My Talent Skill Mutated
Chapter 374 - 137: The Three True Gods
The three True Gods also stepped aboard the battleship.
The interior was enormous, with over a hundred people gathered inside.
The battleship roared to life, tearing through the void as it headed away from the Starry Sky Ancient City.
Inside the battleship, the three True Gods scanned the crowd. The black-robed True God spoke in a heavy voice, "Once you reach the battlefield, you’re on your own. If you encounter grave danger, you can call for help, and support will be dispatched. Understood?"
"Understood!" the crowd replied in unison.
The black-robed True God nodded. Without another word, he sat down and closed his eyes to rest.
The other two True Gods remained silent.
Chen Yu and the others stood perfectly still. They couldn’t be too brazen in the presence of True Gods, after all.
——
The battleship traveled faster than the speed of light.
Four hours later, the battleship came to a halt with a low rumble, hovering above a barren mountain ridge.
The hatch opened, and the participants filed out of the battleship.
"This event will last for six months and will conclude at that time. Is that clear?"
The Silver-haired True God scanned the crowd, offering a reminder.
Everyone nodded.
Then, the three True Gods transformed into streaks of divine light and vanished, the enormous battleship disappearing along with them.
"Good luck!"
The voice of a True God echoed in their ears, snapping everyone back to their senses.
They looked around to see a desolate landscape, with nothing but barren ridges piercing the sky.
After exchanging glances, the crowd began to disperse.
Soon, only a few dozen figures remained.
Chen Yu was among them.
As were the elites from the Azure Sky Star and the Pole Star.
Every single one of them was a Ninth-level Martial Artist.
Several of whom were even Late-stage Nine.
By comparison, Chen Yu and his two companions from the Ancestor Star were particularly conspicuous.
However, the elites from the other two worlds didn’t dare to underestimate them. After all, these were the three people their own leaders took seriously.
"Brother Chen, as per our prior agreement, if any of our three parties calls for help, anyone nearby must provide support," Nangong Ba said.
Chen Yu nodded.
Following that, everyone present exchanged contact information. Adding contacts allowed them to see the location and distance of anyone calling for help, enabling them to use their wristbands to attempt a rescue.
"Then I’ll make the first move. Farewell!" Without any further ado, Nangong Ba stepped into the air and vanished in the blink of an eye.
The elites from the Azure Sky Star also shot off in various directions.
Under a points-based system, it was difficult to form alliances, at least in the beginning.
After all, the event was set to last for half a year—which converted to a full year of world time. That was a long time.
Soon after, Jiang Can also gave a brief farewell and left.
Soon, only Chen Yu, Zhuge Qingtian, and Dongfang Yao remained.
"Brother Yu, let’s go our separate ways for now. It’ll be more advantageous, and we can’t afford to fall too far behind," Zhuge Qingtian said.
"I agree," Dongfang Yao added.
"Alright. You two be careful and stay in touch," Chen Yu said, looking at them.
The two of them nodded and then headed off in different directions.
Watching them go, Chen Yu remained where he was and activated his Life Force Field to scan his surroundings.
The Stellar Battlefield suppressed his Force Field perception, but not too severely. He could still clearly scan a radius of several thousand kilometers.
A radius of several thousand kilometers might seem vast, but in the context of the entire Stellar Battlefield, it was less than a drop in the ocean.
The sheer scale of the Stellar Battlefield was measured in light-years.
Not even a True God could instantly reach every corner of the Stellar Battlefield.
After one last scan of the desolate mountains, Chen Yu’s figure flickered and vanished from sight.
...
The scattering of over a hundred people was like a single drop of water falling into the ocean, creating not a single ripple.
But just as Chen Yu and the others began to move, back in the Starry Sky Ancient City, the three True Gods sat in a villa, watching a multi-panel screen before them.
There were over a hundred panels, each tracking one of the elites from their respective worlds.
"I’m afraid many will die this time," the Silver-haired True God said with a sigh.
"Without death, there can be no new life. Experiencing the cruelty of the battlefield is a baptism for them," the female True God said calmly.
"A rebirth through fire. We’ll see if they have what it takes," the black-robed True God added, his tone just as placid.
"By the way, how are the arrangements for the Divine Hall’s assessment coming along?" the black-robed True God asked, turning to the female True God.
"Rest assured, everything is proceeding according to plan," the female True God replied coolly.
"The baptism in the Divine Pool... will your disciple have a chance to break through to the True God realm this time?" the Silver-haired True God asked her.
"The Divine Pool is merely an aid. It will depend on whether his own foundation is deep enough," the female True God said calmly.
"If he succeeds, the Human Race will have another great deity," the black-robed True God sighed.
"It comes down to the right time, the right place, and his own fortune. That is beyond our control," the female True God stated.
"Speaking of which, you seem to think highly of this Chen Yu. His abilities are quite unique. What is his ultimate power?" the black-robed True God asked the female True God.
The female True God shook her head. "Even I can’t discern his abilities. However, I feel he’s no weaker than Nangong Ba."
"You can’t discern them either?" the Silver-haired True God asked, looking at her in surprise.
The female True God replied calmly, "It’s perfectly normal. It’s not as if either of you could figure it out, could you?"
"The source of his Superpower is very strong, and he has more than one. If he also possesses an ultimate power, I fear his future achievements could surpass our own," the black-robed True God mused, his eyes fixed on the screen.
"He really resembles the Great Emperor. I’m starting to wonder if he’s the Great Emperor’s illegitimate son," the silver-haired elder remarked with a sigh, watching the screen.
"..."
"You’re such a gossip," the female True God said, shooting him a look.
The Silver-haired True God chuckled. "I’m just curious! To resemble the Great Emperor so closely... if he really were his illegitimate son, that would be quite something."
"We don’t even know if the Great Emperor is still alive. It’s been so long without any news," the black-robed True God lamented.
"Whether he is or not, we can at least maintain the current situation," the female True God said.
"You two can keep watching. I’m going to get some sleep." The Silver-haired True God stood up, and his figure vanished from the sofa.
