We sisters will probably focus on our cultivation from now on and ascend as quickly as possible."

Gu Yuan blinked. Even his hand beneath the table stopped moving, drawing a sharp glare from Ji Yan, who had already been close to the edge.

He paid the glare little mind. Right after the wedding night, his wives are telling him they intended to leave away... the thought didn’t sit well with him.

Then he remembered something and decided to clarify it. "Can you explain the cultivation realms to me? And when can you ascend?"

Ji Yue nodded and began explaining.

Beyond the realms he already knew from the Golden Mountain Scripture, namely Qi Refinement, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Spiritual Core, Embryo, Void, and Unity, there were only two more realms in the mortal world: Tribulation and Severing.

"You can ascend once you reach the Tribulation Realm, and that’s what we intend to do," Ji Yue explained.

Gu Yuan hummed thoughtfully. His hand resumed its slow, unconscious movement beneath the table as he considered the matter.

The twins were currently in the Embryo Realm, with three more major realms to go.

Cultivation at higher realms took far longer than at lower ones. So even with their extraordinary talent, it would probably take at least a couple of centuries, or perhaps a little less. Either way, it was still a long time.

In other words, he didn’t need to worry about them ascending anytime soon.

Gu Yuan nodded to himself, feeling considerably better. Then, curiosity got the better of him, and he asked, "You said your main business in the Cangchen World was done. That means you still have other matters to take care of, right? What are they?"

Ji Yue smiled, seemingly happy to indulge her husband’s curiosity.

"I do not believe in coincidences."

"Hm?" Gu Yuan wasn’t sure what that had to do with his question... until she continued.

"When two things that should have no connection cross paths, I tend to suspect Fate is at work."

"The situation in the Cangchen World is no different."

"Not only did we find the Ascension Door here. You appeared in this world, too."

She shook her head lightly. "Do you truly think that is a coincidence? I don’t."

"So you want to find out the reason?" Gu Yuan asked, to confirm.

"Yes."

"Good luck, then. I wish you success."

He said it as casually as if the matter had nothing to do with him.

Ji Yue chuckled but offered no further explanation.

Why does that laugh sound so ominous? Gu Yuan tried to convince himself that he was imagining things, even as his instincts warned him that trouble was practically knocking at the door.

"Anyway." Ji Yue took out a jade vial of crimson liquid and held it out to him. "Take this."

"What is it?"

After a brief pause, she answered, "It’s our Yin Essence."

Yin Essence? Gu Yuan thought, and then it hit him: it was the essence of their first night, the essence of their virginity.

"So that we would not be disturbed on our wedding night, I arranged a small formation that absorbed our Yin Essence when our virginity was taken. It remains immensely beneficial, so I collected it in this jade vial."

Gu Yuan fell silent as the pieces clicked into place. He had indeed sensed an unusual disturbance when he took their virginity, though he had paid it little attention at the time.

After a moment, he asked, "How am I supposed to use it? I don’t need to drink it directly, do I?"

"You don’t want to drink our essence?" Ji Yan interjected before Ji Yue could answer, her tone openly teasing. "After everything you forced Yue to swallow?"

"You really think I’d have a problem drinking your sweet nectar?" Gu Yuan asked. He drew his hand out from under the table, fingers wet with unknown fluids, and, holding both their gazes, slowly licked them clean.

"Ah... it really is sweet," he remarked, savoring the taste, and both sisters blushed at the sight.

Ji Yue coughed. "You don’t need to drink it. You can prepare a bath and add it in, or simply absorb its properties with your spiritual power."

"That’s good." Gu Yuan let out a quiet sigh of relief.

He had no objection to enjoying their sweetness, directly from the source was even better. But drinking what was essentially their virgin blood from a bottle was another matter entirely.

"Now that we’re done with all that, let’s go. There’s a place I want us to visit together." Ji Yue stood up.

"Where to?" Gu Yuan and Ji Yan asked at almost the same time.

Ji Yue only smiled.

"You’ll find out when we arrive."
