My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 51: Did I forget something?
Hana opened her eyes after noon. She blinked several times while looking around, then nervously swallowed.
She was in a luxurious-looking room, surrounded by pale white walls.
Hana slowly sat up, her gaze sweeping across the room hesitantly. The things around her looked expensive, yet they also felt strangely familiar. After a while, she got out of bed and walked toward the wardrobe beside her.
Her hand reached for a 10 × 17 cm photo frame placed there. It was a picture of her and Brandon when they were still in high school.
Her fingers unconsciously brushed against the surface of the photo. In it, Hana was wearing her sports uniform, while Brandon stood beside her holding a birthday cake for her.
Hana raised her head, trying to keep her tears from falling again.
However, when she saw the other items inside the wardrobe, her defenses crumbled once more. Everything belonged to her, including the gifts she used to make for Brandon. There were matching mugs, matching sports shoes, and even the couple rings they had owned in the past.
Hana finally lowered her head and hid her face between her knees. Her sobs grew louder.
A few moments later, footsteps sounded outside the door.
Hana hurriedly wiped away her tears before climbing back into bed. She pulled the blanket over herself as it had been before she woke up and closed her eyes just as the bedroom door opened.
Brandon entered with his personal doctor.
"Examine her," Brandon ordered.
The doctor nodded and immediately performed a brief examination, checking her hands, pulse, and blood pressure. Once he was done, he took a piece of paper from his pocket, recorded the examination results, and handed it to Brandon.
"Miss Hana is in fairly good health. Her blood pressure is normal, and her blood circulation shows no problems either. Based on this examination, Miss Hana is perfectly healthy. These are the vitamins she needs to take from now on. She hasn’t been getting enough fresh food, which is why her skin is a little pale and dry. As for everything else, we only need to conduct a thorough examination the day after tomorrow, especially to check the condition of her internal organs."
Brandon accepted the paper and nodded. His gaze settled on Hana’s body beneath the blanket.
"Is she really not malnourished?" he asked after a moment. "She looks thin."
The doctor was about to answer, but Brandon waved his hand first.
"Tell the kitchen to prepare nutritious meals for Hana starting now. I want every meal Hana eats to be the same as mine. Give the kitchen a list of her allergies as well. Don’t let them make even the slightest mistake," he added.
The doctor nodded before leaving the room.
As soon as the door closed, Brandon sat on the edge of the bed and took Hana’s hand. He kissed her palm twice.
"Are you still going to pretend to be asleep?" he asked. "How long are you planning to keep this up?"
Hana’s fingers trembled for a few moments. She bit her lip hard before finally opening her eyes.
Their gazes met immediately.
Hana hurriedly pulled her hand out of Brandon’s grasp.
"Why did you bring me here?" she asked, her face flushing because her deception had been exposed.
A faint smile appeared on Brandon’s face. He reached out to straighten Hana’s slightly messy black hair.
"You’ve grown up. How can you still behave so foolishly?"
Slap!
Hana pushed Brandon’s arm away from her hair, then got up and moved away from him.
Brandon said nothing. His expression remained as calm as before. "Come out. You haven’t eaten since last night. I’ve prepared your favorite food."
"Brandon, why did you bring me here? Do you really intend to make me your mistress?"
"Hana?"
Hana looked at him with mixed feelings. She shook her head, then lay back down with her back facing Brandon, having no intention of responding to him at all.
"Don’t you miss your mom and dad? It’s been a long time since you visited their graves, hasn’t it?"
"Are you trying to threaten me with my parents’ graves?"
Brandon shook his head. "I’ll take you to visit your uncle and aunt’s graves tomorrow morning. So be obedient and have a meal with me today."
Hana closed her eyes for a few moments before finally getting up and accepting Brandon’s outstretched hand.
"I want to see my three children too," Hana said as they began walking down the hallway of Brandon’s house.
"Not for now. Didn’t I tell you that you can’t see them until you give birth to my child?"
"Brandon. They’re my children, and besides, I really have no intention of—"
"We’re here. Sit down," Brandon interrupted.
Hana took a deep breath before sitting in the dining chair across from him.
A variety of dishes covered the table. They were all her favorite foods from the past, and they were still hot, clearly having just been prepared.
Brandon picked up a plate of abalone, separated the meat from the shell, and placed it on Hana’s plate.
"Finish it. I hired the chef who used to work at my grandmother’s house. Didn’t you like this back then?"
Hana picked up a spoon and began eating calmly. Brandon, who was sitting beside her, looked satisfied before starting to enjoy the abalone on his own plate.
"When are you two getting married?" Hana suddenly asked.
Brandon’s previously calm expression instantly darkened. He picked up the tissue beside him, wiped the corner of his mouth, and then looked back at Hana, who continued enjoying her meal without paying him any attention.
"Do you really have to ask something like that?"
"You two are still going to get married, and I can’t stay by your side forever. Your family certainly won’t agree to me interfering in your relationship either. I just want to prepare myself beforehand."
Clack!
Brandon slammed his cutlery down onto the plate.
"You don’t need to worry about them. I’ll take care of everything. This time, I won’t let them lay even a finger on you again. You don’t need to worry."
He took a deep breath before continuing. "So be quiet and be my mistress for the next few years. After Laila gives birth to my child, I’ll divorce her. You’ll be my only wife."
Hana frowned. She raised her face and looked into Brandon’s dark eyes. "Wait, did your family ever hurt me in the past? Hadn’t I never met any of your family members before? You only introduced me to your grandmother. Did I forget something?"
