My Taming System Makes Me Overpowered
Chapter 283: Morning in the realm
Chapter 286: Morning in the Sovereign’s Realm
Morning in the apex of the citadel did not arrive with a harsh solar glare. Instead, as Vince stirred within the deep obsidian dais, the towering panoramic arches automatically shifted, softening the starlight of a distant binary system into a gentle, honeyed amber glow. The light spilled across the chamber in slow, liquid waves, gilding the edges of silk and crimson fur, catching on the faint sheen of dried sweat and the soft gleam of residual twilight magic that still clung to skin.
The heavy crimson furs remained warm from the long, uninterrupted night. Vince lay back against the silver silk pillows, his unbuttoned dark robe draped casually over his waist, the fabric doing little to hide the powerful lines of his body. His dark amethyst eyes were calm and clear as he watched the soft rise and fall of the consorts sleeping alongside him. The air still carried the layered scent of crushed star-lilies, warm skin, and the faint, electric aftertaste of his origin matrix—richer now, denser, as if the room itself remembered every claim made in the dark.
To his right, Vetra remained deeply unconscious. Her dragon-kin tail lay heavy and relaxed across his shins, the scales warm and faintly textured against his skin. Her head rested squarely against his broad chest, one firm breast pressed soft and full against his ribs. Every so often a low, contented purr rumbled in her throat, completely devoid of her usual battle-hardened edge. The insides of her thighs still carried the faint, sticky evidence of the night; she had made no effort to clean herself before sleep.
On his left, Elena was curled tightly against his side, her silver hair tangled across his arm like fine threads of spun moon-glass. Her face, usually guarded by layers of clinical discipline, had smoothed into an expression of absolute, almost child-like tranquility. One slender leg was draped over his, the soft heat of her cunt still faintly slick where it rested against his hip. Even in sleep her body sought him, as if the rewritten systems of her mind refused to allow any distance.
Solaria was the first to wake.
Her amber eyes fluttered open, blinking softly against the warm amber light. The moment her gaze met Vince’s dark amethyst eyes, a brilliant, breathtaking flush bloomed across her cheeks and down the elegant column of her throat. The twilight mark over her chest hummed with a gentle, comforting heat, instantly aligning her heartbeat with his. She felt the echo of it lower, too—an answering warmth between her thighs where she was still tender, still faintly open from the thorough claiming of the night before.
"Good morning, my Vince," Solaria whispered, her voice husky and sweet with residual sleep. She shifted gracefully under the silk sheets, sliding up his chest until her soft breasts pressed against him, the stiff peaks of her nipples dragging lightly over his skin. She pressed a soft, reverent kiss against his chin, then another just beneath his jaw, lingering there to breathe him in. "Did... did you sleep well?"
"I rested sufficiently, Solaria," Vince replied smoothly, his deep velvet baritone vibrating against her cheek as his hand moved to lightly trace the curve of her spine, fingers following the delicate line down to the small of her back. "Though your sisters made sure the night was far from quiet."
Solaria giggled softly, a rare, melodious sound that brought a sleepy groan from Vetra.
"Keep it down, Sun-Princess," Vetra mumbled without opening her crimson-gold eyes, burying her face deeper into the crook of Vince’s neck while her arm tightened around his waist. Her tail gave a lazy, possessive twitch across his legs. "Some of us spent eight hours maintaining a dragon-fire core..."
"And whose fault was that?" Elena murmured softly, her golden eyes opening slowly. She didn’t move from Vince’s side, simply stretching her slender limbs beneath the furs with a lazy, cat-like satisfaction that made the sheets shift and revealed the soft, flushed skin of her inner thighs. "If I recall correctly, you were the one demanding Vince demonstrate his absolute authority for a third time."
Vetra opened one glowing eye, a wide, sharp-fanged smirk spreading across her lips. She shifted just enough that her bare breasts pressed more firmly against Vince’s side, the sensitive peaks dragging deliberately across his skin. "And I’d demand a fourth time if my hips weren’t currently turned to jelly." Her free hand slid under the furs, palm resting possessively over the soft, heavy weight of him beneath the robe. "Still feels good though. Thick. Warm. Mine."
Lyrielle sat up near the foot of the bed, her silver hair cascading over her bare shoulders like liquid light. The morning glow painted her slender elven form in soft gold and shadow. She smiled warmly at the banter, rising from the furs with fluid grace to fetch a silver pitcher of chilled star-nectar from a nearby obsidian table. The cool air of the chamber kissed her skin as she moved, and the soft, bare sway of her hips and breasts was unhurried, unashamed.
"The morning temperature is ideal, Vince," Lyrielle said smoothly, pouring a golden stream into a crystal goblet before kneeling beside him to offer it. Her violet eyes glowed with quiet devotion as she watched him take the cup. "And the central garden realms report complete stability. Everything waits for your pleasure."
Barnaby rubbed her eyes with her small fists, sitting up beside Vince’s lap with a wide, cute yawn. Her golden lotus core bloomed with a bright, cheerful radiance, scenting the entire bedchamber with the sweet aroma of fresh lotus blossoms. The soft glow washed over the sheets and the tangled limbs around her, turning the residual marks of the night into something almost sacred.
"I want star-berries for breakfast, Vince!" Barnaby chirped happily, throwing her arms around his waist and nuzzling into the warm plane of his stomach. Her small body radiated pure, uncomplicated affection.
Vince took a slow sip of the star-nectar, the cool sweetness cutting through the lingering heat of the night, before setting the crystal chalice aside. He wrapped his broad arm around Barnaby, pulling her close while his dark amethyst gaze swept across the rest of his harem—Solaria still flushed and soft against his chest, Vetra’s possessive heat and smirk, Elena’s quiet, rewritten adoration, Lyrielle’s serene offering of service. The cosmos outside was quiet, balanced, and completely under his thumb—leaving nothing for him to do today except indulge every whim of the women who adored him.
"Elena," Vince commanded smoothly, a dark, seductive smirk touching his lips as his free hand drifted down to rest possessively on Solaria’s hip, thumb stroking the faint bruises still blooming there. "Cancel any administrative reviews for the next century."
Elena let out a soft, breathless laugh, resting her chin on his bare shoulder. Her golden eyes shone with pure, uninhibited contentment as she pressed a lingering kiss to the side of his neck.
"Already erased from the archives, Vince."
