Chapter 198: Junior Brother, You’re Alive!
Without the slightest interruption, Nova pushed back into her and continued. Inside the system space, time no longer mattered.
They kept going, lost in each other, with no need to worry about the approaching morning.
....
After a long, deep sleep that completely washed away their exhaustion, Nova finally opened his eyes.
He didn’t know exactly how long he had been asleep, but his body and mind felt thoroughly refreshed. The events from before they fell asleep were still clear in his mind.
Looking down, he saw Nyxara sleeping soundly on top of him. Her upper body was entangled with his, her beautiful crimson hair spread across his chest.
Both of them were still completely naked. Her soft, large breasts pressed warmly against his body, and the sensation made him feel a quiet sense of bliss.
After they had entered the system space, they had continued without stopping. Only now did Nova truly realize how far his body and libido had surpassed those of ordinary humans warriors by far.
Combined with his unique physique and bloodline, a single night was nowhere near enough to satisfy him anymore.
{Yeah... you understood it correctly. And how lucky for you that you have such a convenient system space. You can go as long as you want, and only a fraction of that time will pass in the real world.}
"Yeah... I really am lucky." Nova paused, then suddenly sat up a little. "Oh wait—!"
He had just remembered the state of the bedsheets back in the Duke’s mansion. They had been completely soaked with his cum. If the maids saw that, they would probably faint on the spot.
{Don’t worry. I already changed the bedsheets,} Liya replied casually.
"You did? ...Ah, thank you very much." Nova chuckled. These days, Liya had been acting surprisingly considerate.
{You better be grateful. Now get up already. Although she acts all mighty and gets shy at the beginning... she’s a beast just like you.}
Nova chuckled at that. He reached down and gently caressed Nyxara’s soft, plump ass. The touch drew a small, cute reaction from her, and her crimson eyes slowly fluttered open.
"You’re finally awake, princess?"
Nyxara looked at his face. For a moment she seemed to recall where she was and everything that had happened. A soft smile spread across her lips as she snuggled closer against him.
Nova found the rare display of cuteness amusing.
"Alright," he said after a moment. "I need to go out now. I want to check on the situation in the capital... and meet a friend."
Nyxara looked up at him.
"I’ll come with you as well."
"Will that be alright?" Nova asked. "There are already many powerful figures in the capital. What if someone recognizes you?"
Nyxara let out a small huff.
"Hmph. Who do you think I am? If I don’t want to be noticed, not even the Human Emperor himself would be able to see through my disguise. That’s what a Sovereign’s aura is capable of — blending into a crowd without drawing any attention."
Nova didn’t question it further. He still knew very little about the true capabilities of Sovereigns, so he simply trusted her judgment.
"Alright then. Let’s ask Rieka and Asia to come along as well. They haven’t left the mansion in months because of how long we’ve been training."
Nyxara simply nodded, then added,
"We should take Velena with us too."
After a short pause, she continued in a more serious tone.
"And... my father has been trying to contact me through my communication stone. Somehow, he already knows I’m on the human continent."
Nova’s expression shifted.
"What? Really?"
He was surprised. How had the Demon Lord managed to figure out her location? Was it possible for a communication stone to be tracked, almost like a smartphone?
{No, that’s not possible. There must be another reason,} Liya interjected.
Seeing the worry on his face, Nyxara spoke calmly.
"Don’t worry. Even if he knows I’m here, he won’t attack openly. This is the territory of the Human Emperor.
The Beast-Folk Emperor and other powerful figures will also be arriving soon. He would be a fool to make a move under these circumstances."
Nova nodded. She was right. There was no point dwelling on matters completely outside his control right now.
For the time being, he would focus on what he could control — obtaining a pass to the secret realm and winning the upcoming tournament alongside his Asia and Rieka.
After that, Nova and Nyxara cleaned themselves up inside the system space and changed into fresh sets of clothes. When they finally stepped back out into the real world, they found themselves in the same room. Only a few minutes had passed outside.
Before leaving the system space, Nova had asked Liya how long they had actually been inside.
Her answer had been simple: They had gone at it like rabbits for two full days.
Outside, the sun had already risen. The quiet sounds of maids cleaning could be heard from the hallway. Nova and Nyxara sat together in the room, talking about minor things to pass the time while waiting for everyone else to wake up.
After about an hour, everyone was awake.
They all gathered around the dining table for breakfast. Theodore had already returned and was seated with them.
Nova introduced Nyxara to him.
The moment Theodore realized who she truly was, his expression stiffened. As the Duke of a kingdom, he possessed a certain level of knowledge about the powerful figures of the world — and Nyxara’s name was not one that could be taken lightly.
When Nova had previously mentioned her, Theodore had assumed he was speaking about someone else.
But now, seeing the woman in person and recognizing the well-known Demon Princess, his jaw nearly dropped from a mixture of shock and fear.
What kind of man is Nova? he thought.
He wasn’t even twenty years old, yet he had brought home a wife who was none other than the infamous and mighty Demon Princess.
In the end, Theodore decided it was better not to dwell on matters far beyond his understanding. What truly mattered was that his daughter was in safe hands.
After the initial tension settled, Nova asked about the meeting.
Theodore exhaled lightly.
"Nothing too unusual. We mainly discussed the upcoming tournament. This year’s event is expected to be the grandest one in a long time, since many powerful figures will be attending."
"His Majesty is quite worried and wants everything to be perfect. The situation isn’t exactly stable right now... especially with the recent attacks from the Eclipse Order."
"On top of that, the Demon generals of Demon Lord Raze and Blood moon cult are still at large. No one knows what they might do next."
Nova nodded. None of it was particularly surprising. These were the usual undercurrents of the current time — nothing that required his immediate attention after breakfast.
Once the meal was finished, Nova turned to Asia and Rieka.
"How about we go take a look around the capital together?"
Of course, he invited Velena as well. Even if he hadn’t, she would have followed her princess regardless. All of them looked clearly pleased at the idea of finally leaving the mansion after such a long time.
As they stepped outside, Nova took out his communication stone and contacted Bai Chen.
Bai Chen finally answered, though his voice sounded tense and wary — clearly not expecting a call from someone he believed to be long dead.
After Asia and Rieka arrived at Frosthall Hunters Guild, Bai Chen told them that he was going to seek some help. However, he never returned or showed up again afterward.
Later, when Asia and Rieka learned that Nova was alive, they hadn’t possessed the mana signature of Bai Chen’s communication stone, so they were unable to contact him. Because of that, Bai Chen still had no idea that Nova had survived.
["J-Junior Brother Nova...?"]
The hesitant voice came through the communication stone.
Nova immediately understood the situation.
"Where are you, Brother Bai Chen?"
["Y-You...! You must be a demon pretending to be this old one’s junior brother!!"]
Nova pressed a hand to his forehead and let out a quiet sigh. Clearly, Bai Chen wasn’t going to believe him so easily.
Without wasting time, he switched the communication stone to visual mode. The projection activated, allowing both of them to see each other clearly.
The moment Bai Chen’s eyes landed on Nova’s face, his expression completely
changed.
["Junior Brother Nova... you’re alive!!"]
Nova gave a small smile.
"Yes. I’m alive and well. I want to meet you. Where are you right now?"
