My System Forces Me to Live off Women

Chapter 738 - 409: The Scenery Is Beautiful_3

  • Next Chapter

The whole trip seemed to have lost its meaning; no matter how beautiful the scenery was, it brought little enjoyment to anyone...

However, the girls’ low spirits were actually also related to the gradually rising altitude.

Because the journey was long and time was tight, Li Peifeng drove at a high speed, covering over 500 kilometers on the day of departure, from the 500-meter-altitude Celestial City to Ganzi County at 3,400 meters.

Along the way, they stopped at many sights along the route, grasslands, snowy mountains, lakes, nature reserves... The highest elevation reached was 5,300 meters when passing through Maerkang City, where they also saw many wild animals.

The scenery was indeed beautiful, and the experience novel. Yet, such drastic altitude changes in a short time had a major impact on the body, causing symptoms like dizziness, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and fatigue.

Li Peifeng had no reaction, but the four girls all showed symptoms of altitude sickness. Fortunately, they prepared oxygen tanks and medication for altitude sickness beforehand, so they were unharmed, though they did suffer a bit.

They arrived at the city center of Ganzi County around 8:00 PM, found a hotel to stay in, and except for Li Peifeng, the four were exhausted and fell asleep soon after entering the room.

The first day passed like this, and by the next day, the girls gradually adapted to the high-altitude environment, possibly due to the medication, and their symptoms improved significantly. By the third day, everyone was fully revitalized, smiles appearing on their faces as they truly began to enjoy the trip.

On the afternoon of their third day of departure, they arrived in Sapu, Nagqu, as planned. This is an incredibly beautiful spot that has only been discovered and made public in recent years, hailed as the "Eden in the Snow Mountains." The valleys are vast, the location remote, well-hidden, with no human settlements around, and for some reason, it hasn’t attracted many tourists.

While Sapu is the name of a mountain, the area not only boasts stunning snow mountains but is a collection of snowcaps, lakes, glaciers, and meadows. The original ecological landscape and natural scenery are truly breathtaking.

Only by witnessing the scenery here with one’s own eyes can one understand why the Tibetan Region is said to be the closest place to heaven, and why some of its mountains are called Divine Mountains, as the environment is indeed like a paradise!

"We’re here, we’re here, I want to get out of the car, hurry!"

Xu Manning was so excited seeing the view outside that she couldn’t contain herself. Zhao Qingge also urged to get out to walk around and breathe some fresh air.

"Right away, don’t rush."

Li Peifeng drove the RV off the road, parked on the grassland by the lake, and while the four girls went out to enjoy the view, he pulled out the awning and set up the dining table.

It was dinnertime, and if he could have a yak meat hot pot with the girls, drink, listen to the gentle breeze, and the trickling lake, while gazing at the cloud-shrouded Sapu snow mountain, the blue glaciers, and the spectacle of the sunset illuminating the mountains...

Beautiful, so beautiful that Li Peifeng felt as if he was living a dream.

"Come, let’s have a drink together."

Li Peifeng raised his glass with a big smile, and the four girls clinked glasses with him in agreement, their eyes fixed on the snow mountains and the lake, enamored and awed by the breathtaking scenery.

"Peifeng has been drinking, so why don’t we skip going back to the city for a hotel, let’s just stay here tonight."

Huang Tianxuan’s suggestion was approved by the other three, and Wu Wenyue nodded in agreement: "Let’s stay in the caravan for the night, and we can catch the sunrise in the morning."

Xu Manning added: "And we can also stargaze at night, having not seen the stars on the plateau yet."

Zhao Qingge agreed, and after agreeing, she seriously asked a question: "How do we sleep?"

Li Peifeng contemplated: "I don’t sleep much and don’t get tired, so I can sit at the driver’s seat and write. As for you four, just rest as you like; there’s plenty of bed space."

Xu Manning, recalling something, flashed a mischievous smile, her eyes a bit playful: "How could you not be tired after driving for so long every day... Still, come sleep with me in the middle seat-turned-bed. It’s big enough for three of us — myself, Yueyue, and you. Plus, we can open the sunroof to watch the stars."

There was a bit of a hint here...

Huang Tianxuan smirked: "I just checked with my phone, the altitude here is close to 5,000 meters. Sleeping is fine; doing anything extra could lead to trouble."

Wu Wenyue calmly sipped her drink: "What extra activity? With just over ten square meters of space in the car, any noise made at the front can be heard clearly in the back... Sister Xuan, what are you implying?"

"Nothing really, just warning a certain little rascal of the risks involved."

Xu Manning scoffed: "Your imagination runs wild; don’t project your own thoughts onto others, okay?"

"Hehe, I never even said who the little rascal was, yet you scrambled to defend yourself, Manning. I was talking about Peifeng."

"Don’t think I can’t tell, you’re clearly referring to me!"

While Huang Tianxuan and Xu Manning bickered, Zhao Qingge paused her chopsticks and looked at Li Peifeng seriously: "You sleep with me in the forehead bed."

"Sleep with you again?"

Li Peifeng didn’t respond, but Xu Manning was displeased: "You’ve shared a bed with her for two nights already, don’t push it!"

Li Peifeng laughed it off: "I already said I’m not sleeping on a bed... let’s eat before it gets completely dark."

In April, night falls late in the Tibetan Region. It wasn’t until after 7 PM that the sun fully set, and as the sunlight faded, the temperature dropped to single digits. The group finished their meal before it got too dark, cleaned up, and returned to the car.
