My Taboo Harem!

Chapter 1228: Infinity Control… The Fallen Mountain!

  • Next Chapter

The storm thickened until the horizon disappeared behind revolving walls of frost and veins of black-white Void-Ice flashed through the vortex like wounds opening into a deeper winter, while the frozen land beneath the Coffer groaned as entire strata of ancient glacier answered Phei’s authority.

He had barely moved his hand.

All eleven World Transcendents looked up.

The Vampire Lady’s ancient crimson eyes widened as she followed the impossible precision of the storm and watched billions upon billions of frozen particles move beneath a single will.

"Infinity Control..." The words escaped quietly, yet the Blood Elf heard them:

Her four skeletal wings stiffened.

Carmine haze had already stained kilometres of winter red, but now that crimson world was being seized from beneath her. The snow coloured by her blood no longer drifted according to her presence. It joined Phei’s vortex, carrying the vermilion stain upward until immense scarlet ribbons spiralled through the white storm.

Her completely crimson eyes rose towards Phei who no longer bothered to hide: "Infinity Control."

There was no admiration in her voice but only recognition and that recognition curdled into wary.

The Vampire Lady retreated through the air, her black-crimson mist drawing close around her body as she stared at the storm. "How does a Mortal possess that?"

No one answered.

The question had already begun troubling more than her.

Infinity Control surpassed ordinary elemental manipulation. Phei was not gathering ice and overpowering it with essence. Every particle within his authority had become an extension of his will. A mountain required no lifting when every crystal composing it had already accepted the command to rise. A blizzard required no restraint when every frozen shard hidden within its winds belonged to him.

Force became unnecessary.

The environment was obedient.

And Anarctica was almost entirely winter.

That was what made the sight horrifying.

The Blood Elf could stain the frost, the Undead Queen could murder its motion, perhaps the Gorgon could petrify it and Half Behemoth-Dwarf could pulverise it:

But Phei commanded it.

The distinction made several ancient beings stare at the nineteen-year-old Mortal floating above them with expressions they had probably not worn in centuries.

Phei’s smile deepened. "Now this feels more like home."

Below, the Blood Elf spread her skeletal wings and her power erupted outward.

The winter surrounding her darkened towards crimson as her presence expanded, but Phei’s Infinity Control seized the affected frost immediately. The red snow refused to scatter beneath her power before joined the greater vortex instead, its colour drawn into the rotation until rivers of blood-red winter revolved around Phei.

The Blood Elf’s expression shifted.

She swept one wing forward; her aura tore upward, dense with crashing pressure sharp enough to reduce a Mortal cultivator into crimson vapour. Before it could climb a hundred metres, the scarlet snow inside her aura separated from the force carrying it. Billions of particles turned at once, twisting the tempest sideways and feeding its own body into Phei’s vortex.

The Blood Elf’s assault came apart.

For the first time, a faint crack appeared in her composure.

That didn’t mean she had used her power, not really.. not even a single thing!

The Gorgon tested too as he lifted his head and several serpents opened their eyes towards the glacier fragments circling overhead.

Stone spread through them and blue-black ice dulled into grey, its structure hardening beneath the petrifying gaze, yet Phei curled his fingers before the transformation could finish. Every affected fragment shattered along its crystalline grain, dividing into millions of particles too small for the Gorgon’s sight to claim all at once.

The fragments escaped the spreading stone and rejoined the storm.

The serpents hissed.

Phei’s gaze moved briefly towards the Gorgon and the storm tightened around him.

Millions of crystals aligned with the eyes scattered through the creature’s living hair, each shard positioned to catch, fracture and scatter his sight through the vortex. The Gorgon’s serpents recoiled as their own petrifying gazes returned in broken reflections from thousands of directions.

For one breath, the ancient creature looked almost offended.

Phei could sympathise; it was deeply annoying when one’s own technique became rude.

The Vampire lady watched in silence, her mist pressing closer against her pale body. The Undead Queen’s black eyes rose from beneath her crown of bone, while the dead empire concealed behind her funeral robes stirred uneasily. Even the ancient Naga opened his third eye towards the young Dragon floating above them.

The five inner guards had emerged prepared to massacre whatever had stolen Danton.

Now none attacked; something had stolen their attention.

The absence of an absolute power but a kid playing with powers. Nothing of Phei scared them and after they confirmed his flashy Infinity Control, the pathetic cultivation base, they lost interest and were now wondering what had taken Danton really.

They could not feel presence of a trace of it and even Danton despite their far reaching senses.

__

The moment their eyes turned away from the flashy Phei... something happened!

BAAAAANNNNNGGGGGG!!!!

BOOOOOOMMM!!!!

__

Eira’s eyes grew wide and her gaze shifted downward and her expression changed; the corporeal pressure that had dominated the battlefield’s centre had weakened.

It still existed, heavy enough to compact the surrounding snow and make the atmosphere labour beneath it, yet the mountain at its heart was no longer standing.

Smoke and pulverized ice poured from an enormous crater directly beneath where suddenly now the Young Dragon stood from the previous spot.

’HOW?’

Phei floated near a crater when the last time she had seen him, an instant ago, he was just behind her when she turned to look at all 11.

The depression was vast enough to swallow several mansions, its rim had fractured into jagged shelves of blue-black glacier, while cracks spread outwards for hundreds of metres. Steam climbed from the depths of the crater in heavy clouds where superheated flesh had collided with ancient ice, and broken chains lay embedded throughout the crater walls.

Something enormous occupied the bottom.

The Vampire looked down first.

What little colour remained in her pale face disappeared, the Blood Elf followed her gaze and everyone else!

They’re eyes grew wide... it had only been just a second or two at most when they looked away at him and now after the huge blast and booming:-

Deep within the crater lay the Half Behemoth-Dwarf.

His gigantic body had been driven so deeply into the glacier that collapsed ice buried entire portions of him. One arm he’d fallen onto lay twisted across the crater floor, muscles still glowing dull red beneath skin split by the impact, while the other had disappeared beneath several tons of shattered frost. Chains that had once crossed his chest were snapped, bent or driven into the surrounding ice.

The giant’s head rested sideways against the bottom of the crater.

His eyes were closed; he was unconscious.

Silence spread through the 11 World Transcendents.

The Blood Elf’s four wings stopped beating before her crimson gaze travelled slowly from the fallen Half Behemoth-Dwarf towards Phei who stood above the crater looking at the huge body.

The Vampire did the same; their fear sharpened.

Infinity Control was horrifying enough for mortal but nothing that could tip a battle inn his favor even if the storm above them had become a single living weapon vast enough to swallow the basin, and a nineteen-year-old Mortal held every particle of it within his grasp.

The crater meant something else though!

Somewhere between Phei being violently expelled from their heads as a threat really and looking for what had taken Danton, something had struck the World Transcendent hard enough to bury him in Anarctica even before they sensed anything or even his fall itself.

None of them had witnessed the blow and none had even understood that the giant was falling until his pressure disappeared from beneath them and that boom.

The Blood Elf looked into the crater again.

Her blood mist trembled.

The Vampire’s lips parted, yet no words emerged. Even the Naga’s enormous serpentine body had become unnaturally still, his third eye narrowing upon Phei as though an ancient instinct had begun whispering that cultivation stages were no longer telling him enough.

Behind the Undead Queen, the invisible empire of corpses shifted.

Thousands of dead faces turned towards Phei, the movement was almost imperceptible, but Eira saw it.

So did Phei.

The dead were looking at him differently now.

Before, they had sensed prey concealed within the Void.

Now they were watching a question.

Above them, Infinity Control continued turning the entirety of winter around Phei and Eira. Red-stained snow, black-white Void-Ice and ancient frost devoured the horizon. The vortex broadened with every breath, its lower currents circling the Coffer while higher rings climbed into the dark heavens of the Dead Winter Realm.

Phei’s Primordial Blood pulsed.

Every frozen mountain within sight groaned; on the third beat, the entire basin seemed to breathe beneath his hand.

The Blood Elf’s wings drew closer to her body.

The Vampire retreated another step ready to attack! Something had happened and she didnt like the desire of finding out what, the other vampires reacted with her and took a stance facing Phei

The Gorgon lowered several of his living serpents, unwilling to let their eyes meet the countless reflective shards surrounding him. Even the Naga’s oceanic pressure folded nearer to his scales.

Eleven World Transcendents had entered Anactica believing themselves the monsters.

A Mortal had raised one hand and made winter disagree.

And Phei?

Phei merely looked down upon the broken giant... He could not help but wonder, in one of the cultivation rules, wasn’t not to underestimate your enemy ones of the most important or was reading the wrong novels?

Still smiling, Phei turned towards them, godly and out-of-world handsome!

Were they taking him seriously now... yet?
