My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 71: Hana... lost her memory?
In Karua City, Orland finally opened his eyes slowly. He blinked several times before looking around the room.
Kevin, Zahn, Hans Xin, and even their three aunts were busy packing their belongings.
Kevin glanced at him briefly. "You’re awake?" he asked without really waiting for an answer. His hands continued moving as he packed things into a suitcase.
Meanwhile, Hans’s subordinates kept walking in and out of their room, carrying the belongings they had been using during their stay at the hospital.
Orland swallowed. He clearly still didn’t understand his current situation.
"What are you doing?" he finally asked.
Zahn, who was still packing snacks into his backpack, glanced at Orland.
"Your injuries are still pretty serious, so you should rest a little longer. We’re leaving for Melvin City soon. Sean and his father haven’t contacted us at all after searching for Mom for more than two hours."
"Melvin City? Your mother hasn’t been found yet? Are you going to leave me here?" he asked in disbelief.
Hans nodded casually. After finishing packing his belongings, which were the fewest among them all, he sat back down on the sofa.
" We have to find Hana. Dion is completely unreliable. If I let him stay by Hana’s side and monopolize her for himself, Hana will really leave me behind and choose that bastard over me."
Orland slowly massaged his temples before looking at them one by one.
"You’re planning to leave a patient here all alone?"
"This hospital belongs to you. Didn’t you buy it?" Kevin asked casually. "Hans Xin has also reorganized the entire Karua region. He’s even replaced the mayor of Karua with one of his own people. You can relax and stay in this hospital to recover."
Everyone nodded in agreement with Kevin’s words.
Orland chuckled at how indifferent his own son was toward him.
"Kevin, aren’t I your father?"
He then turned his gaze toward his three aunts. Not one of them had asked how he was doing this entire time.
"Aunts, are you going to leave me behind, too? I’m your nephew."
Jexy, who was lying on the bed closest to Orland, let out a harsh sigh before looking at him with displeasure.
"Orland," she called. "Did you lie to me? You asked me to erase everything from the past without leaving anything behind, but you didn’t even tell me that you..."
"Aunt," Orland interrupted, his expression stern.
Kevin frowned when he heard the matter being brought up again. He had already searched the entire database from seven years ago, but he hadn’t found a single suspicious file concerning Orland.
Jexy snorted softly before looking at Orland again.
"You got that girl pregnant and even let her carry your child? And you did it together with those three problematic men?" she asked in displeasure.
Hans Xin, who was standing nearby, immediately turned toward her with an annoyed look.
"Wait. What do you mean, problematic men? Me?" he protested. "You can blame your nephew and cover up all the trouble he’s caused, but how dare you call me a problematic man? Among the three of us, is there really anyone more problematic than your nephew?"
Jexy glanced at Hans without saying anything, then turned her attention back to Orland, who was still lying in bed.
"You never told us that you liked Hana. You also never told us that the girl you made suffer so much was Hana. You hid everything from us?"
Orland gave Jexy a sharp look. "Ask everyone to leave before we discuss this. There are children here," he said.
Jexy looked at Orland with a complicated expression before shifting her gaze between Zahn and Kevin.
"You two, go outside. There’s something we need to settle first."
Zahn looked up, clearly displeased.
"Why do we have to leave? What did he do to Mom?"
Kevin nodded along. "That’s our mother. What exactly have you all been doing?" he asked.
Seeing the atmosphere in the room growing increasingly tense, Hans finally cleared his throat. He glanced briefly at Orland. "You owe me for this, bastard."
Hans looked at Zahn and Kevin in turn. "Let’s go outside. This isn’t something you two can understand right now."
"No!" Kevin and Zahn shouted at the same time.
Hans ignored their protests and immediately dragged them both out of the hospital room.
After the door closed, Orland shut his eyes. He was still lying in the bed he had occupied for the past several days, trying to process everything he had just heard.
Jexy then stood up and approached the chair beside Orland.
"Do you know how that girl has been living all this time?" she asked.
Orland didn’t answer the question. Instead, he looked at Jexy.
"Didn’t you tell me when you first found Hana?"
"Do you think we knew Hana was carrying your children?" Jexy asked as she walked closer. "The four of you destroyed that girl’s life together, then got her pregnant?" Jexy paused before continuing in an irritated tone. "We’ve been taking care of Hana all this time, even pretending not to recognize her. We did all of that as compensation for helping cover up your mess seven years ago."
"Do you have any idea how desperately I’ve been searching for Hana over the past five years?" Orland shouted.
"Then do you have any idea how desperate Hana was when she came to this city without knowing anyone?" Jexy snapped, pointing at Orland’s face. "She cried constantly when she first arrived here. We don’t know what happened to her before she came, but she never wanted to tell us anything."
Jexy let out a heavy sigh before continuing.
"We tried to find out, but we couldn’t discover anything."
Jexy snorted.
"If we hadn’t accidentally found her at the pier back then, what do you think would have happened to that girl? Do you even know that when she arrived, she didn’t have a single penny to her name?"
Jezy, who was standing beside her, slowly shook her head.
"Fortunately, she was quite innocent back then. She was willing to accept our help without paying us anything, without even asking questions."
Orland fell silent for a moment before finally asking, "How has she been living all this time?"
Jexy gave him a bitter smile.
"She only truly began living after giving birth to your children."
She took a breath before continuing her explanation.
"Shortly before her due date, Hana disappeared from the rented place we’d arranged for her for three days. We tried to find her, but we couldn’t. When she finally returned, she was already carrying the three babies."
Jexy slowly shook her head.
"We don’t know exactly what happened to Hana. But when she came back, it was as if she had lost all her memories of those seven years."
Orland’s eyes, which had looked calm until then, finally flashed with alarm.
"Hana... lost her memory?" he asked.
