“I’ll call them.”

Melody Thorne called all three of them, but none could be reached.

“Could something have happened to them?” Melody asked anxiously as she dialed the Thorne Group’s office, where the call was answered.

“Where’s Finn Thorne?”

“Mr. Thorne hasn’t been to the office at all today. He went home very late last night; perhaps he’s taking a break at home due to the recent workload. If you have any messages for Mr. Thorne, please let us know, and we’ll relay them to him.”

“Alright, tell him it’s Melody Thorne, and ask him to call me as soon as he returns.”

“Understood.”

“Melody, how’s it? Where has the whole family gone?” Mrs. Sila asked anxiously.

“I don’t know. They said they saw Finn Thorne yesterday. Where could they have gone today?”

“Does the Thorne Family have any surveillance cameras installed?” Jared Quinn asked.

“Yes, there’s a surveillance room on the third floor. I’ll go find the key,” Melody said, entering Levin Thorne’s study. She found the key in a small drawer, opened the surveillance room, and reviewed a day’s worth of footage, but since the morning, there was no one at the Thorne estate.

“Check last night’s footage.”

Melody played back the footage from last night, witnessing a group infiltrating the Thorne estate and capturing everyone, including the servants.

“Who are these people? How can they just abduct people like this?”

“I’ll have Harold Chapman look into it. You should go back with Mom first.”

“Wait, I want to go with you,” Melody said, clutching Jared Quinn’s sleeve. “I’m worried about them.”

“Alright, you both go together. I’ll have the driver take me back to the Quinn Family, there’s nothing to worry about.”

“Mom, be careful. We’ll head over to Harold’s place first.”

“Alright, go on.”

Before leaving, Jared Quinn made a copy of the footage.

As Melody exited the Quinn Family home, she deliberately looked around, hoping to find a clue left by clever Finn Thorne, leading to their whereabouts, but found nothing.

At Harold Chapman’s place,

He quickly ordered roadblocks across Ardenia, including all vehicles that left from Thorne Family’s gate.

But in secluded areas, those vehicles completely disappeared from the surveillance cameras.

“For now, we can only search from where they vanished. As for the identity of these people, simply watching won’t determine it, unless they have distinct markings on them.”

“Then let’s start searching that area first.”

“Sister-in-law, has Uncle Thorne met or offended anyone recently?”

“No, ever since my dad returned from Crestfall, he’s been staying at the Thorne estate, mainly with my mom, and hasn’t offended anyone. Besides, Selina Sloan works at my dad’s studio and sees him every day. There’s no way he could have offended anyone.”

“If that’s the case, I fear those who took away the Thornes may be someone Uncle Thorne knew before—not someone from Ardenia. With Jared around, no one would dare to target them here.”

“Regardless of whether they’re from before or now, I’m only worried about their safety. I’m afraid those people might harm them,” Melody expressed her concern.

“No one will kill or severely harm them without revealing their intentions first, so you can rest easy. I’ll immediately assign more people to uncover their whereabouts by tonight.”
