My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 35: We’re truly over
On the other side, in Karua City, Hana stared at the man and woman sitting in front of her with an annoyed expression.
"Hana Klein, right?" the woman asked.
Hana frowned. "Have I offended you?"
"You’re asking if you offended me?" The woman picked up the iced coffee on the table and drank it gracefully. "Stay away from Brandon. He is my fiancé. Don’t make me do something crazy to you."
Hana took a deep breath. "Miss Laila... let me clarify one thing first. Brandon and I have absolutely no relationship. We broke up seven years ago. I already have children and I’m no longer interested in him. You don’t need to worry. And as for why I’m here... instead of threatening me, you should help me leave this residence. Brandon’s subordinates are guarding the exits twenty-four hours a day. They won’t let me leave this place at all."
Laila sneered. "Hana... are you trying to deceive me? You must have deliberately appeared here because you heard Brandon was going to marry me, right? You want to make him cancel our engagement. Hana, you’re too petty! I’m telling you, that will never happen. Get rid of those ridiculous hopes of yours. Wasn’t the lesson his family gave you enough to make you realize your place back then? And now you still want to approach him again?"
"A lesson? Wait, what do you mean?" Hana asked.
Laila put down her glass and gestured for the man beside her to speak.
The man nodded and took a document out of his bag. "Miss Hana, we will give you one million dollars—right now—if you’re willing to sign this document."
Hana stared strangely at the document in front of her.
Were they stupid? What were they doing? She had offered to leave for free as long as they helped her get out and escape Brandon’s subordinates watching her. Yet now these people were actually trying to make her leave with money?
Hana looked at the two people in front of her again before reaching for the document.
There was only one page with several clauses. Hana skimmed through it. The main point of the agreement was that she had to leave and completely disappear from Brandon’s side.
"What if he looks for me?" Hana asked.
"Miss, we will decide where you will go after this so that Mr. Brandon can no longer find you."
"But I have five-year-old children. They still need to go to school, and I don’t want my children to lose the opportunity to receive a good education just because of this."
"You can rest assured, Miss," the man said, reassuring her again. "We won’t send you to some remote city without access to education. We only want to keep you away from Mr. Brandon. As for the education of your three children, we have already arranged it. It isn’t an elite school, but it isn’t an ordinary school either. None of the graduates from that school will become failures."
"Are you sure?" Hana asked to make sure.
"Yes, I’m sure. And the one million dollars is only an advance payment from my young lady. You no longer need to work hard just to support your children."
Hana reached for the pen beside her and began scribbling her signature on the paper. However, after only a few strokes, the door beside her was kicked open from outside.
Everyone inside the room immediately turned toward it.
A man with a perfect appearance stood there calmly, wearing a black suit. He stepped inside and walked toward Hana.
Hana unconsciously held her breath. This man was truly frightening when he was genuinely angry. He had not changed even in the slightest.
Brandon grabbed the paper in front of Hana and tore it into several pieces. He did not look at Hana at all. His eyes were fixed on Laila, who was now sitting there with a calm expression.
"Take Laila out. If I hear that you allowed her into my territory without my permission again, you’ll find out the consequences," Brandon said in a low voice.
"Yes, Sir," replied the two subordinates following behind him.
Laila smiled sarcastically. "Brandon, don’t forget, we are engaged. You want to make her your mistress and keep her by your side. Do you think my family will agree to this?"
Brandon looked back at her with a meaningful smile. "Laila... in a family marriage like ours, it’s perfectly normal for me to have several mistresses. You can rest assured about that. Your child will become my successor, and our families’ cooperation will continue. But as for Hana... don’t even try to touch her. You know that she is my boundary, don’t you?"
Laila picked up the iced coffee on the table and threw it at Brandon.
Splash!
A glass of cold coffee soaked the man’s face. "Brandon, do you want to have the best of both worlds in your life?" she asked.
Brandon wiped the coffee from his face without changing his expression in the slightest.
"Laila... have you forgotten that your father also has several mistresses by his side? Besides... doesn’t your mother also keep several young men in her residence?" he sneered.
"I won’t do anything to you just because of this, but remember one thing. If you dare cross my boundary again, I won’t hesitate to cancel our families’ cooperation agreement. I’d like to see who will suffer the greater loss if that happens," he added.
"Brandon!" Laila shouted, her face turning red.
"Take Laila away," Brandon said.
Laila gritted her teeth before walking away without saying another word.
As soon as the door closed, Brandon pulled out the chair beside Hana and took the tissues on the table to wipe his face.
Hana glanced at him and immediately stood up.
"Hana." Brandon’s voice made Hana stop in her tracks.
"Didn’t I already tell you that I would take care of your life in the future?" he asked.
Hana took a deep breath. "Brandon... we’re truly over. Don’t ever force things like this again in the future. You already have your own life, and so do I."
Brandon sneered. He stood up from his chair and casually threw the used tissues in his hand away. "You said... we each have our own lives?"
Hana nodded in response.
Brandon pushed her until her back hit the wall. "Look into my eyes, Hana. Tell me—you don’t like me, and you don’t want to see me again. Say it without blinking. Prove it to me. Make me believe that this is truly what you want."
