Chapter 428: Chapter 428: The Furious Big Sis

Under the encouraging gazes of Sean Hughes and the others, the young punk grew more and more animated as he spoke. He blurted out everything he had ever overheard, all the rumors he’d picked up, and the gossip that circulated among his crew, telling the police officers before him everything in one big rush.

’I have no idea if any of it is useful, but I’ll cast a wide net. If even one thing hits the mark, I’ll have earned myself some credit!’

Sean Hughes and the captain beside him listened, taking notes in their pads. After the punk had said everything he knew, the two of them put their heads together and discovered quite a few points that matched up.

"Alright. The police will verify the locations you’ve mentioned. If they’re correct, we’ll inform the judge of your contribution during your sentencing." Sean Hughes reached out and patted the young punk’s shoulder, showing his approval. At the same time, he turned his gaze to the crowd of punks squatting before him. "The same goes for all of you. As long as you can provide valid testimony or report locations like he did, you’ll all have the chance to get a reduced sentence, provided the information is genuine."

The punks, whose spirits had been utterly crushed just moments before, felt a sudden spark of hope ignite after hearing Sean Hughes’s words.

They might not have known much, but after years of watching over the territory, they had definitely heard a few things.

’Who cares if it’s true or not? Just report it first and see what happens!’

They all scrambled over each other to spit out everything they knew, terrified that someone next to them would say it first.

Fortunately, Sean Hughes and his team were prepared. One group of officers stood guard to prevent anyone from escaping, while another group, armed with recording pens and notebooks, documented the locations and various clues the punks were blurting out.

In their desperation to earn a lighter sentence, the men even divulged how many times Gary Dawson had visited, how long he stayed each time, and how many different women had been with him.

In less than half an hour, everyone’s notebooks were filled to the brim.

Looking at the completely drained punks, Sean Hughes waved his hand, signaling the officers on guard to take them away.

The remaining officers organized the information they had just received, filtering out the valuable leads. Once everyone was assembled, they set off for these locations in unison.

However, because this was a mission to rescue trafficking victims, they expected significant resistance. Therefore, in addition to their own forces, they coordinated with the local police stations in the victims’ areas.

Instantly, it wasn’t just the police stations near the Yorke Family’s hidden route that mobilized; many other stations also received their orders, dispatching teams to their destinations to surround the targets.

Back at the station, Zoe Sawyer pinpointed the location of the boss of the crew that had been surveilling the police, quickly reporting it to Evan Keller, who was already on standby.

Evan Keller rushed over with his team and, moving with incredible speed, cornered the boss in his house just as he was preparing to flee.

The boss looked at the police blocking all his escape routes, then at his phone screen showing the disconnected call. A wave of despair washed over him.

’If only I had fled the country when those two idiots got caught. I should have found a place outside the boss’s sphere of influence and laid low. I could have come out again after the heat died down.’

’Then I wouldn’t have ended up being caught by the police and abandoned by the boss.’

The boss glanced around, his eyes falling on the fruit knife on the coffee table and the sharp corner of the desk opposite him.

’If I had the guts, I could still kill myself and avoid the interrogation and sentencing to come.’

’I’m a dead man either way now that I’m caught. If I end it now, maybe I can spare myself some suffering.’

But he was afraid of pain. When it came to suicide, he just couldn’t bring himself to strike a fatal blow.

While the man was hesitating, Evan Keller finished setting up a perimeter. After confirming there were no gaps for him to escape through, he led his men and stormed in.

They slammed the boss to the ground and slapped handcuffs on him, twisting his arms behind his back.

’Well, that’s that. I’m caught. I missed my chance. No opportunity to kill myself even if I wanted to.’

Meanwhile, the boss, after hanging up the phone, calmly set her cell phone aside.

Looking at the subordinate standing respectfully a short distance away, she stood up, raised her leg, and delivered a powerful kick.

Caught completely off guard, the subordinate fell hard onto the ground.

The next second, he scrambled back to his feet and stood respectfully, head bowed, biting his lip hard, not daring to make a sound.

He was terrified that a cry of pain would earn him a second kick from the boss.

"A bunch of useless trash!" After the kick, the boss, apparently still not done venting, grabbed a nearby baseball bat and began smashing the doors and windows in a frenzy.

No one around dared to speak or move. They were afraid that the slightest movement would draw the boss’s attention, turning them into her personal punching bag.

’Out here, if you get beaten to death, there’s no one to get justice for you.’

’Hell, you’d be lucky if your corpse even got a proper burial!’

After about ten minutes of smashing things, the boss finally vented the fury in her heart.

Then, still holding the baseball bat, she threw it on the ground and said to the subordinates who had been standing respectfully in place, "Pack everything up. We’re relocating."

"I remember some old man wanted to join us not long ago, right? Go contact him. Tell him I’m willing to give him a chance. We’ll see if he can seize it."

As soon as she finished speaking, a woman from the back of the group stepped forward, gave the boss a slight nod, and walked out quickly.

The boss paced in a small circle a few times, her expression shifting from burning rage to calm composure.

’It’s one thing for my men to get caught, but I can’t send anyone else over there now. I need to lie low and gather my strength for a while.’

’That whole damn territory is cursed for me!’

’I can’t stay here either. Who knows if that idiot will rat out my location now that he’s been captured!’

"Hurry up and pack. And wipe down every surface where my fingerprints might be," the boss ordered before turning and walking out.

Hearing the boss’s command, the faces of the subordinates standing there twisted for a moment.

The place was a complete wreck from her rampage; cleaning it up would be a huge pain.

’And we have to wipe for fingerprints? Doesn’t that just mean cleaning the whole place from top to bottom?’

’That’s way too much work!’

But they didn’t dare refuse and could only meekly agree.

"You’ve suffered a lot of setbacks over there recently. Why don’t you go have some fun? Relax a little?"

"I know of a certain project that’s right up your alley, Ma’am."

The assistant, who was driving, glanced at the boss’s gloomy expression, deliberated for a moment, and then spoke.

Hearing this, the boss looked up at the assistant in the driver’s seat and asked, "Where?"

Knowing he had piqued her interest, the assistant suppressed his own delight and said,

"International waters. Someone’s organizing a game out there. Aside from a small number of participants like yourself, the rest are all prime ’prey’ selected from all over the world."

"They’ll meet all of your requirements."
