My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 4: She was extremely poor?
Everyone froze the moment they heard another baby crying in the room. Even Hana herself.
The baby in her arms was crying extremely loudly. So loudly that everyone in the room immediately wanted to cover their ears because of how noisy it was.
Hana widened her eyes in disbelief. Her hand slowly traced the face of her third child, who was moving because of his intense crying.
His eyes were wide open, with blue irises, different from those of his two siblings.
"Hah... haha..." A laugh finally escaped Hana’s lips.
"My son. My son is alive again. He’s not dead," Hana said, her voice filled with happiness that everyone in the room could clearly feel.
Hana raised her head and looked at the doctor and the nurses surrounding her.
"Did you see? This baby, my baby isn’t dead!" Tears streamed down Hana’s face again. This time, however, they were not tears of sadness, but tears of happiness and relief.
The doctor finally nodded and looked at Hana.
"This is truly a miracle. The baby and the mother were both almost dead, but now they’re both crying because they’re still alive," one of the nurses sighed.
"Ma’am, now let us take care of the baby first. Your condition is more critical right now. We need to take precautions to make sure you don’t suffer any further bleeding."
Hana nodded, then kissed her third baby and handed him to one of the nurses before lying back down on the bed, allowing the doctor beside her to treat the tear in the lower part of her body.
Hana’s face turned slightly pale as she felt the doctor stitching the tear in her lower body.
Hana wiped the cold sweat from her face. She truly had no idea that a dream could last this long, or be this painful and emotional.
After half an hour passed, the tear in Hana’s lower body had finally been stitched.
"Ma’am, it’s finished," the doctor said as she put away the surgical instruments beside her.
"You can rest now. The baby has also been cleaned. He’ll sleep in the baby box beside you," the doctor said.
Hana nodded. "Um... Doctor, thank you."
The doctor and the nurses in the room finally left after checking Hana’s IV and confirming that her condition had returned to normal.
Hana slowly closed her eyes after looking at her three babies, who were now also sleeping soundly.
Hana smiled unconsciously.
"Ugh... finally, this dream will be over. I’ll contact Brandon after this and apologize. He’ll forgive me, right? After all, I really didn’t mean to reject him when he kissed my lips yesterday. I was just scared," Hana said.
Her eyes remained tightly closed after a while. The room became silent again, without a single sound.
However, the next morning, Hana’s body tensed when she realized that she had not woken up in her own bedroom, but was still in her hospital room.
Hana opened her mouth wide.
"What the hell is going on? Is there something wrong with me? How... how can I still be inside this dream? Didn’t I already sleep inside this dream?"
People said that if you fell asleep inside your dream, you would soon wake up in the real world. But... how could she still be here?
Hana swallowed heavily. She gripped her hair with both hands before nodding.
Hana struggled to walk to the bathroom in her hospital room. However, the moment she entered, her body became even more rigid.
The face staring back at her from the mirror was incredibly similar to the face she had in her previous world.
Extremely similar, even down to her beautiful double eyelids. However, her face looked slightly more mature than her previous one.
Hana threw herself against the bathroom wall.
"Is this not a dream?" Hana shook her head in disbelief.
"How is this possible? Did I enter a novel?"
Hana shook her head again.
She had never read a novel with a theme like this. How could she have entered a novel like this?
Hana nodded, then hurriedly left the bathroom.
Hana checked the cabinet beside her bed.
She opened the drawers one by one. However, she found nothing. There were only a few worn-out clothes inside.
Hana slapped her forehead hard.
"Damn it! Does the owner of this body not even have a phone?"
Hana shifted her gaze toward her bed. She slowly searched through it, still trying to find the phone belonging to the owner of this body.
"This is the twenty-first century. There’s no way this body doesn’t have a phone."
Hana’s hospital room instantly became a complete mess.
"Ma’am? What’s wrong?" asked the nurse who brought Hana breakfast and entered the room.
Hana looked up at the nurse.
"Did you... see my phone?" Hana asked.
The nurse frowned as she looked at the condition of the room in front of her, which looked like a shipwreck.
"Ma’am, are you sure you’re not mistaken?" the nurse finally said after placing Hana’s breakfast on the cabinet beside the bed.
"Mistaken? What do you mean?" Hana asked in confusion.
"You came here last night without bringing anything except a black plastic bag containing clothes and your old wallet."
Hana blinked, still unable to accept reality.
She had come here to give birth carrying nothing but a plastic bag containing worn-out clothes and an old wallet?
The nurse slowly shook her head before beginning to tidy Hana’s room.
"Ma’am, you just gave birth. Your body is still weak. Please don’t move around too much," the nurse advised as she continued cleaning the room.
"Nurse, didn’t any of my family come? My father, my mother? My husband?" Hana asked.
"You’re an orphan, and..." the nurse said more quietly. "You were pregnant without a husband. You were the one who explained this to us yesterday before we agreed to help you give birth."
Hana opened her mouth wide, clearly unable to accept reality.
"Can I know where this is? Who am I? And what year is it now?" Hana asked one question after another.
After she finished, the nurse quickly helped Hana lie back down.
"Ma’am, you must be stressed after giving birth to three babies at once, right? I’ll explain everything tomorrow morning after you’ve finished receiving treatment and have been cleared to go home."
"Your identification and wallet are being held by the hospital as collateral because you didn’t have enough money to pay the hospital bill yesterday," she added.
"Huh?" Hana asked in disbelief.
Had she really entered a body that looked almost identical to her body in her original world, only to find that she was extremely poor?
And even pregnant out of wedlock?
Hana no longer knew what to say.
