Chapter 1571 - 1569: Confidentiality

The reason Yang Chen chose to let Yang Cao continue the experiment was that he needed to understand the characteristics of this substance. Only by understanding it could he have a concept in mind and comprehend its importance.

In the experiment chamber.

Yang Cao said to Yang Chen, "Using the spray method wastes too many resources. Although it has strong lethality, it's unnecessary. This black powder, as long as it damages the parasitic body, causes absolute damage and is irreparable, so we can achieve the best effect with the minimal dosage."

As he spoke, Yang Cao pointed at a mutated white mouse in the experiment chamber and said, "Look, I'll cut it open with a knife to observe the effect."

After saying this, a blade gleaming with cold light instantly sliced the white mouse open.

The mouse was cut open almost in an instant.

Yang Chen observed carefully.

The mutated white mouse did not die after being cut open.

Because after being parasitically mutated, even if it's cut into several pieces, it might not die as long as the parasite remains; it can quickly regenerate.

But there was no regeneration now. Each cut piece remained an individual body, and aside from seeing parasites squirming, there was no sign of recovery.

Yang Cao said, "As long as they're hurt by something contaminated with the black powder, they have no healing capability whatsoever! If this were a human experimental subject, they would have lost the ability to resist and move by now. Although it can't kill them, we only need the simplest method!"

With that, Yang Cao reached out and pressed a button.

A burst of flames sprayed out directly in the experiment chamber, and instantly, the test subject was incinerated into a handful of ash.

Yang Chen nodded slightly, very satisfied with this outcome.

"You must ensure that this information isn't leaked! This is top secret, absolutely not allowed to be circulated! We must keep this in our own hands! It will play a decisive role at a critical moment!" Yang Chen instructed.

Yang Cao replied seriously, "I understand! It will be strictly confidential!"

In the lab, they had a set of rigorous confidentiality protocols that could still be applied now that they had moved here.

Yang Cao would manage the team according to the strictest standards to ensure no information would be leaked.

"Can this material be replicated?" Yang Chen asked.

Yang Cao hesitated for a moment, then answered gravely, "Difficult!"

Yang Chen frowned.

Although the black ball appeared large, the black matter on it wasn't plentiful, and if used extensively for various experiments, it might not be enough.

After stating it was difficult, Yang Cao turned his words, "It's not impossible to replicate! Saying it's difficult is truly accurate! The content information and structure it contains are extremely complex; with current technology, it's hard to decipher. But what can be confirmed is that the raw material for this thing is the parasite! However, how it transforms still needs time to research!"

Yang Chen nodded slightly, "Then that's more manageable! As long as we know the raw material, it means there's direction and hope!"

"Yes!" Yang Cao said, "If we fully dedicate ourselves to the research, I'm confident in overcoming this obstacle, but currently, time and personnel are limited. I can only say I'll try to research it as soon as possible, but I can't be certain of the timeline, as there is too much uncertainty in this, and I don't have absolute confidence!"

Yang Chen nodded, "Scientific experiments are a process of exploring the unknown, needing to be gradual, and done slowly!"

He greatly believed in Yang Cao's ability but was also wary of Yang Cao's madness when it comes to research, so he didn't dare to burden him too heavily. Yet, regarding parasites, the burden had always been on Yang Cao, so Yang Chen could only try to comfort him hoping to alleviate some of the pressure.

After leaving the laboratory, Yang Chen led people to carry out sealing work.

The individuals who had been with Yang Chen during the expedition were detained.

Yang Chen was very suspicious of these people's backgrounds, suspecting that some shareholders might even have inextricably linked relationships. Hence, these people were key hold targets, and he couldn't afford to be careless.

Now, they were completely isolated from external contact.

Only when Yang Chen could ensure their safety would they be released!

They protested strongly but were still detained.

Regarding their inquiries, Yang Chen simply said, "Cooperate with the work!"

The protest was invalid, and they had no choice but to comply.

After leaving the confinement room, Yang Chen saw Ye Xin.

"Is everything ready?" Yang Chen asked as soon as they met.

Ye Xin nodded, "Everything is ready. I've already arranged for the first group to go over and set up preliminary protective measures and liaised with Monkey Country."

Yang Chen nodded, admitting that Ye Xin's efficiency was truly formidable.

"That's good! As for safety, I don't think I need to worry; you will take care of it," Yang Chen said.

"There's no need for you to worry. I can handle such things myself!" Ye Xin said proudly.

Seeing Ye Xin's demeanor, Yang Chen couldn't help but display a slight smile.

"You all went to the cliff yesterday, how was the situation inside?" Ye Xin asked.

Yang Chen pondered for a moment, slightly shaking his head, "Nothing special, just some vine guards were awakened."

Ye Xin realized, "So, it was those guards! But how did they suddenly get disturbed out of nowhere?"

Ye Xin seemed to think of something dreadful and hastily asked, "It seems there were many vine guards inside, could it be they all woke up?"

If so, that would be too terrifying!

Yang Chen immediately shook his head, smiling, "How could it be, only a few woke up, and I've already dealt with some, there's nothing to worry about."

Ye Xin heard this and breathed a sigh of relief, smiling, "Then that's good! After all, this place seems just like a ticking time bomb!"

Yang Chen nodded slightly, actually feeling quite troubled himself inside.

"Ah, yes!" Ye Xin said, "I came to find you because there's new information from Ningchuan's Yuan Group."

"Yuan Group?" Yang Chen raised an eyebrow, asking, "What's the situation?"

"They've been in contact with the hacker department, saying they're preparing for the next round of attacks," Ye Xin said.

"The second round of attacks?" Yang Chen frowned, "They're really courting death!"

Ye Xin shrugged and said, "Their attitude is quite tough!"

Yang Chen said, "It's like they are old fools risking their lives! Did you find their headquarters? We should just get rid of them entirely when the time comes!"

Ye Xin shook his head, "They are very cautious, never exposing their true location. Even during this operation, they didn't choose to send directly from the headquarters, instead, they rooted a group over from Monkey Country!"

"Monkey Country?" Yang Chen frowned, "It seems they've got a deep collaboration going!"
